Sure, just change nameservers back to your hosting provider and you are good to go. Clodflare is perfect for shared hosting which I think you already know it's not the best for your site in terms of performance, but for a new site it can be a good start.

Cloudflare work independently from what is on your website in the cloud so it is more efficient, I guess. Never tested deeply, though
