Raspberry Jam:

Garlic Dill Pickles:
- a few sprigs of dill
- 12 garlic buds
- 2 c. vinegar
- 2 c. water
- 2 T salt
- 3 c. sugar
I forgot to mention in the video, but I tried for years to can pickles and they always came out soft until I added a grape leaf to each jar! It made ALL the difference and we now have nice crunchy pickles!
Stuff dill, pickles, and garlic into jar. Boil vinegar, water, salt, and sugar. Pour brine over pickles abd top with grape vine leaf. To can I just put the jars into the oven at 225 for 25 mins.

A rotary beater is a hand-held, manual beater. My mother had one that she used to beat eggs or make whipped topping. There is a stable handle at the top to hold, and a movable handle on the side that you turn around and around to make the beaters rotate.
