31:30 Ali realizing not only did Sang woo betray him, but that he’s never going to see his wife and baby again, or his family back in Pakistan :,( thinking that he realized this in his last moments was what really got me.
Edit: Immigrants are also often tricked and taken advantage of; I’m not sure if this was Hyuk’s intention with Ali, but his story sure reflects a very real situation that a lot of immigrants deal with day to day in any country they move to.
I think it was intentional. His conversation with his boss about the wages with held made it fairly clear

Call me heartless but I didn't cry at this episode
I cried watching the episode, and i just did again. The part that broke me was when Ji said "Thanks for playing with me" and if you pay close attention she held herself from crying...
No matter how many times I watch this ep, you can't avoid the tears man. Ji-yeong's, "Thanks... for playing with me" still shook me.
And about the term gganbu, (I read it somewhere, not 100% sure coz I'm not Korean), it's like a pact between 2 people, where there's no ownership. In this ep, where Gi-Hun and the old man each have 10 marbles, they have no ownership on those marbles. That's why at the last scene, the old man decided to give Gi-Hun his last marble, saying that it's Gi-Hun's. "With gganbu, mine or yours doesn't matter."

you’re one of the few people i’ve watched that didn’t fully blame Sang-Woo for what he did.
he’s obviously cared for Ali, he sent him off so he didn’t have to look him in the eyes,
but it was a life or death situation, he did what he had to, to survive.
Bruh people need to stop with the soft spoilers. Saying “OH YOURE GONNA HATE THE NEXT PART” or “ugh wait till you get to the next episode it was so sad!!” sets expectations and is still a spoiler even if it’s vague

This episode made me ugly sob cry for about an hour, when ji-yeong gets killed after saying thank you for playing with me, it destroyed me. And lovely Ali 😢
If you haven't seen it yet, I highly highly recommend Train to Busan, if you think this is emotional, you'll be a blubbering wreck after that. It's an outstanding film!

Same that was the saddest part in the episode for me. Everyone betrayed each other but she willingly sacrificed herself knowing she would die....

it was more crazy to hear she isn't even an actress and was worried about her performance in the show not being good so the other girls helped her and supported her.

Not a spoiler but here is a note to make it even sadder; Ali started calling Sangwoo "Hyung" instead of sir and even his last line was "Sang-woo Hyung", "Hyung" when used from one guy to another means "Older Brother" meaning Ali respected, admired and trusted Sang-woo till the end, which just makes the betrayal that much more gut wrenching specially for Sang-woo ((i know alot of people hate him for betraying Ali but like you said, it was either that or dying, it doesnt mean he didnt feel guilty about it, and hearing Ali call him like that just before being shot was probably like a gut punch to him))
And there it is... the best episode of the season/series thus far and for plenty of good reasons. Every time without fail that I watch someone react to this episode, still to this day I can't hold myself back from tearing up (like when I first watched the episode myself). This episode is so perfectly written and the actors/actresses of Squid Game are truly incredible at what they do.
EDIT: The editing in this video is priceless even with it being the saddest episode of the show. You got me going from laughing to crying and vice versa...
Hoyeon Jung (Kang Sae Byeok) is a cutie, her real personality is completely different from her character

Because most people who watch reaction should know the scene/the plot.
The behind the scene with Kang Sae-Byeok and Gi-Yeong, Sae-Byeok's actress HoYeon Jung actually started crying and honestly I think that broke my heart more than the scene did.

During this episode you can hear Ali call Sang-Woo "Hyung" which means "older brother." It is used to refer to one's actual older brother, or to an older male friend you deeply trust. Ali trusted Sang-Woo like a brother up until the very end.
No shame for tears. It just shows your empathy of what was happen. And that makes you a real soul that love others. 💜💜💜

I'm an emotional person in general and I've cried with many shows, but this show was so violent psychologically and physically that I just never cried... My brain was too filled with all the violence for me to be able to cry and be emotional. 😅

I watched this episode a bit more than one week ago and I've been watching these scenes on theses reactions since then, every freaking day and the result is same: me crying a river. I would recommend that you see the cast interview, yes! You don't even need to record, you can see it off. There are several videos on the netflix channel with them. You will be surprised by the actress who played Kang Sae-byeok.

I never thought the same again about Sang Woo after what he did. I agree it was wrong for him to have taken advantage of Ali. I don't think most of the other players won their games by doing what Sang Woo did.
Having said that, if Sang Woo ended up cheating Ali, why didn't he do that when they first started? He even taught Ali how to play. 🤔
Edit: I understand Sang Woo was desperate and why he did what he did to Ali. I was stating that if he was a complete cold heartless person he would've tried to cheat Ali from the start.
At this point in ep 6, I thought Sang Woo's character was the most complicated one. He helped Gi Hun (pronounced Kgi-Hoon) in Red Light, but didn't help him in Sugar Honey Comb. He helps Ali in Marbles then cheats him. Gi Hun cheated too with the Old Man, but he felt remorse and guilt for doing so. Sang Woo didn't really.

manipulating him to earn his trust. ali, being so honest and generous, was an easy target
Because the cheating was a last-ditch, do-or-die strategy. Same reason Gi-hun didn't start lying until he was about to lose his last marble and eat a bullet. Survival instincts.
You know that they say, betrayal never comes from your enemies. He had to gain Ali's trust for the betrayal to work. But I agree w the previous comment that it was a last resort for Sang-woo, same as Gi-hun.
Ali was too pure for this world.
2 interesting details 1. Ali was shot in the back referring to being betrayed just like he did to his boss earlier 2. Ji-yeong was shot from the side referring to suicide because she gave up.
