Hello Demetrious~ Thank you so much for sharing my fight here in your channel 👍👍 I’m a huge fan of you~ I would be appreciated if you can give me any advice~ Thank you
51 but showed really good reaction time until he got tired. shows that if you take care of your health you can still function at a high level as you age.
How is that possible. When I was a kid I thought 30 was old. And that's because it is. If you are over30 you are both old. Your bestyars are mostly behind you. And yeah... Not much changes from there besides things stop working how they should. Live in reality. It's way easier dude. You most likely more than halfway.

LOL! Yes! I was 60 and 61 in my first two. Nice to see these older guys keeping a healthy lifestyle. He looks JACKED! Keep 'em coming DJ, love the content.
@pa_2600 Because of covid, there were no BJJ tournaments to get into. Plus, I wanted to go out to Virginia to compete until I found out there was a branch in Washington state, so I did.
His corner actually told him to keep distance and jab. Mighty suggested the uppercut. IMO, should've used his range: kick and jab at a distance.@@black_squall
I've been fighting for a while, but I have NEVER thought about the way energy transfers into a taller opponent like that. Really sound advice, I fight pretty tall myself (I'm 6'3) and I have a style similar to what Mighty Mouse is describing here. This is some really sound advice for taller fighters out there. Also, shout out to that freaking 51 year old man out there ringing bells still. Crikey, that guy is impressive.
Love these StreetBeefs. Amateur circuits are so much more relevant and provide a better opportunity to learn from others mistakes. Pro bouts are ran by, well, pros. Also these guys are so much more unique. Love it.

love the chuck of dirt Old boy rips out of the ground with his back foot during final blow. well done guys, beautiful! Thanks again for a great breakdown!
Oldboy is the name of a really good asian martial arts horror/thriller movie. Its about a guy who gets kidnapped as a young adult, and imprisoned in a featureless room. He randomly gets released like 13 years later. he spent the whole time teaching himself martial arts in isolation. he goes on a rampage trying to find who put him in there, and why they let him out. There was an american remake that wasnt as good. I bet this guy took his name from the movie. Because this guy is self taught just like Oldboy was. at the end this guy says he taught himself and his only other teacher was Uncle BOB. like the BOB training dummies from Century Martial Arts.
@@yvonnesanders4308 In the end of the video which Mighty Mouse did not show he said he has his own style and NEVER was in a gym or had ANY professional training.. Nuts.
The old dudes style is a real old school brawler his punches are pretty wide and often haymakerish but his timing, aim and movement is on point all the more impressive given his age and his supposed lack of hard background.
My father always reminded me two things as life lesson. One, "Do not bring home whores because she will break the family into pieces and cut off lineage". Two, "A sharp katana is beheld only when it is used by a samurai not a butcher". It's how you use anything rightfully. The old man knows how to use his force.

Just saw the Street Beef video the other day and this is cool as hell! One of MMA's greatest if not the greatest, breaking down a Street Beefs match. The people have a champion and his name is Demetrious Johnson!
The biggest thing I saw is when the older dude helped the young guy up and they were both smiling. Like happy smiles. Good on both of them for being good sports!
I love the flow of the older man.. his whole body seems to work together.. especially in the last punch you can see how he generates so much power into that punch because his whole body leans into it with great posture
Anyone that is willing to step into an enclosure and participate in mutually agreed combat is a beast…it takes courage and confidence !! Ultimate test of constitution and resolve!
I seen a boxer in his 60 absolutely destroy the young team at sparring. Multi hit combos and with his amazing footwork he was a ghost when they tried to throw back. Also witnessed and old judo black belt in his early 70’s pick up a young dude above and press him above his head a couple of times before putting him back down.
It’s the small obvious things a pro points out like simply height effecting leverage on a body part receiving blows that amazes me. Most people are conscious of distance on a horizontal level when it comes to striking, and yes everyone know getting caught with the wrong head movement can give you a quick ticket to a KO but the way MM thinks about it is so in depth. It’s to be expected from a goat but getting into his mind like this is enlightening. I would be interested in seeing him have other elite strikers on to basically make a segment about it breaking down the techniques they’re seeing from each of their views. I’ve seen him talking with other fighters in a similar fashion but I mean a consistent thing. Basically what he did with Cejudo but with everyone.
The old man has great awareness. He never backs to the cage or gets caught in a corner. He's also always aware of the distance with his opponent. Great mastery of an underrated skill.
Dude even said he dips his head but instead of thinking uppercut he said jab to the top of the head which is the hardest part of a man’s skull lmao. People are really clueless when it comes to fighting!
FYI he was a professional fighter in Thailand. He likes to say that he just has a little bit of training but it's not true, he was a professional fighter and a pretty good one at that.
