Brother Ali is one of the best emcees to ever rock the mic. He's a really cool, humble guy too. Also, this song is paying homage to Nina Simone and her 1964 song "Mississippi Goddamn". As the video fades out you can see Brother Ali wearing a Nina Simone shirt.
