- There have been a couple of changes with MSC the past week.
1. The way they are handling their taxes and fees
2. Service charge increases
***Please refer to MSC's website for additional information and updates.
Here in the UK several companies are proving all included (taxes & service charges) pricing, examples are P&O Cruises, Marella Cruises (TUI) & MSC Cruises. Other companies pricing will include our sales tax (Value Added Tax) upfront but daily service/gratuities charges are an additional item paid either up front through a package (e.g. Princess Plus/Premier) or during the cruise. This amount is always made clear during the booking process although it's sometimes harder to find that specific information as it's included with a lot of other terms & conditions information. Good luck with the channel.
Thank you so much for watching!! Thank you for the info I appreciate it
All cruise line's are posting the total with taxes and fees. A California law that went into effect is the reason they all did it. I like it as a travel agent because people will say well I saw it cheaper on their site, even after I explain to them that I am including taxes and fees. This definitely helps.
Thank you so much for watching. Travel agents do so much and always provide the best prices and services for their clients so now with all the prices posted like this it’ll make things so much better
I like it. What you see is what you pay. No surprises. Everybody is charging more for service charges though. Should also be included in the total price.
I agree it makes it so much easier for everyone. Thank you for watching
I booked an MSC cruise for 2 from the US. The booking details include a cabin fare and something called "PCH" of $57.94. What is PCH?
I believe PCH is Prestige Cruise Holdings.
@@DPIADVENTURES what would that have to do with MSC?
I found an older MSC booking for a cruise I had taken and this explains what PCH is: PCH - TFP-Taxes,Fees and Port Expenses which brings up another question....I thought the taxes, fees and port expenses are now included in the total price? I guess I will call MSC to see why this extra fee is added.
