I think it's time we report the "game" that is rated 12+ to the relevant interested authorities in our countries, for having an actual auction house and gambling boxes, both only available with a fake currency that 12 year-olds should buy with real world money. The snail has gone too far.
I thought this is what people should have done YEARS ago. Im from australia. This game still has loot boxes. No gaijin- just because you confirm you will "get the vehicle in question" after spending 99ge or 499ge 99 TIMES. Does not mean you should be able to skirt the laws on them.
Us Dutch (and our Belgian friends) are already unable to purchase the Shamble boxes, but I agree, it should become the standard across all nations that regulate online gambling. That and/or an age bump to either 16+ or 18+ for including gambling into the game.
Behold, The Vicious Cycle of War Thunder and Gaijin's Practices Gaijin: *Hello, I need money* The playerbase: *riots* (again) Gaijin: *You weren't supposed to do that* (again) Rinse and repeat
Give them some months and vehicles will appear in the auction tab. Stona and/or other mods will then defend this practice like the paid clowns they are, gaslighting the player base and telling them that it was never mentioned that this auction feature wouldn't come some day for vehicles. The cycle with Gaijin continues as always.
I uninstalled the game because they refused to make any big strides into fixing the overwhelmingly horrible matchmaker. I would totally be willing to come back to the game if they made it so you didn’t have to fight a whole BR above yourself 80% of matches.
Or just play the game and don't support their greedy shit. It's still a good game, just the devs do a lot of annoying things on the side. If they don't make money then it won't be pushed in the future.
10,000 Tanks went for $400 each on the WoT EU server. Gaijin went " We want some of that $$$" How do you boil a frog? slowly. Looks like they are adding this feature and then they will slowly add "must have" items (Tanks and Planes) latter.
This is off topic but I feel the need to spread the word. I just discovered that gayjin sneakily introduced a new mechanic that makes all kinetic rounds almost always ricochet at angles greater than 78 degrees with at least 20 mm of armor. if this increases to 80 degrees its a 100% chance of ricochet. This means that the abrams, hstvl, object906, cv90's, ect all bounce rounds now, I understand that they always have, but now its a much higher probability.
7:51 I’m telling you right now if the BMpT terminator is actually up there I’m going to lose my shit because I really want that and I’m on console and I guarantee you that’s not going to be available to console players
Glad I used your link a little while back in case there's any funny business in retaliation for your integrity. Appreciate your work and I wish you the best.
This is an absolutely greedy thing for Gaijin to do. However I am actually happy that they're trying to add this. Not because I think the auction house is actually good, but because it finally made the playerbase wake up from their stockholm syndrome nap and attempt to revolt against Gaijin(again). I dunno why it needs to take THIS to make people revolt after them barely following either of their roadmaps from the last 2 years after the last revolt but the playerbase seems happy to let Gaijin do whatever it wants unless it's so bad even the most ardent fanboy can't defend it.
I think they said there will be no roadmap this year as it put time constraints on things they couldn't make in time. It may or may not be correct as it was a while ago and i don't remember clearly
If we want a good game as a community, we have to treat Gaijin like viciouse Monsters. Cause thats how they behave, they don`t care about the players at all, we are just a ressource to exploite for them, and they are greedy. I think we should utilize every leverage we have against them, immidiatly. Be it reviews, Thumbs up/down, comments and so on. And if you have enough of them cause, for example, you got banned from the Forums. Just go on, look for something else to play and never look back. War Thunder isn´t worth giving a second chance, Gaijin made sure of that.
I cannot believe someone has already bid 150$ for a profile pic FRAME?! If people are gonna spend 150$ on a square border, how much do you think they would make if they introduced vehicles? And actual unique vehicles?
What makes this even worse it that despite the overwhelmingly negative feedback Gaijin is doubling down on this shit. It's predatory exploitation of the playerbase, pure and simple.
They really should have had the aution house via SL. That would have been fine - kinda. But I always hate aution house concepts in games. It's egregious
People are the same way of greedy and stupid with the prices as with the normal market prices. No idea how people can pay so much money just for one vehicle, with this auction test it is even more crazy.
I haven't touched this game in almost 6 months or so now because gajin is always trying to go back to the greedy bullshit they always do instead of actually making the game better. Even when the community revolts against them they still go right back to just not caring at all about the people that keep the game alive. The game needs to die at this point, the people running this game are scummy as hell. After putting close to 4000 hours into the game, i think this is the that defining action that will keep me away from the game indefinitely.
I disagree that this should be added, but the other huge issue is that half the player base on consoles can't get access to this or the market, and no plan has been made, or effort has been made to figure out a way to allow console players too. I understand it's down to Sony and Microsoft but it would be nice if an alternative market was made for consoles using Golden Eagles as an idea.
@@noobkillaprogamer3204agreed, the only way i can obtain some of the crate skins is by gambing. I just want the RCAF lynx F9F skin and ive spent 350$ on the project x ll boxes and still havent got it. Dont think ill be sending gaijin a single cent after this BS auction house. They literally just find “justifiable” ways to make money.
You'd think with how much money Gaijin scams us of, they'd have enough to upgrade the servers so they don't self implode every other day. Nope. Guess that was all spent on some bloke making an auction
It is definitely a greedy and unnecessary move. If they want content creators to benefit accordingly, they should give them a larger cut of the profit from user skins. As long as Gaijin only auctions cosmetics, I can tolerate this. If you want to whale on cosmetics, that is fine. If this results in the author getting paid more, that is great for them. If Gaijin needs money, selling cosmetics is the best way of monetizing the game. I regularly buy skins of the playermarket and i will continue to do so, especially when it benefits the creators. However, auctioning new or rare vehicles like we have seen recently in a different tank game is where Gaijin goes too far. Especially when it's sought-after vehicles which are rare, very strong, or which players want to get added to the game. I can only hope that Gaijin has learned their lesson and will keep their promise because, if not, the consequences will be much more severe.
I mostly agree, just cosmetics are probably fine if it’s benefiting creators. But we all know that 12 year olds are playing this game with mom’s credit card and having to pay in GJN means you’re locked into the purchase even if you don’t win the bid. Creators are probably benefiting sure, but Gaijin is benefiting a lot more.
Gaijin will auction bids themselves for sure. Like they make tanks for market place out of thin air for sale. It is obvious they manipulate the market place, why would it be different in an auction...
TBH, I bet VDV looked his marketing team and was like, what's more ways we can f our player base? Why not an auction house forget the marketplace, we want the player base to fight for pixels and create a demand that has limited supply, so it's more difficult to get, at this point I'm not surprised by anything that they come up with nor am I hyped for new updates because of the copy pasta.
The problem with the auction house is that it doesn't make sense business wise and consumer wise. They could have easily put these items on the marketplace at a fixed price and at a limitless amount. Rather than letting every player have a chance to buy the skin/item, they limit themselves and the CC's who made the content to only a 100 sales. The auction is just an incredibly convoluted way to make...less money?
They made everything anonymous on the market to hide all the botting which is rampant on the market for a few years. Most content creators (including myself) withdraw their GJC and don't spend it on crazy stuff like this... By the way these items were not created by any players but gaijin themselves so they will be taking all the profit.
Gaijin has 75m players, if 5% buys yearly premium with the 50% off they get 140m$ a year alone for 1 year premium WITH 50% OFF for how many employees again? We Shall support France and French for eating snails bc this is... crazy
i would want gaijin to have the same auction as OLD black market in WOT, you could buy premium tanks with credits/SL and high tier ones, in WOT tier 8 in war thunder it would be like tier 6-7 for max 10 m Credits and those were older premiums or skin tanks, like you would take the tam 2 IP or khalid and put it for auction, and there were, if i remember when it came to wot like 30k tanks (it would be like 1/10 to 1/20 tank/players) when i mean skins i mean u take the tank , add a camo to it and sell it as is (T34 B for example), i used to like WOT but now they got greedy, no more nice Black markets and looks like Gaijin wants to take the same path, might have to go to armored warfare if they add new tanks to the auction like in the most recent WOT auction.
I mean let the goobers use it and just ignore it if you have no intent in using it... as it's experimental if we simply ignore the concept it will disappear.
still don't lile the online Auction house that allows last micro second bidder to snatch the goodies. if they make it a Blind bidder price that would be nice.
Just imagine the prices that could reach auction for 10 E-100 oh boy that would be quite the sight. From experience, Gajin practices turn very fun games into hot garbage for example Cusine Royal or Enlisted. I'm just glad that I don't play any games from Gajin because they gave me only a heartbreak of all things.
