    Stavros
    I have a couple of questions. What is the maximum plated weight on each vehicle. What is the price tag approx for each unit. What is the weight of a super single tire on an alloy rim compared to a normal tire on and alloy rim ? Do you lose much weight fitting super singles ?

    The wheel base or pivot point of the truck is shorter and exaggerated by the inclusion of the steer axle at the rear. Lower ride height of the truck would also be linked to air suspension and lowering the center of gravity for the increased pay load capacity. Good bit of gear and we are starting to see them in specialist applications requiring high GVM in Australia.

  • @E233ful

    The experiment result is not suprise at all.
    I think both chassis have the same length(as i saw in the video) and this cause the wheel base of the 10x4*6 shorter than the 8*4. Therefore better turing circle.
    And also the rear-axle steering greatly reduce the turing circle, make the 10x4*6 have more mobility than the 8x4.
    But you need to pay more attention when driving the 10x4*6 as the out swing is much bigger than the 8x4. It will easily cause accident when you do not be aware.

    Hi Stavros. Bit of a tongue twister there, but it’s an 8x4 and 10x4. The 4 stands for the drive axle wheel ends. As mentioned earlier it’s the shorter wheel base and pivot point giving the advantage there.
    A few questions someone can help with. What’s the max axle weight difference on air to steel, and standard wheel to super singles. I understand GVW either on steel or air for the same spec truck would be the same, probably a higher tolerance per axle on air and super singles respectively. What’s the GVW of the 8x4 these days 32000 kgs? What about the 8x10 GVW. The 8x10 set up there probably rides and handles well.
    A great exercise and demo. Nice one Stavros👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇺🇸

      Hp 326 - It’s for a specialist application, it has to steer that well. It never truly goes off-road, and there’s usually some plant machinery about to tow it, if needs be.

    • @p1kkujuha
      @p1kkujuha 4 года назад

      *ahem* Sisu Polar 10x4*6 is most likely the most nimble. 1st 2nd and 5th axles turn, 3rd and 4th pull but in addition you can detach traction to 4th and lift 4th and 5th up while simultaneously applying extra pressure to 2nd axle, basically reducing wheelbase to ridiculously short.
