I watched it this last Sunday and have been consuming plant based meals all week. I’ve never been one to crave meat that often. I hardly ever enjoyed sitting down and eating a steak. That being said I agree with you that it’s more about thinking about what you are eating. I’m an "athlete" as far as running half marathons and bodybuilding. The American diet is a problem something needs to change.
Fantastic movie/doco and well presented using known faces with catchy music. In the end though it was to make a solid point of the distinct differences of eating a plant based diet to an animal diet. I thoroughly recommend it. I'm paying the tickets for most of my family to watch it for educational purposes. I also resonated with the athletes as I was one in the past and was vegan during that stage of my life. I'm back though. Happy eating you all and cheers Vince for the review. Rod
Hey Rod! Glad to hear you liked the video and shared it with all of your family members as well. I definitely see this documentary resonating with athletes since it can impact their performance in such a positive way.
I've been waiting for the release for YEARS, but couldn't attend the premiere because of a scheduling conflict. However, there was LOTS of positive discussion about the film at my latest plant-based whole-food potluck/meeting this month. Many of the members are MDs and they thoroughly enjoyed it! Can't wait to see it soon!
Yes Vince, I would love to see a video from you on men on a plant-based diet and how it affects male "performance"/erectile function. I'm familiar with the evidenced based work of cardiologists reversing heart disease and opening up narrowed arteries with a plant based diet (Esselstyn, C.), so I would imagine it would also help circulation & blood flow to the rest of of body! I'd love to see & hear your ideas on the subject.
Hi Jillianvanliew! Thank you for the feedback. I agree that there is a lot of evidence abut heart disease. I think talking about male performance is something missing that would benefit a lot of people. I'll add it to the calendar as a video topic. Thanks!
I'm looking forward to seeing this on Netflix. It didn't stay in theaters that long. The day I was going to drive into LA it was gone. Proud to be a vegan athlete - runner & cyclistThanks for the review Vince.
Thanks Gary! Glad you enjoyed the review and I appreciate the feedback as well. I'll put that on the calendar as a video topic. I think it can help a lot of people.
I was lucky enough to attend the screening when it came out (bought my tickets in advance; was lucky as it was almost sold out when I bought them). Also pre-ordered my copy for iTunes.
Hi Deven! It will be available on Netflix starting on October 16th. You can find it now on iTunes, Google Play, Vimeo, RUclips and Vudu. Hope you enjoy it!
I loved the movie, but I can't figure out why they only let it show for one night. It is the only documentory that does that. You think the makers of the movie would want more peopke to go to the theaters to see it before puting it out on a video, or the Internet.Strange!
Hi Mairzee! Glad to hear that you enjoyed the movie as well. That one night was just for the premiere. It will be available on Netflix starting on October 16th. You can find it now on iTunes, Google Play, Vimeo, RUclips and Vudu.
We went to the premiere also, and I wonder how widespread this will actually get because it's only going to be available to rent or purchase from here on in
Hi Johanna! I think it will do well since that seems to be the case for most of the documentaries I've seen. It will be available on Netflix starting on October 16th, so that will reach a lot of people.
Hey what's up Vince!👋🏽😊 I'll say that I'm so happy a film like this came out. Yes, there are many but from what it sounds like is more approachable for non vegans to see and can't wait to see it myself. I'm the same as you as not liking the in your face & judgemental approach & glad to see that it is done that way & at least shows that in the documentary. Haven't talked to you in sometime so hope all's well buddy!😊
Hey Norma! Yes, this video is definitely non-judgemnetal and is very approachable. I think it will will resonate for people of any age and activity level. I'll be seeing you soon!
