The fact they're the best therapy dogs is no surprise! Goldens are such joyful and pretty dogs! My cousins recently had a golden retriever named August for only 2 days (due to their environment issues) and those 2 days were probably the best days of my life. I really miss August and I'll never forgot how happy and carefree I felt when he was still ours. If you're thinking about getting a golden, I ensure you that your time with it will be filled with lots of joy and fun! 💗
My family had a golden when I was a baby, then a chocolate lab then another golden. Totally unsurprising that they're #1 as therapy dogs. The ones we had were super intuitive on how to interact with people. We had an elderly neighbor one time who had a walker. When our golden got loose we were terrified she'd knock him over and break his hip or something. But to our surprise she ran up to him and then lay down at his feet. Just a wonderful breed.
I showed this to my Son and he walked away saying What are you doing to me Mom ? lol He is waiting until he is in a house to get a himself and his 3 year old daughter a Golden Retriever There is a hilarious video called If Dog Breeds were Human and the guy acting like a Golden Retriever is awesome....It will warm your heart for all the breeds he does but the GR one is PERFECT
