      @@jrgarza1964 Valuable comic books have not gone down in value or desirability. Most comics from the 80s 90s are worthless. They stay worthless. X Men? Please. I see that 80/90s trash everywhere. Those guys know very little about comics. Just perpetuating baseless cliches.

    You'll never get rich collecting comics, especially from the 1990s onward, pennies on the dollar. But older collectors still collect the old ones from the 40s to the 70s.

      James Mourgos Marvel Comics from the 1960s-1980s is where you’ll get the most money from, also action comics from the 1940s-1980s

    Legend has it Mr. Brown had already read all these comics and once an expert got called in to authenticate them he noticed all the publishings were worth double what Rick had paid and continued to get along famously.

    X-Men 266 is selling for 200 or so depending on condition. The ones they showed were right in the same area. He could have had some good ones.

    Reason no one buys comic books: most of us don't read them. My dad has hundreds, all sixties and seventies. Comic book nerds, despite the stereotype really dont exist.

    To Rick Harrison I heard the other day that the Old Man (Your Dad) passed away and I wanted to offer my condolences to you, Cory and Chumley as I know you guys miss him even though he acted the grumpy part so often. He always had a gleam in his eyes like he was up to something mischievous and always brought a smile to my face when he would say some wisecrack. I know you folks miss the (Old Man) so do I as I like all you folks on Pawn Stars.

    When I visited the shop roughly half a decade ago I didn't see any comic books. I guess the Old Man gave them all away to kids.
    For real though, if that guy walked up to me with a giant box of old comics and asked for $150, I'd ask him to walk with me to the nearest ATM.

      DAVID MOVRIN one Batman issue on there was worth at least 300 or at least I'd pay that amount. Early 40s are rare

    Fast Forward to 2022...Graded Amazing Fantasy 15 goes for $3.6 Million.
    Comic books have solidified their place in history with so much influence on today's culture. 30 years from now, some people will kick themselves in the butt by believing it's a dying industry and passing over comics of recent years that will be worth exponential what they are today.
