Back in the day (early 80's) my cousin has a x19 1500. It was not too quick in a straight line. But round corners nothing could catch it. Very underrated.
Very underrated little cars. Baby Ferraris. FIAT should start building them again They would go faster if they were painted red. "Andiamo di fretta. Forza, a tutto gas!” (We are in a hurry. Come on, full speed ahead!)
Just AWESOME.. Building a Dallara Replica for street use.. I cannot wait to do some of that! No need for Turbo.. The yellow one with the Suzuki?/ Yamaha? engine is just right!
Sooo ... you ran to the garage, grabbed the floor jack, ran back to your X 1/9, raised it up onto jackstands, pulled all of the wheels off, removed the calipers and rotors, pulled the hubs, and ... replaced the wheel bearings, right? Please tell me that you did this.

I had an 1/19 in 1974. my first car, used and the wheel bearings all went out (it had been raced the year before).

Some very quick X1/9s.
Spettacolare!
Sono belle proprio! Grazie.
One of these with a Kawasaki Z1300 engine , that would be epic sounding but it might need a turbo.
