These commentators are ruthless lol leave him alone he’s 17 years old on the verge of defeating one of the greatest in the sport. On top of that the ball colors for the 4 and the 5 practically reversed compared to normal diamond tables.
are they supposed to ignore it? when a quarterback fumbles the ball, the commentators go nuts. when an F1 driver crashes out, the commentators go nuts. do you watch any sports at all?
You did well. Being only 17 years old and able to perform on that stage in front of live cameras is a true triumph Joseph “JT” Tate. There will always be individuals who troll and attack your game and mistakes, but don't let that discourage you since you have your family, fans, and supporters who will be there for you. At 5/2 Tate, Shane breaks and the cue comes up to the template rack and rocks back from the rack and the 9ball allowing Shane probably easier cueing for his next shot. Phil(I think its Phil) is intrigued and will not drop the occurrence. Replays the break over and over. Karl’s reaction is to downplay very obvious cue ball interference saying since the template is giving everyone a tight rack we will overlook it’s shortcomings. I wonder, does everyone feel this way? I have seen this same cue ball interference now dozens of times. I do understand the frustration of racking the balls. The time it sometimes takes to get an acceptable rack of balls. But ; I feel the opposite of Karl, I don’t think it is ever fair to any player to lose due to a faulty, or lack of our ability to find a solution to racking that doesn’t throw a player to the Wolfs(so to speak). I wonder if it was Karl sitting in the chair when that same situation occurred, would he just sit there and accept the unjust roll ? I am sure I could find 1000’s of people who have watched Karl over the years who would say “Hell no” We all know Karl would stand up for himself, and raise hell . Maybe to get a Re rack, or something. He would not allow something so beyond his control to cause him to lose the game or possibly lose the match or possibly to LOSE the tournament. ( just another way of looking at it) A lot of people seem to feel like Karl says he does. I really doubt that they do, if they found themselves in that situation. What is the solution? I do not know. On the Euro Tour, they don’t seem to even use a rack. I’ve not seen it to be a problem. (?) In the past there was the Sardo Tight Rack. Always a good rack. I heard that people said it left indentation in the cloth (?) I do have an idea 💡. We put the balls, 9 ball 10 ball , 8 ball (Not one-pocket nor straight pool) in a basket hanging overhead, then the REF pulls a string and the balls randomly spill onto the table. I think Tate should have rolled forward on the 2 for a shot at the 3 rather than drawing back and trying to get perfect shape by getting closer to the 3 ball.

What would happen in the game of 9 ball if we dispensed with the numbers.Well, everyone in the World would be shooting the balls out of order if they played in a Matchroom Tournament. I believe that in Snooker if someone tried to change the colors, there would be a lawsuit filed for infringement of a trademark or copyright. As in pool like snooker, the colors have been used the same for hundreds of years. Our WPA should be jumping on the perpetrator of the purple five ball. Why are they not? Do you suppose Matchroom has gotten so influential,they now control the WPA? I know Matchroom has been exceptionally good for the game of pool. I feel it's a travesty the colors have changed. All the people that are for it always tell me that it's for the TV makes it easier to see the colors. I say that's a bunch of BS cuz I watch this game everyday on TV and I still can't tell the colors apart when the glare / shadow is just right.
