Looks like we have very similar taste. I'd recommend trying Xia: Legends of a Drift System solo. I just discovered that game a few months ago. It is amazing solo!
Congratulations on your approach to 1000. Almost there! Great list. I love how you put the name of the game on screen throughout so it's nice and clear which game you're talking about. Your list looks really different from ours but I quite like it. Keep up the energetic delivery.
Thanks for the video great list. Im a solo gamer and love Legendary Marvel too I switch between Advanced solo from Dark City and 2 handed, I didnt enjoy the golden solo rules. Here is my current top 10 just done a pub meeple ranking lol. 1 Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game 2 Eldritch Horror 3 Mage Knight: Ultimate Edition 4 Millennium Blades 5 Ghost Stories 6 Terraforming Mars 7 Shadowrun Crossfire: Prime Runner Edition 8 Burgle Bros. 9 Face to the Mat 10 Hostage Negotiator I have recently bought One deck dungeon not got round to playing yet. Race for the galaxy Robinson Crusoe Elder sign dont make my top 10. But in my top 20, I havent played or own any of the others.
Hey there, some great games on your list there! I too love Eldritch Horror. I own Mage Knight but haven't opened it yet. And Ghost Stories is definitely on my wishlist. Thank you so much for watching!
@@whenharrymetboardgames7 Keep up the good work, just finished Lilys top 25 was interesting will move on to your top 50. I will add I have every none Villains and screen cap expansion for Legendary, Also all 8 expansions for Eldritch horror, Ultimate edition Mage Knight. Only not got Turmoil for Terraforming Mars and everything but Career for Hostage negotiator and this as huge baring on these games being so high. Millenium Blades needs Set Rotation to play solo or co op its a competitive game otherwise. My next purchase will hopefully be Cloudspire by Chip theory games. oh finally Ghost stories is amazing it is the most difficult game ive ever played though along with Robinson Crusoe.
We both love Robinson Crusoe and I in general enjoy tough coop/solo games so i am very intrigued by the difficulty of Ghost Stories. Thanks for checking out our other content and showing the channel some lovr. Also stay tuned as some time early nexr year I will be recording my updated top 100 and Lily will be doing her top 50!
Robinson Crusoe is one of those rare games that I enjoy about as much solo as with friends. Love, love, love that game. And I love playing Legendary solo too, but I prefer the Legendary Encounters: Alien game. So fun. My go-to solo game this past year, though, has been Nemo's War. That one is purely a solo game. Yeah, there is technically a co-op variant, but it was made as a solo game. V-Commandos is another fun one that is purely solo.
Hey Kabuki, yeah I have heard people bring up Nemo's war as their favorite solo game. I am gonna have to look more into it. I think Legendary Encounters is great but I just prefer the Marvel Theme. Thanks for watching!
In the most distant reaches of the world, magic still exists, embodied by spirits of the land, of the sky, and of every natural thing. Here is the newly found board game, "Lagim Card Game" - a collectible card game based on the Philippines's folklore and mythology. Know more about the battle mechanics
I have developed a unique game mechanic back in the 80s and 90s. It still hasn't been taken. Its unique and was beta tested back in the day. Its a WWF wrestling game. Paperback. But perfectly timed. Perfectly fun and easy to play. I still have my mockups pages and wrestler. I haven't found the time or know how or money to patent and or sell it. I have always said it woulda been the biggest hit back then. Seeing as how retro games kinda making an inroad still I think this would be an absolute smash. I only think I would need partners to make this fly.
Ahaha when my wife bought me some surprise games she specifically chose ones with a solo player option so that she wouldn’t have to play when I wanted to 🤣
🤣🤣🤣oh man that is cruel and yet at the same time so nice of her. Yeah a couple years ago I thought playing solo was so weird and nowadays its makes up like 50% of my gaming. Best part is when I schedule a solo game night, I do not have to worry about anyone canceling on me🤣. Thanks for watching Aaron!
Haha your thumbnail. I don't get solo games... Actually I do, because sometimes when I bought a game I would play a mock game on my own because I was excited and people werent available to play yet. It was fun. I have also practiced some strategies. So mentally I'm like I would rather play with people, but for sure playing solo can be fun. Best games to play solo would be puzzle games like Soduko or Rubrick's cube. But if I want to play a board game, I play it against the computer.
I didn't get solo games a few years ago but I love them now. I play games that are designed with a solo mode I do not pretend to play against myself. Its very much like playing a video game. The really good solo games are capable of creating a similar feel to those video games where you feel immersed and challenged. I still prefer to play with others for the social interaction and small talk but when I am on my own I really enjoy a good solo play. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing. Some great games on your list. I enjoy Tiny Epic Galaxies: Blast Off! a lot solo. Also, enjoy Marvel: LCG a lot solo or with a friend. As you probably know, it is similar to LotR:LCG.
Awrsome! Yes I have heard of the similiarities and know that Nate French is a designer for both games. That and the fact I love Marvel leads me to conclude that I would enjoy it! Thank you so much for watching!
URTHEMAN! Im saying this just when you started (14:41) TINY EPIC GALAXIES. So far the only one I have on your list. This game PLAYS AWESOME SOLO-not only as a 1-player, BUT play it solo with 3 Factions! (maybe 4). Just remember whos' turn it is, and whos' ~following~..:-)
Hey there Marty, this game never collects dust in our house. It gets played like 30x a year. You should try it solo either with the official solo variant or the fan made variants on bgg. Thanks for watching!
Marvel Legendary has no competitive mode. And Legendary encounters, or Legendary James Bond (wich is a quasi Legendary encounters)are far better. But anyway, Marvel Legendary is a beast, and if you like Marvel and deckbuildings, it's a no brainer!
Weird solo list ,i had to go twice and check when was this video published, it looks like a lost of games from 2010.. i don't know but cant really take it seriously without best solo game of all time Mage Knight ,followed by Spirit Island ,Friday ,Aeon's End , Gloomhaven, Terraforming Mars , Hexplore it , Nemo's War , Unbroken , Lost Expedition etc..
Hey there, my channel does so happen to focus on older board games (its in the about page). But hey, if every top solo game list included the same games that would be predictable and life would be boring. Even so, I appreciate your feedback and thank you for taking the time to watch!
“I can’t really take it seriously”? I’ll assume you are joking, and that you allow people to have different opinions About board games without laughing at them for their failure to have taste as exquisite as yours. 🙄
