Hi. I need a manual for my Double Dash Bonus Disk version. I've been looking at the ones on eBay and had a question. Is there a difference between the two manuals...? I'm just wondering if the bonus disk manual has a section about the bonus disk content. I don't want to purchase the wrong one in case there is a difference. Any info would help. Thanks....
Good question... My booklets are the same for both. I highly doubt a different booklet was made to include bonus disc info. If you find out otherwise please let me know.
Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately I only have one "true" complete-in-box Super Mario Sunshine and don't have Melee in the collection so it will be a long time before I get to those. I can still share some hardcore collector info tho... From what I know, there is the black label and player's choice for sunshine. There is also the "not for resale" version which were bundled with indigo Gamecubes back in 2002. I'm unaware if there is a "best seller" label version, but don't think so. The early runs of sunshine included a Nintendo power form catered to sunshine and a double-sided advertisement for animal crossing. The AC advert is smaller in size than the Nintendo subscription forms and precautions booklet that came with gamecube games at the time. It's about the size of a postcard. I'm unsure how the inserts changed over the years with the later print runs, i.e player's choice. Takes a fair amount of research to figure out. As for Melee there are three versions, original black label, "best seller" label, player's choice. I haven't researched smash as much. if smash was bundled with a console there would be a "not for resale" version. To my knowledge these came with a Nintendo power form with a lineup of the characters on it. I'm unsure if there were changes to inserts in the later print runs similar to double dash. Hopefully this helps you out.
@@Dregantz Thanks for the info. I look forward to utilizing this series in regards to versions and inserts. I've been using eBay listings to determine which inserts go with which, but the discrepancy between listings makes me unable to get a definite answer. Call it OCD, but these details matter to hardcore collector, so I'm glad videos like this finally materialized. Will you cover games for other platforms such as N64 or SNES?
I wish I had N64 and SNES games in the collection. Maybe that will change in the future...I hope. Very difficult to find complete-in-box resources to confirm. It's pretty much why I started the collector's resource series of vids (to catalog/archive this kind of stuff and other tips). I completely understand the hunt for true complete-in-box/variant games. I'm the same way. It makes collecting more challenging but it can be more fun and rewarding.
@@Dregantz I recently scored Mario Party 4+5 for $20 for both on Facebook Marketplace, incredible luck, really. And I just remembered certain games have retail-exclusive variants, such as from K-Mart and Target, so that just further convolutes things. Side question, do you plan on unboxing more consoles?
Yup, that's true. Metroid Prime is one with a retail exclusive too. Quite annoying if you plan to hunt them down. I do have plans to do more handheld/console unboxings, but I don't have any complete-in-box before DS and Wii era.
My Childhood.

Ok. And thanks....
why on earth are your manuals upside down
it's to prevent the holder clips from causing warp/waving along the spines of the manual. tends to happen with thick gamecube manuals
@@Dregantz oh I see, can't say I ever cared about the warp myself
Would you be able to cover Super Mario Sunshine & Super Smash Bros. Melee?
Thanks for the comment!
