Arjen should make an album with Irene Jansen as the lead vocalist. Shame she never had a band, she's just as good as her sister. She really deserve to be something else than just a guest for some diverse projects.
She does deserve all the acknowledgement and love, but she seems really happy as a university lecturer! The touring and/or musician life isn't for everyone. It's lovely that she is willing to share her talent with us on these unique occasions
That ending with Marcela and Irene trading Floor's lines was absolutely amazing, those ladies never disappoint! And yes, I must confess that at first I thought it was Floor. That's what I get for watching this on my phone 😅
It was AMAZING to see this performed live! One of my favourite pieces ever created being played right in front of me!!!!!!! Truly an unforgetable experience
@@harryhirsch2677 Universe his mic was either way too low or the backups was too high. Plus for this set of shows Blind Guardian we’re doing festivals all summer plus an earlier tour. And are now doing Europe and South America
@@Brendo2386 I was there Friday and Saturday. Especially compared to the other singers, he was … different. Also the encore in the 6th extinction was shortened, which is sad, one of my favourite parts :(

They they dropped Fate of Men on us which Brittney absolutely slayed (pun intended), This Human Equation with the ever lovely and angelic voice of Simone and they finished it all off with this one. So yeah, quite an awesome ride.
She's certainly won the people's choice 'award'. INSANE range, but I prefer Marcela Bovio, Anneke, and Simone Wish Brittney used some vibrato to avoid sounding so 'flat'.
I hate you for recording this when they very explicitly asked you not to. I do appreciate it though, as a journalist reviewing the show whose notes for this song mostly read "AAAAHHHHH ASDF FUCK YES AHHHH" 😅

Thanks for the upload. Great sound. Impressions so far: musicianship is solid, as one should expect, no surprises there. The singers - I've been less than impressed by a few, but that's how it is. Anneke is the best here by far. Dunno what I expected from Michael Mills, that part is impossible to sing live. Fully expected Marcela to sing the final part, but having Irene there was a nice surprise (I guess it takes two to match Floor :) Floor, of course, has another live production to take care of at the moment. Great show overall. Doesn't look as epic as the Universe, but who knows, maybe it will on the official release... :)
I think Michael Mills' vocal part doesn't quite work just here on this video because of the difference between the volume of his voice and backing tracks. I think closer to the center of the hall it should sound better and on the official blu-ray it will sound just perfect. As for the rest of the singers, I liked everyone except the guy who replaced Tommy Karevik, it wasn't very good.

I love how, unlike the studio version, Hansi begins singing surprisingly clear and melodic and getting progressively harsher towards the end of the verse. In the studio version he keeps the same level of medium harshness through it all which is cool too, but this is much more dynamic.
Hansi absolutely killed it! I can't remember which song it was, but the one where he led the choir of all singers with a lead line was such an epic moment! I'm so happy Arjen utilises Hansi so much in his music
people are prob going to hate me, but i was there Friday night, First thing Mike Mills says is please do not record the show since Arjen is going to be professionally recording it for people not there.. sigh
So, Mile Mills sitting on the side of the stage and saying "please don't film the show" meant nothing.. i mean, i understand getting a few cheeky stills and maybe 10 seconds of your favourite vocalist, but uploading a 14 minute video to RUclips is well outside the spirit of things.

We were there yesterday afternoon and it was awesome. They also recorded it professionally for a DVD/Blue Ray. 🖤🤘
Really hope they release it digitally again like the last two cause the blue ray could take a while to come out.
