+Jacob Jarrett (JacobJayCraft) I appreciate the sentiment, and it's not over yet. I fully intend to return to this project before the summer. Thing is, I have a life and no one is paying me to make these...
Seamus Lochgius Yeah i understand, its a problem that most poopers face, because pooping is a hobby, not a job. well im glad to see it being continued anyhow, cheers.
Please never stop doing these, they never stop being hilarious! Some YTP's tend to just be silly loud noises and obnoxious editing, however your video's are done in such a way that the running jokes such as 'cup of pee' always are presented in such a way that makes it funny every time. i r8 dis 12/2
bogspoon Thank you kindly. This started as a one-off project precisely because most YTPs feature random shouts, ear rape and tiresome video. Running a video clip back and forth is intrinsically funny for about a couple of seconds; it's a tool, not content. Then I came across this: ruclips.net/video/NeKbzxLlEE4/видео.html and was inspired to try to work out a YTP with an actual story.
Seamus Lochgius haha funnily-enough that was the video that got me onto watching your patman post video's. Was a long a long time sub of Dathings1 and when i saw similar video's in the suggest tab - i had to check them out. so glad i did!
Pah! Who needs brakes, when you've got walls? Marvellous work on these videos. It's rare to see consistent (and entertaining) storytelling on rearrangements like this! Good work on the sounds, too :)
Best quotes: 'I bent Ms Hubbard. And someone's lunch was parked at greendale farm.' 'Sorry Ted! Can't stop! No brakes!' 'Hello Sam. More flowers?' Lmao XD
MKtheinstrumentalist Well, it was a dead giveaway that something different was coming, given that the Cup of Pee was served by Mrs Pottage and not by Mrs Thompson.
This video is already brilliant, but it becomes pure magic when you put the subtitles on. I think my favorite part was when it showed Julian Skeirr-Creaugh dead in Mrs. Thompson's garden, with the captions labeling him as "That bro."
MrVogel115 The difficulty with this one was that making "CSI: Greendale" meant that someone had to die. It obviously could not be one of the regulars, and there are no random guest characters in Postman Pat (and yes, I considered and discarded "OMG, they've killed Ted! -- You bastards!"). Using the scarecrow presented itself as the obvious solution.
***** Thank you for the suggestion. I only regret that with the tools at my disposal it would have been hideously laborious to merge bits from the two series in animation, and I am not really happy with the image of Gromit in the mud, but I wanted to get this out before the pre-Christmas panic.
+S0lidSpy24 I enjoy mixing universes like this, but I soon realised that it would not be sustainable for Gromit to be the culprit -- after all, what conceivable motive would he have had to kill Mr. Skeirr-Creaugh? Hence the back-pedalling with Gromit being exonerated at the end of this episode. (To find out who the murderer actually was, see YTP: Patman Post re-investigates.)
Ben B He was obviously not frightened to death, given the amount of blood visible; but if he had been, the line might have been: "Looks like the scare-crow scare-croaked."
***** No, it's just filler text. I thought the text would not be legible at that size. Look up "lorem ipsum" in Wikipedia and you will find out what it is.
+Lord Funface The Atomic Toaster It is one of the prefabricated copyright-free jingles that come with Apple's iLife package -- I use GarageBand for music editing. The reason it sounds familiar is that jingles like that are created to sound familiar without actually quoting from any existing (and copyrighted) song.
a) What's the music at those newspaper parts and the sound at 2:58 ? b) What supposed to read under that red stuff (blood?)? c) Who did yell No! at computer part and why? This and Patman Post is diverted are very inspiring.
***** a) It's one of the free demo songs that comes with GarageBand.b) There is no actual underlying text, I just put in words to suggest that some instructions have been obscured by the red stain (which may be blood or the reagent itself), particularly the instruction "CAUTION: NEVER..." c) That was Homer Simpson shouting "NEEERD!", which at least in the Everything Wrong With... series by CinemaSins is always used as a response to someone looking like an utter nerd or doing something nerdy.
Ian Sherman Well, Greendale is supposed to be in Cumbria, so Wigan would only be 60 to 90 minutes away by car, depending on the actual location of Greendale.
I was excited to see a new video. You are brilliant and talented!! And you included Peter Fogg(?) in a cameo. Maybe you honored my last request as not seeing him in last video?!? (does not matter).
negaduck2000 Well, I had decided to blow up the Post Office anyway and then came to the inevitable conclusion that it had to be Peter Fogg that blows it up, even if I could only include him in an edited still image. But I remain confident that both he and Granny Dryden will return.
ZStacksTug Really? I didn't know that. But since it's one of the sound effects that comes free with Apple's iLife package, it would not be surprising if it found its way into an app.
Robert Brahney Recently I have not even had time to keep up with the comments here... but rest assured I will be back at the drawing board (well, back at iMovie) some time in the summer.
michael lancuba Yes, there are a couple of plot holes here. It also passes without comment that the corpse turns up at the gate to Thompson Ground, and of course PC Selby plays no part in the final resolution. Perhaps this is something I need to carry over to the next episode while I figure out an explanation...
Seamus Lochgius Are you going to make Lucy's pony the culprit because of the question in the paper 'Could Gromit really be the greased beast of Greendale'? Very suspicious things happened in this episode.
michael lancuba Well, it certainly wasn't Gromit, as noted in the last issue of the Pencaster Gazette featured in this episode ("Gromit Exonerated"). The Pencaster Gazette is worth pausing for, as it has begun to accumulate all sorts of relevant content. I cannot put it on screen long enough to read it all, because that would disrupt the flow of the narrative (such as it is). Besides the newspaper having established itself as a media outlet with a lightning-quick response time but crappy journalism, its ads have also begun to reflect immediately preceding events.
ahah yeah it was a great feature to add, so what is going to happen with the Post Office now that its going to be renovated will it look the same or whats going on with that?
michael lancuba This is a cartoon universe, so essentially nothing ever changes. So yes, I don't reckon it is a spoiler to say that the Post Office will be rebuilt to look exactly the same as it did before. We are still a long way away from Postman Pat SDS, after all.
As a kid, I would always sing "Patman Post" and laugh my ass off. It's beautiful to hear it mashed together so flawlessly.
The worst thing to do to someone who has just printed out a document is say "This looks wrong" and then leave without elaborating
Pat was soon out in his van trying NOT to deliver the daily post.
I died there.
dj12699 "trying not to deliver the daily post". Such a simple change, such a surreal effect. I swear by the art of the subtle YTP.
Sounds like Canada Post lol
Looking back, This is one of my favorite Ytp series, Its really great!

After all the build-up of the Cup Of Pee gags, I was wondering how you'd trump the last one: I was absolutely floored. Well done! XD

Postman Pat goes Looney Tunes, right ?
because of ACME.
He certainly is "The Man In The Van".
Great to see Chief Inspector Japp as PC Selby ! This calls for a cameo from Poirot !
