So happy to hear that! That's exactly the reason why I make these videos! Do you know where you want to move to yet? Good luck with the journey and if you have any questions, just let me know!

I'm currently teaching English in South Korea and I will teach in the UK next because of the language barrier here. The experience has been quite a life-changing but also a bit isolating due to the cultural differences. Thanks for all the videos you have made about life in the UK, and for your honesty.

My Wife got a job at the NHS in Southampton. We are coming from Durban and should be moving to the u.k in Jan 2023. I just think its a better life and better future than here. Thing are just not getting any better here in S.A, and the inflation crisis has hit us just as bad. We are excited for this new adventure. Your videos has definitely helped a fellow South African. Thank you , and keep it up.

What an exciting way to start the new year! Glad to hear the videos have helped! I have to admit that I was quite shocked about the prices in South Africa the last time I visited and that was in January, so I'm sure it's gone up even more since then. It will definitely be a very exciting adventure for you guys, best of luck with the move!

I was offered a position at the same trust but due to SA's poor lead time for documentation, that fell through. I was however offered a different post with the South West Ambulance Service and start in February.
My reason for moving is quite similar, I love the life I've built in Cape Town but don't see things improving unfortunately...

Hi Sim, I've been watching your videos for a while now and just wanted to say thank you. They are informative and gives us more insight as to what to expect when making this huge move. We will be moving over from South Africa in 2023 and we are very excited about our future in the UK. Especially for our son, whom this move is ultimately for. A better future for him. Please continue to make videos! Thank you and best wishes. Ann

    It definitely is!
Just moved over from SA and, although I miss it, it was a great decision!
Especially if you are a content creator!

The whole world is in a pretty bad state right now, and I know emigrating is definitely not easy, but would still prefer any country that at the very least has a functioning infrastructure, unlike South Africa.
Something I am currently a tad worried about though is the recognition of South African qualifications in other countries. My NQF7 Bachelor's degree at an accredited private college in South Africa with a minimum of 360 credits seems to be comparable to merely an RQF5 in the UK and an incomplete 3 years HBO in the Netherlands. :-/

I don't know how any South African handles British weather, I was born and brought up in the UK and hate it.

I stopped watching when you mentioned safety as a reason to move to the UK, instantly lost all credibility. Simply a joke

The Schengen visa requirements for South Africans will always be a pain. It's not the UK, it's the power of our passport, unfortunately😟🥲
