I've watched some boat refitting/construction YT channels over the yrs, but honestly, none has had the unfortune AND the endurance as you two. It's really admirable how you're able to keep on given the many set backs you have encountered. You're allowed to cry. Won't blame you. But keep on. You CAN do it.
What a mess. It's really unfortunate you have to go thru all these situations. I do hope things get better for you very soon and you can go on with the refit... And splash that boat! All the best to you both.
Recently discovered your channel and started binge watching from beginning. Unbelievable how many setbacks and obstacles you guys encountered but your sheer determination brought you this far. I don’t know the outcome yet but I hoping for the best. This channel is no longer about boat building but power of human will overcoming adversities. You give inspiration to viewers to not give up in life.
As a wood butcher ( carpenter ) i would recommend spending a few days and rebuilding your wooden structure . Some additional bracing wouldn't be that expensive . Chk out the Duracell project they just constructed a similiar A frame enclosure . Make sure you strap it down so it won't blow away .cheers
Success is the result of many failures and struggles endured. You both will be stronger in the end and will have an increased sense of pride and accomplishment when you are putting this boat in the water. Your tenacity is a great asset and will be your greatest strength. I can’t wait to see you two sailing!
I feel for you. It seems like if you have any luck at all its bad luck. Hopefully the containers will be the solution. I wish you nothing but the best!! Cheers from Austin, TX
It has been said that men are formed by their failures, & driven by their difficulties! The seasons of hardship will be overcome with seasons of triumph! I believe in you two! You are so close to your accomplished refit….. Dont give up now. Press in & finish the dream! I am praying for your strength & stamina to remain!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Keep it up, you'll gonna make it, no doubt! Even with all these struggles. The positive out of that is that you'll know your boat from top to bottom. My only sadness is that the video is too short... and... as they say... a smooth sea never made a good sailor ;)
I have no idea how you continue. This entire project has been one setback about another. You certainly deserve better. But you can’t just continue to fail. Looking at your progress so far this is no where close to finishing. I feel so bad for you.
Hey guys, I’ve been with you since the beginning, I always enjoy your videos. This one saddens my heart for you guys but never give up and you guys well persevere I will continue to watch through the splash and all your journeys ahead of you. Thanks for sharing Ray from Oregon.
Shed fell because no diagonals. A tarp would have provided some anti-racking but diagonals even made of rope, would have kept it straight and probably salvageable. Anyway, on to new shelter. Many blessings in your next phase.
the amount of setbacks you have is unbelieveable i hope this new idea for cover/shed works has sergio come with because he was a lot of help The best of luck anyway see you soon
I just recently started watching your videos and I’m confused about your journey of ups and downs thus far…seems like a lot of downs and mistakes? Perhaps you can make a video describing them starting with explaining the condition of the boat when you got it. Was it cheap? Anyhow, you’re young, healthy, and have a passion for this boat…you two can make all the downs, mistakes, and hard work worth it! I’ll be watching now waiting for the great day when you can splash her. 💙
Welcome to our channel!! We've certainly have had an up hill battle to complete this boat. But we are fighting though 💪💪 We can certainly think of a way to make a video to answer these questions when we get a chance. There is one that recaps us fixing our hull before we started working on the interior that you can check out: ruclips.net/video/LsdtTvUheFM/видео.html. It gets you up till when we start the interior. Let us know if this answers some of your questions. And if you have any others, keep writing them in the comments and we'll try to incorporate them in the future. Cheers!!
Its always bad when see wat you have bilde is fail but keep up biding something new end finish the boat. You have already so many trouble overwon this struggle you can also be taken 👍👍🤗
Little steal boat is awesome, but honestly, i wouldve cut my losses. You could've built something custom from fiberglass and bigger too with how much you've put in. Still could. Once you get those skills, making a fiberglass boat is pretty dang inexpensive and fast. Either way its your choice, your battles, your time.
Sad, everything seemed so nice with a knowledgeable and helpful carpenter. Spacious premises and powerful machines. I hope you had time to complete all the details of the interior before the move. We wonder if that has anything to do with you as a woman facing the patriarchy? We wish both of you all the best!
I don’t understand why y’all waited till the last minute I’m pretty sure y’all knew that they were moving and more than just a day that’s just craziness to me, but you gotta do what you Gotta do. Good luck.
I must say that I never understood the premise, of undertaking this size of a project, on such an unremarkable(and small) boat. Seeing as boats in Brazil are stupidly expensive and the sheer amount of time that this project was always going to take, plus living costs for the years that the refit would take, how was buying a newer boat in America or the Caribbean never an option? I mean, there's no way the math adds up, that this was the better option. Unless you guys are more interested in the design and build out of a boat than actually sailing it? Help us understand the stress/time/money benefit of this project.
Initially, I liked your channel, the project and Lori. However, the whole thing has lurched from one whiney drama to another, seemingly weekly. I may check in again in the future to see if you ever actually get to the water with your boat.

Life is full of struggles. You'll make it through this one and win the battle. I'm sure you will because you have that get-it-done attitude.

How many ‘solutions’ have there been?

Couple of years from now you look back to this as a big advanture. Keep enjoying it.
No they won’t… They will look back on this as a huge mistake.
You guys are going to get through this. Everything happens for a reason. Love your channel. Stay positive. 😎👍
Thanks!
A million thanks for your amazing support! ❤️❤️⛵️

You gotta just keep on keeping on...
Its never dull for you is it..i'd be exausted by now 👊🏻
Never dull in deed!! Believe us when we say, we’re gonna be taking a well deserved break in a beautiful island somewhere when we are done!
Great video!

Could you not store in the hull?
Yes! I guess we didn’t show that. Large pieces are being transported in the hull. Everything else that can will go in the crates.
Stay in positivity a solution will come

We had one month to not just pack but finish what we could in the build. The one day story was an anecdote about us moving apartments once. Cheers!
Get a PODS.
Why don’t you mention and promote the company that helped you with the boat fitout?
💪💪💪💪💪💪
oh i am the first one 😋
