He never mentioned Spurs,to be fair Spurs were not challenging for the league under Jose and Levy did 2 windows with no inbound transfers under Porch and took away the momentum (challenging for the league in 2 seasons and getting to UCL final)

Your opinion is totally valid. Football is all about opinions. I just feel differently. IMO his managerial style, especially on the pitch, isn’t what we should be about. But as I’ve said, when he’s not manager of Spurs I think he’s box office. Cheers for watching!

@@barnabyslater_ I only want to talk about Ange's progress and set up, let's move on from the past. Ange has had a good start in his two windows, we paid too much for Johnson considering what he has shown, The boy looks as nervous as a kitten during matches, I am not sure why ?
Johnson is still young and this was his 2nd season in the prem, so he will mature and become better. I agree we paid too much for him but he wasnt a complete flop for us this season.

@@barnabyslater_ It was about Chelsea. They were the ones who were 9th and tried to have a miracle to get Europa. The other day in the Champions league final he praised Tottenham for stability and called it an amazing club while saying he has no idea what Chelsea are doing.

@@barnabyslater_ have watched every Leeds game last season on TV. He is versatile, RB ( cover for Porro ) midfielder. He has good control, confident on ball, tenacious and also had quality pedigree. He is just a kid and more than held his own in a strong team against tough opposition. Will only get better

We have allways had great strikers, garth crooks, mark falco, i like richardlson as well, he works hard and as you said 15/20 goals a season

I don’t put much credence into The Athletic, especially when they publish words like ‘admiration’. I think a lot of clubs admire Isak. It’s an easy article to create. Newcastle will not let him go
I think they just have to be careful with their words don’t they? So as not to reveal sources etc. I think The Athletic are pretty good compared to most rags no?
@@barnabyslater_ We all know it's an unrealistic target given the fee limitations that Tottenham set themselves in the transfer window. There's no way Isak is going for anything less than 70m. The Athletic aren't a rag, but they are still a digital business who are in the business of clicks, views, and subscriptions. I don't think they're protecting sources in this instance, I think they're connecting some dots to fit the business model. I've been reading spurs news for decades so I'm pretty jaded with 'the rumour mill', as they say.
But keep up the good work, you have a logical perspective on these things that I enjoy while I'm doing the dishes :)

His comments are a shot at the Spurs Board and Levy wanting to do things cheap.
Case in point, post CL final Levy did nothing to bolster the team and back Poch in any way...
Yes we didn’t make any signings during that period, but they were building the new stadium. They made the decision to not buy rather than sell our best players during that period. It looks like the wrong decision in hindsight, but at the time I think we’d have been devastated to lose some of that Poch team, don’t you?

Are we sleeping on Biss? We were putting him in the same conversation as prime Dembele a couple of months ago. He obviously has the raw talent. Not saying we should pray he doesn't turn out to be an Ndombele and shouldn't be looking for a 6, but I feel we've just binned him without giving another look in. It's obviously not an attitude problem with him; more a confidence issue after getting 5 yellows in quick succession.
I think Biss will benefit when we have better forwards to sustain attacks. He also needs better CM’s in the squad who play that 6 role to push him to play his best every single game. Who would you bring in to push him?
I never put him in the conversation of prime Dembele, but that's because I don't severely underrate Dembele. Even Biss' best at the beginning of the season isn't remotely on that level. I think Dembele was better than Kane and only Bale is higher on my list on best players I've personally seen play for Spurs. Bissouma has a long way to go for that
I know that wasn't primarily the point of your comment. I just don't like that Dembele doesn't get the flowers he truly deserves in my mind

Isak and Kule are best mates and have been room mates with the national team ever since they began being called up. I always thought they would play together.. then get Gyokeres and you probably have one of the best national attcking formations in years to come here in Europe. But im an Eze fan as well. Jimenez? I have to say that Toney is better than Jimenez. easily!

Think they’re after versatility all over the pitch. Reckon they’ll go for a proper 9 if they get acceptable money for Richy. If not I think they’ll stick with him and Son as options and get another left sided forward. Think that could work well if it’s the case?
@@barnabyslater_ I don’t think Richie can stay healthy enough for the entire season to give us a contribution that we will need to go the distance in both Europe, the premier league and domestic cups. I think we definitely need somebody who is better at hold up play and distribution. Personally, I like the possibility of Ivan Tony, Dominic Solanki, or Santiago Jimenez. In about that order… I also think that DK did fairly well for us in that role and is better suited to hold up play than Richie or Son are. I think as a third possible number 9, DK is a versatile player that he could help us out there.
There will be lots of non stories! Until I hear “here we go” it’s all bullcrap.
