DB11 is a GT car, meant for Grand Touring. Grand Touring is long distance, civilised people buy these cars to do long journeys in. Some people may car, probably not the majority of Pauls audience but some people

Supercars of London Quick question, you are an amazing car youtuber but I've always noticed why do we mostly see u in the slow lane on motorways when u have all that power? Is it just pure coincidence that when u pull out ur camera ur in the slow lane or is there a Pacific reason

Brilliant! Well done and can't wait for the second (fun) half. You've got an amazing channel and I've particularly liked your relationship with AML and all the DB11 related vids you've done. I think it is the most incredible piece of engineering and mechanics as well as being the most strikingly beautiful car I've ever seen...just sucks that I have to wait until May for mine to get over here to the US. I intend lots of GTs where the fuel economy will be a wonderful feature but also plenty of use of the full 600 hp and 516 lb/ft of torque and damn the mpg! Keep up the great work!!

For your next car I think you should get the MY 2017/18 Vantage successor, word on the street says it's going to receive the 585B|HP|S V8 BiTurbo from the AMG GTR and a V12 BiTurbo variant aswell.

FYI turning on the engine wastes as much fuel as about 10 seconds of idling, give or take 3 seconds depending on the engine, so at a red light it may save fuel, but in start stop traffic it will waste more probably.

the proportions of older astons seem to be lost with this one. this car looks as though it was designed to not have a top at all. it looks pretty funny in the thumbnail with this extra thin top but massive body.

Nice video, an Aston and Scotland - two of the finest things. That drive just gets better the further up you go, from Pitlochry particularly (my home town). There's a really nice distillery at the bottom of Pitlochry Main Street - the Blair Athol, worth a visit.
If your still in the Inverness area try the Nairn to grantown road, it's fantastic

For people wondering why MPG matters. Many people like to go on road trips, and also it's something to compete against competitors.
What irritate me is that you have access to all these awesome cars when you're so incredibly clueless...
You might want to consider using a microphone for the in-car shots, those of us with subwoofers just get a huge rumble of road noise coming through which sometimes drowns out your voice.

Give that guy a uniform Paul
to start up an engine during Start/Stop events, it uses about the same fuel as it would burn in 5 seconds at idle. so if you stay stopped for more than 5 to 7 seconds in a traffic jam like the one you encountered, it's worth letting the system do its thing. on the other hand, if you are approaching traffic lights and you see the traffic ahead pulling away, it's better to keep it running.

We have been foolish to think that idiots such as yourself reading this would understand the automotive industry on our level. We have intricate knowledge of cars and vast experience in automotive engineering, I myself am an expert in Superchargers and Bruce is the brains behind many aftermarket wing mirrors.
Going forward I intend to dumb down my explanations but if you feel I am being too advanced feel free to reply and I can discuss on a one to one basis.
For now we appreciate all the support you guys have given and to the haters out there we understand that not all people can be great.

Now having spoken to the engine engineer would you be able to tell me what would use more fuel? A naturally aspirated engine being pushed using all the power available for that particular engine or a downsized turbo engine being pushed within its turbo power band using all its peak power available for that particular engine ????
For example both engines must be relevant for the car it's in e.g. Audi s5 the older 4.2 v8 vs the newer 3.0 v6 turbo

TBH customers who buy these kind of cars, do not think about fuel efficiency as a main factor to purchase the car.
Besides, I think that Porsche 918 has a better fuel efficiency considering the fact that it's a hypercar

Whilst I am all in favour of fuel efficiency in daily drivers and Grand Touring cars, I don't think pottering up the motorway at 59mph as shown here is much of a useful test. I'd rather know what the 'real world' MPG figure and range is when you drive at a more realistic (if slightly illegal) speed. Sadly I'm now at an age where bladder range is more of an issue than fuel range :-(

Start Stop is powered by an electric starter motor so it doesn't use fuel.
Tell Aston Martin to use some of there money,and clean the front if there building,it looks discusseding,green with mould and moss
