Also it is true that the Queen of England is still the head of state of Canada, but that only applies to Queen Elizabeth II we are loyal to her and her alone. The UK government is not recognized as our leader nor any of their members except the Queen. In other words: The UK does not own Canada, only the Queen does. If the UK was to ever fall, we would welcome Queen Elizabeth II as our Queen but if their prime minister came, he'd just be treated as some random refugee.
Just wanted to make this clear, because a lot of people tend to make the wrong assumption.

Dominion of Canada was the old name from back when Canada was still part of the British Empire and not fully independent. But since independence its just called Canada.

Oh one last thing: Military ranks are full of crap, i looked up a lot on the world's militaries as a hoby and from my search experience the so called official rankings are very bias: Anyone allied with the US is exagerated and ranked higher then they should. While everyone enemy or not on good terms with the US (excluding top 4) are underrated and ranked lower then they should be. I am Canadian and i am telling you there is no way in hell for us to beat countries like North Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Egypt or Brazil. Heck even Mexico has better stuff then we do.

      💯💯
I am an american and I'm pretty sure even Mexico would give us a lot of trouble if we were to go to conventional war today

@@MycatsbirthdaypartyI agree, Mexico is one of those few underrated nations, tho not underrated as Brazil, Venezuela or even Vietnam. Meanwhile Canada is a bit overrated. I am sorry but there is no way in hell that we could win a war vs North Korea and yet we rank higher??? We allies sure, but alone? No way. Then we got Germany, the singular most overrated nation. Yes they were all powerful in the 2 world wars but what people don't realize is Germany lost all of what made it power at the end of world war 2: Most its soldiers died. The rest either fled or became prisoners and got spread out to other countries. Only a few got back to Germany. Then all of the military assets and industry got taken and got split between the Americans and Soviets. They never got back to Germany. Look at Russia's AK, it based on some of the assets they got from Germany. And look at the American tanks, the Abram. Completely different from the predecessor American tank and thats because its not an American design, its a German design. With all of what Germany lost it severely weakened it. Today Germany's realistic strength would be comparable to Mexico. No where near the top 10. These days most of the powerful nations are in Asia. A century ago they were technologically behind but since the American world market became a thing, they were able to simply buy what they lacked and with their numerical superiority they are now more powerful then any European powers except Russia. And when i say they, i am referring to nations like Pakistan, Vietnam, Iran, Indonesia, Thailand and other such Asian nations. Of course this includes China and India, tho those 2 aren't underrated.

@@MycatsbirthdaypartyYup, as for Canada its overrated or rather the ranking was accurate 70 years ago but needs an update. In the 50s Canada really was a powerhouse with over one million troops, the world third largest navy. Technologically we were ahead of everyone, we had nukes, (Canada took part in the designing and production of the first nuke, without Canadian uranium the first nuke project wouldve been a failure) Canada was first to make a jet that broke the sound barrier, 2 years ahead of the US. Canada took part of the space race and was 3rd in space (the Alouette) but first to send a woman to space (Julie Paillet) Canada invented Steroids for its super soldier program, it actually was so successful it was used in the Olympics and suddenly Canada was winning nearly all the gold medal. Was so unfair that the Soviets Americans started purchasing steroids and eventually the drug was banned in the Olympics. But it really works, just dont exaggerate on the amount you take because eventually it will kill you and you can only take it for so long before your body starts rejecting it. For some it takes years, for others its barely a few months. Tho it works as they say: With power comes danger.

@@Mycatsbirthdayparty But today, Canadsa is a shell of its former glory. True Canada never lost a war. But thanks to all the pro ppeace politicians we've had our military was dismantled, most ships of our fleet sold to the Americans, our Space program lost so much budget that it was forced to choose between merging with the American NASA or disband. Our q army got as low as 50 thousands less then 5% of its former size. All of our tankas were melted down. Even our renown gun factory Daimaco was sold to the US. Had that now been sold to the Americans, the iconic M4 would have been a Canadian gun. Even our war hero Léo Major got forgotten becausemention was allocated to promoting violence. Léo Major is the only man in history to have liberated aa whole town of 50 thousand people by himself WW2. But his biggest exploit was in the Korean war: 10 thousand Americans that were holding hill 355 (the American hq with all the munition) had lost the hill 355 to a massive Chinese surprise attack and the Americans were in full retreat. Léo took 18 men with him, made them wear sneakers to sneak past the Chinese front lines. (the sneakers shoes got their name from Léo Major. Before the were jjust walking shoes) then Léo's squad took back the hill all by themselves in a night. Then in the morning they opened fire on the confused Chinese front line who didn't understand why they were being shot from behind. Then in the following 3 days Chinese send over 14 thousand troops to retake 355. But not only did the Chinese fail to retake hill 355, a third of their numbers were killed and who knows how many were wounded. And after all of that Léo Major's squad suffered ZERO deaths. Only wounded was a guy that tripped and hurt his arm. That was 19 vs over 14 000 charging at them. Its not like most sniper story where they snipe a few guys then run away and repeat it the next like that finland hero. This is you are stuck on a hill, the enemy knows exactly where you are and you are completely surrounded. You sniper hero would maybe kill a few hundred before being overrun and killed. So how did Léo squad survive? Its by coordinated mortar stikes from a near team and Léo was really good at giving coordinates. If he was by one degree it means getting killed by his own mortor strike and the radio operator of the mortor even commented on this: It was hard to hear Léo's voice because of all the explosions i'd hear through the radio.
      -
Only reason Léo Major's exploits survived at all is because his story died his homeland Canada. It thrived in the country of the town he liberated and was revived in Canada when a Deutch television news crew came knocking at Léo's house in Canada for an interview. Caused quite the commotion and then it was further revived when some RUclipsrs made videos on it. I learned from the videos and didn't believe it so i did my own research and found out about the Deutch tv involvement that way.
      -
The modern day Special Forces are the result of the world trying to replicate Léo Major's squad and the way he fought. He basically invented what special forces do.
