I did this 2 weeks ago - the surgery was successful and healing nicely, ... BUT don’t let anyone bullshit you the pain is insane even after two weeks. It hurts like hell still and I’m hopeful it subsides soon. I go walking and next day it hurts 3x as much - This saves your life, but make no mistake it’s a downright bitch to heal ..... just being honest.
@@noname2427 - Your dad will be fine - I am totally healed now one month later - I even mowed my grass today. But it does take a good 4-5 weeks before you are up and around. Coughing and sneezing still hurts but nowhere near like a month ago - So don’t worry 👍

I was in the hospital for back surgery the day I was to go home I had a stemi luckily I was in the hospital I ended up having to have a 5 way bypass all were 90% or more blocked LAD was 100% blocked never any symptoms no pain or shortness of breath I had a awesome surgeon he was able to use arteries for the bypass it went very well thankful to be alive
Thank you for the video and stories. I too had quint bypass with no presenting issues other than slightly elevated blood pressure. No high cholesterol, reasonably active, minor family history. Only giving blood found it. Went in to have my BP checked, days later, quintuple bypass. On the echo my heart was "textbook healthy" and still is, five years later. Men, we are vunerable to this! You don't know if you don't know and you will die from it! I was fortunate that it was caught. Others may not be. Do it!!!!
My dad is going through the same thing. Just found out he needs a quintuple bypass despite NEVER testing high for cholesterol, blood pressure, triglycerides, etc. He’s never been overweight, eats healthy, has always been active and worked on his feet, and has never felt any symptoms. This was only caught because of a change to his sleep apnea machine… he needed an echocardiogram before being approved for a new machine. The scan flagged some abnormalities, but even then the doctor figured it was a minor concern. Turns out there’s nothing minor about it. It’s been such a shock for our family. How are you feeling now?

My friend is 65 and was just told he needs a triple bypass.. anyone out there can offer some hope or advice?
95 percent survival rating, just do it. You will be fine. Had a quad in April. Healing nicely
After 5 bipass do you live 5 years
Try twenty

Usually those four wires are holding your sternum together and are left after surgery as a normal thing.
The wires are meant to stay in there
