Didn't Stormy already going to court for The hush money and loose
I'm guessing a few nights in a prison cell will make him a bit more cautious about what he says concerning court matters
an actual gag
Seems like gah order should go on both ways. .
Quick fyi: Yesterdays video was unwatchable for those who are hearin impaired like myself. Every time Japanese was spoken it blocked the embedded captions with youtubes captions sayin, unnecessarily, "Person speaking foreign language" and similar
That makes a vid less watchable bcuz now i either have to turn captions on and off every time it switches to showin clips of the anime, or i just have no idea whats bein said bcuz my captions block the captions that wud give me that info... As someone felt i rly needed to know that they were spkin a foreign language, but not WHAT they were sayin
Prof captioners are usually trained Not to do this stuff, but abled folk who dont know any better are the exact type to caption stuff like this and think theyre bein helpful 9,9
Its not helpful, it makes the vids unwatchable; pls fix this so i can enjoy your vids
Still waiting for consequences to be handed down to him... Adding to his ever growing negative balance is not justice.
100% Agreed.
Yep!
Literally any other person would have been found in contempt of court and tossed in the bin
I don't think they ever will, at least not from any state/federal authority. If he can be tried it'll set a precedent for other powerful people in the future, they're happy letting one lunatic go so they'll never be held accountable.
Hey, I'm sure 1000 bucks penalty will shame him into silence.
How he hasn't been locked up for contempt of court is beyond me.
Because since the middle of the 19th century the USA has been a plutocracy. Maybe when it becomes a democracy things will be different.
Because the judges are scared to do anything. Trump considers himself above the law, and so long as his supports villify anyone who goes against him, he's right.
He's an elite, that's why.
*JUDGES for all of Trump's court proceedings:*
_"I'm only going to warn you one... one million times more, Mr. Trump."_ ⚖️🤡
Martyrdom. If they send Trump to jail for something that isn't as objectively damning (such as contempt of court, compared to insurrection), they're afraid it will radicalize his fanbase into violent action. Thus they will let all those things slide as long as they can pin the evidence-laden objective crimes onto him.
Not sure it's the right way to go about handling him, but it's not a pretty choice either way.
It is so wild to me that for all of Trump's cases, the prosecution literally has to write a thesis for things as minor as "please don't allow this guy to endanger people's lives" and all Trump does in response is say "lol no check my socials and get doxxed nerd" and then we watch the most absurd false equivalency in history play out as the legal system weighs the two "arguments."
It's like if me and my brother were trying to convince our parents that the other one was the one who ate cookies when we weren't supposed to... and I brought receipts, photos, video recordings, audio recordings, a literally forensic analyst, text messages, social media posts and more... meanwhile my brother just argues "lol nah it wasn't me it was you"... and our parents deliberate over who did it for weeks after the fact.
While he has cookie crumbs all over the face and is still licking his chops, and also calling your parents dumbasses and scratching their car with his key while he says it.
@@jessiehogue. Hahahaha exactly.
God even this hypothetical makes me hate those imagined parents (and the brother) so much.
@@NikosZaidGomez If I brought out some laughter, my work here is done. :P
Mhmmm you read too much into it, you see the reason people are bothered by the Gag order is because when it comes to criminal charges it's basically you vs the US government with all of their money and powers and so the 1st amendment is literally the only way you can protect yourself against possible government corruption. Imagine you were put on trial for reckless driving/negligent homicide because you were involved in a car crash where a person was killed as a result of you loosing control of your vehicle. You go to court ready to make your case that it wasn't your fault as there was oil slick on the road and it was raining which caused you to loose control but you find out that the Judge presiding over the case has a nephew that was friends with the person you killed and that the person that died was a relation to one of the prosecutor's work collogues and that the judge and prosecutor know each other fairly well. You try to get the judge to recuse himself but he's like ''naw I'm not biased at all in this case'' so you try and speak out about the corruption only the judge says ''naw, gag order because reasons''.
Many courts have stated that gag orders should only be issued in cases to protect another's individual rights and that it should be subjected to a balancing test ie (Is this persons right to free speech greater/more important than the persons right he is violating by speaking) and that the gag order should be as narrowly tailored as possible. This gag order is a direct contradiction to those prior rulings, this is a general gag order and has been issued without anyone showing cause for the ruling to be issued in the first place, nobody has presented a case to a judge saying ''well because trump said XXX so person's XXX rights were violated (With a quote as to which amendment was violated and an explanation as to what way it was violated)'' Instead the prosecution just said ''gag him because he's speaking out against witnesses and it's scaring them because other people who aren't trump are making threats'' and the Judge just said ''Ok''.
We have laws against threatening people so just go after whoever is making threats, you can't hold what one person says accountable for the actions of everyone who heard him speak but apparently that's what's happening and now we have a situation where witnesses in the case are allowed to speak out against Trump on the media and Trump isn't allowed to respond to those allegations or defend himself in public which in a trial would taint the jury pool to be more anti trump since all they've heard are negative things about trump because he hasn't been allowed to speak out and defend himself.
This is textbook "obstruction of justice."
I have been a criminal defense attorney for over thirty years, and if one of my clients had said or posted obvious threats to witnesses, prosecutors, jurors, court staff and judges they would be in custody so fast it would make their head spin. But they all tiptoe around this bully and let him continue to behave like a toddler. Then I have to go explain to my clients why he can and they can't...
Yeah wtf is going on here. How is able to threaten judges family? Isn’t it at least defamation for false info on judges daughter?
Yes, I wonder if it is to do with the fact that he appointed them and has dirt on them so they are treating him with kid gloves. I just presume everyone that supports him has got skeletons he knows about ( apart from MTG she is just nuts!)
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
But he didn’t….
I think "Normal people don't behave this way" is the best line summing up this whole situation
I just don't understand how this isn't obstruction of justice or something. It fits the definition exactly! _(I just read up on it.)_
Billionares runnin' wild! _(40 year old virgin reference.)_
How hasn't Trump been publicly dressed down for these antics, he should be immediately in county jail for contempt of court. If ANYONE else acted like this in court, and I mean anyone they would instantly removed and be spending 30 days in jail until another court date is organised. And the Judge would smugly ask him "if he learned to behave now?". This is setting an outrageously bad example and embarrassing the Court system.
OK, I'm Irish, from Dublin, and I'm following all this drama about Trump. I honestly can't believe how in the world he can get away with this. We once had a Taoiseach (Prime Minister) who was similar to Trump but he was drummed out and disowned once his corrupt dealings (which were not nearly as heinous as what Trump is alleged of as doing) were even hinted at. I wish I was isolated from the consequences of a new Trump presidency but with the Right in the UK drooling for Trump to come back to power, thinking they will get a free pass from the US to do as they please and with them being pretty reckless with the peace on my island, I can only pray that our American friends not bring this madman back at the helm of the US. Remember, what you vote for has repercussions well beyond your borders. Please choose wisely. 🇮🇪❤️🇺🇲
after 9/11 POTUS much more explicitly became an elected king and the legislature and the judiciary are controlled by toadies. Of course if POTUS wants to forgive student debt or improve healthcare the toadies become passive aggressive, but if its a war or insider trading opportunity they love it
Uhhhh sorry mate we’re looking 50-50. Its the race to the finish of two geezers.
Well said my friend
Unfortunately, the reality is that a lot of these people grew up watching Fox and treat everything coming from Fox and Trump as absolute fact without doing any research of their own (or at least not strenuous research, more "research" by listening to podcasts that are simply more of the same and calling it definitive evidence). You also have to remember that a lot of these people, either on purpose or by circumstance, have surrounded themselves with people who are just as committed to Trump as they are. Their conversations around politics view Democrats: bad, Conservatives who don't like Trump: bad, Trump: good. Their social media is full of opinion pieces and memes surrounding the incompetency of literally everyone else that isn't Trump. It's hard to clear your eyes and worldview of that when that's all you see.
Another problem with this cult (and yes, I lump everyone completely and wholly devoted to Trump as a member of his cult) is that the harder you protest and shove facts in their face, the harder they cling to their ideals and close themselves off from literally everyone else because of their supposed "persecution". It's a tough cycle.
I don't understand why anyone can be so bamboozled by him, but that doesn't change the reality. I think they view him like another Teddy Roosevelt, which he is very decidedly NOT EVEN CLOSE. That guy has no moral compass or sense of morality period. If it doesn't serve him and his giant ego, then it doesn't matter to him. That guy will literally destroy democracy before admitting any kind of actual fault or responsibility. It's exhausting.
Y'all got room for a family of seven? (I say mostly jokingly. My husband leans more conservative, even if he thinks Trump is an absolute joke too, so he definitely would never be on board with that *sigh*)
Unfortunately plenty of people support two party politics in the US, and I til that changes we will continue to have shitty presidents both from the left and right, only difference is some people's rights start being taken away when the right wins.
"You just need to properly understand that abusing the judges daughter verbally is just a criticism of the judge not recusing himself." is a *WILD* stance to take for a lawyer. It' not even a coherent argument, let alone one based in law. What the hell do you have to smoke to be a Trump attorney? You make a fool out of yourself and you know you won't be paid...
Something tells me his lawyers are also unhinged narcissists that just enjoy the bullying they get to do that comes along with doing his bidding.
You smoke $100 bills. I thought this was obvious.
It's bizarre. If witness intimidation is a thing, there must be a rule you can't try intimidating the judge right?
Documents generated by chat gpt for sure
@@aceman0000099 LOL if that turned out to be the case, it really would be the cherry on top of all of this. And honestly, after the whole Four Seasons (Landscaping) thing, there's no level of incompetence that I wouldn't believe from Trump's team.
As of the publishing of this video, jury is half picked and trump still hasn't figured out how to close his mouth.
Edit: 6 or 7 jurors as of when written, not quite half.
Edit 2: Apr 18, 12 Jurors selected by end of day. Juror 2 from first group felt intimidated and dropped out.
Actually, he has in the court room. He takes his sleeping meds before stepping into court.

Why should he? He has yet to face any consequences for violating any of these feeble gag orders.
@@tzvikrasner6073
Sleeping meds? Nah, Dozy Don is on drugs to avoid falling asleep.
Apparently Trump had to read or listen to the mean tweets of potential jurors.
How hard can the gag be when, to date, no gag order has been enforced. Sick of him being given constant special treatment, he should already be serving hard time.
At the very least him violating the gag order multiple times should have landed him in jail.
@@joachimschoderthey need to find him in contempt of court for violating the gag order and order him in jail or prison. I think no judge wants to be the one to do it. But for America's safety, they should enforce the law they'd lay down if it was any other human.
@@John-Smith02 Indeed.
Eventually, failing to enforce the law undermines the law. Turmp must not be held above the law.
@@erikscottdebie7665 ah, but that's the issue. If they set the precedent, none of the other powerful people in charge are safe. So no way they'll actually go through with anything substantial. They're perfectly fine with the law being undermined for the rich and powerful -_-
Free speech is NOT "special treatment".
These judges are cowards. Any other citizen would be imprisoned for contempt a thousand times over. Imagine being afraid of Rascal Scooter yokels when you have the entire weight of US Law Enforcement behind you.
He has a hearing no other judge has super powers you can't hold him in contempt with out a hearing on it lol. Its next week lol and its the DA ASKING for fines. You get warnings normally, then a fine then jail time. That is how most courts are run. Next thursday I think it was dump to explain his tweets that violate it and the "some one else did it" don't work it included letting some one else say on his behalf sigh. So yeah 3 counts he is looking out. Judge has the call could be 90 days in jail but that is not how shit works normally you don't get max for first hearing on it. I crossing my fingers for fines and then he spends thursday-monday in jail and judge says "see you in court Monday, do it again and it will double each time."
And lets be real he wants the street cred of a weekend in jail. He be doing speeches from jail phone just like his jan 6 cultists do and trying campaign off it and claim he is just like Mandel some more now he seen jail cell then tell his more radical followers he is just like Hitler in private lol Shit he might even be selling a ghost written short story by June to his cult from his time in jail lol.
It's not (necessarily) fear of country bumpkins, it's more that it creates MORE paperwork, takes MORE time, and we want him to go away immediately, if not sooner.
You are the prime example of why we think the courts abd government is corrupt. You're willing to throw somebody yo7 disagree with in jail, BEFORE his trial, simply because he spoke about something not in his gag order, which other judges have said is borderline unconstitutional.
He wasn't basically told he was gonna railroaded in court and he can't talk about it. They also stopped evidence from being submitted, threw out evidence and fined Trump for even taking a press meeting where he was asked about the court.
That's the problem. They don't have the entire weight of US Law Enforcement behind them. Most cops are Republicans, and most of the Republican party supports Trump 100%.
Trump is being treated so unfairly!
Any other person would have been found in contempt many many times.
A lawyer arguing that their client slandering the judge's daughter is "properly understood" as criticism of the judge's decision not to recuse himself is INSANE
@@Turnipstalk I'm reacting to the validity/soundness of the argument being made, not to the fact that lawyers are willing to debase themselves in an attempt to defend their clients. Also, since you brought it up -- absolutely ZERO chance that any of Trump's lawyers have gotten paid in advance 🤣
@@dancoroian1 I think its a sink or swim situation. If they lose not only do they NOT get paid, but they might even get sactioned. They are playing chicken with the court on who will make the first mistake:P
I honestly hope his legal team faces sanctions for making such a sickening argument.
@@Turnipstalk Uh no lawyer in their right mine wants to work for civilian dump lol. So this only works if they think he will be president and honestly the shit gonna go down from this an other cases coming soon he is gonna need a new jan 6 to be president that works this time lol. And at this point they are past point no return to be his buddy if he is president minus Judge Cannon who might expect him to make him a SCOTUS before he dies once he names himself president for life lol.
That's Trump making the lawyer present his "argument" instead of them actually representing his best interests -- which is why he consistently LOSES.
Just 24 hours. Monetary fines, especially in the amount of $1000 dollars, are completely meaningless to Trump. But charge hin with contempt of court, and have him spend even a single day in custody with no special treatment, I bet that'll make an impression
1000 USD start to hurt if courts double the fine after each violation.
@tokul76 the cap is 1,000 in that state
He'd die...
I say we do it.
@@tokul76 That takes 11 times of dblin to reach even a million dollars; and Trump is still a billionaire
Heck, even just to hit six figures, which still is a drop in the bucket for him, it wud take 8 fines bein levied for him to even reach that pt.
It wud take 20 fines to reach half a billion, which we know from exp is around the pt where Trump starts actually feelin the loss and will fight tooth and nail over it... And even then, an appeals courtll just bring back the kid gloves and drop that half a bill down to only 175m; so Trump doesntvw to feel any real consequence to his actions
Fun fact: In other countries slander or malicious gossip can literally get you behind bars. Always baffeling how much you can abuse 'freedom of speech' in the US to cause harm.
The absolute disgrace of claiming anything about Equality under the law, when ABSOLUTELY NONE OF US WOULD BE WALKING FREE IF WE DID THIS SHIT. ANY of this leading up to ANY court proceeding. Good lord the justice system in this country is a grift.
As a non-american it feels wild to hear the words "Radical Left" and "Joe Biden" in one sentence.
Oh it's nonsense to Americans too. Biden is basically a centrist
Our people have been brainwashed for generations to be afraid of buzzwords like socialism, radical, leftist, and communist, all while not understanding what any of those words mean.
😂
As an American having Biden be left of anything is deeply disturbing.
To be more socially conservitive then Biden is to want the 1870's back. Or earlier.. .
Even as an American that's kinda wild. Joe Biden is not really known for being a radical.
hes never been held accountable in his life, so anyone setting rules on him is driving him more crazy then he normally is
A truer point has never been made
Trump calling anything about this "unfair" is surreal. What a brat.
Is there a pool for how long until the judge is forced to jail him? Because there is no way he can sit there for weeks without doing something to violate the court's orders. If there is one, how much is a spot?
what rules? he breaks them every time and then they just throw in another warning.
Interesting point... allow the orange to self (im|ex)plode. Will be interesting for sure.
Yay, more Liz! I love her combination of clarity, intelligence, knowledge, wit, and sass.
Too bad the subject of this is just infuriating. He should be disgraced, jailed, and not allowed to run anything anymore. Yet here we are, because he's somehow immune from the law and he knows it. He's a prime case study in how the justice system in the US (and let's be real: not just there) is flawed, corrupted, and broken.
No normal person could get away with this. Insane how much special treatment he gets in EVERY aspect of his life.
It's so infuriating how nothing happens. Why the f won't they DO SOMETHING.
Because they want to rise above all appearance of impropriety, and he knows that. So he accuses them of it anyways. This way he gets most velvet treatment possible.
If they had dealt decisively with him from the outset, he would not be employing all these theatrics.
Trying to do everything possible to make sure any appeals are not granted. Be patient. Justice will prevail!
Until it is proven otherwise, it is because he is a first class citizen. If you want something done, then get your citizenship upgraded or make a new system.
Because there is indeed a two tiered justice system, just Trump is one of the benefactors of the higher tier.
I feel also making inflammatory remarks is additional evidence to use in his convictions.
How can I trust a legal system that can’t manage such clear violations and abuses? I just have no faith in our system to uphold its own rules.
They’ve always been there, I think many of us are just learning about them now because of how public and reported on these things are now
100%. The law only works if you are poor, or if you fell out of the powerful.
The legal system is working as designed...ie a two tiered system that has one set of rules for wealthy elite and another set of rules for the unwashed plebs. This is by design as laws are primarily designed to control the poors.
Look, just because they haven’t upheld the rules for the last 42,690 times going back 50 years doesn’t mean they won’t uphold the 42,691st infraction.
@@hugegamer5988 THERE IS HOPE!!
A 1000 dollar fine is not a punishment for an individual like trump or really any millionaire.
In finland they have a system in place where fines are based on something called a "day income". Essentially what you do is calculate how much money the fined individual is making per day and then the fine is not "X amount of money" but "X day incomes". This ensures that a fine does hurt no matter how wealthy an individual is while also ensuring that the fine does not financially ruin the individual no matter how poor the individual is. This has among other things resulted in one of the highest speeding ticket ever issued (121.000€) for a millionaire driving 30kmh over the speedlimit.
With the way Trump fiddles his taxes, he would claim an income of $30,000. His friends in the Tax hierarchy would probably do their trick of assigning just one clerk to examine his claim, and untangling the spaghetti of shell companies and shuffled funds will take years even with the help of the business fraud case files ...
He's arguably not a millionaire anymore at least. He's DROWNING in debt.
The problem is Trump doesn't have any income.
"equal treatment of criminal defendants" they say, while giving him preferential treatment to no end. Goes to show how weighted the entire system is to people who appear rich enough.
How can he name jurors and threaten them, leading to his mob sending them death threats too, and not be in jail for that?
Lesson learned: If you want to do crimes, run for president.
On the _Republican_ ticket, mind you.
He'll never see consequences. Imagine if you or I violated a gag order? We'd be in jail.
They could get rid of this disparity in the criminal justice system, by abolishing gag orders entirely.
@@ninetales1234No way. That would endanger every person involved in the case that has one. Freedom of speech only goes so far.

There's no way he would go to that graduation even if he wasn't on trial. It would be hilarious if the judge let him go, and then he didn't. Because of course he wouldn't.
Apparently he never attended any of his other kids graduation anyway. Making a song and dance about Barron's graduation is just another game.
Literally this case is about him ditching his pregnant wife to pay a porn star for sex, he 100% doesn't care about his family.
Bold of you to assume he was invited to the graduation. Maybe Barron would like something to be about him for once. I cannot imagine the amount of abuse that kid took from his classmates over sharing DNA with the Cheeto.
For certain people, lies, insults, threats, and stupidity are - per their own argument - just standard political speech.
I really think that tells you exactly what you need to know about those people.
In a functioning justice system, actively attacking and endangering lives of people en-masse such as this, and the attorneys defending this behaviour, would've seen them all thrown in an oubliette by now.
16:04 How could they even _consider_ giving Trump access to the jury members' names?!?
Constitutional rights. Which everyone should have, until they've proven that they'll use those rights to hurt people. Which trump has. The fact he hasn't been jailed for his incitement of violence against the justice system is a travesty IMO.
For normal people, that's a routine part of the trial process; the whole defense team gets access and there's no particular reason to exclude the defendant. But Trump's not normal. That's pretty much the problem.
"If you're going to attack the judge's daughter"...should be followed with "Good luck finding an attorney cuz no good lawyer would take you as a client."
You think he has good lawyers? 🤣
You know that his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, was a bottom of the barrel one, right? Cohen got wealthy laundering money for the Russian mob through a taxi business. Since laundering money has been the Trump family business since his father's day, that's how Cohen ended up working for Donald as his legal "fixer".

If the judges had truly acted accordingly to the LAW and sanctioned the lawyers working for him, with real sanctions, then the lawyers would be removed, and possibly lose their law licenses, from all of the lying and nefarious BS that they have been conducting, while representing him. Which so, so many have for way, way, way less, than this BS. He wouldn’t be able to find Any other attorneys to represent him. Which IS the only way to make and remove this shite from happening. Every day that goes by without this obvious mobster being behind bars is a spit in the face of justice.
Between Trump and the corrupt supreme court, Congressmen ignoring subpoenas and Ginny Thomas and her Jan 6th gang, Justice looks like it's been taking the flume down splash mountain.
Al capone was an obvious mobster. Trump is an obvious wannabe tyrant. His cronies are far too inconsistent and wavering to insinuate anything like mob loyalty.
You spelled "monster" wrong.
@@johnladuke6475 porque no los dos?
I feel like “mobster” gives him too much credit.
You would think one of these judge's would cite him in Contempt of Court already and be done with it. If he's going to keep breaking court orders and not being held accountable he's going to keep doing it.
If Trump is indeed trying to test how far he can go before he finally goes to jail. I say times up. LOCK HIM UP.
I love Liz Dye. Law and Chaos is a fantastic podcast. Thanks for having her on again!

I guess some old ways really were better
Or maybe his thumbs, in this case. :P

End this crap already, it's dragged on for long enough.
Nah they would got warning fine, then jail. He has his first hearing for breaking it he could get all 3 from three counts the DA is asking for fines and promise he does it a 4th its jail its all up to the judge though. But he does 90 days jail that is max it will make his appeal on grounds the "judge was meanie head!" easier though. Normal people get a warning, a fine, then jail time just FYI
The double standard sucks, but the fact is that there is good reason to tread carefully with an ex-president running for office. These criminal prosecutions against a former president are unprecedented.
No, it shouldn’t matter in an ideal world. But it does matter. M
@MarcosElMalo2 the thing is, it DOESN'T matter except how much the politicos are making it matter. If it was a matter of law, he would already be facing a firing squad, but they are instead pushing it as politics.
@@tristanmitchell1242 I mean... considering what Trumpsters are capable of, a civil war as a result of what THEY perceive as unfair treatment is not entirely off the table. Is that fair? Not at all. Is it wise to tread carefully? Maybe. The problem is walking the line and I get that. He has to pay for his crimes - but that should also not make him even more powerful.
No president ever gets jail time for their horrible actions, worst they get is getting impeached (Trump has been impeached TWICE!)
Liz Dye is killing it out here. Would love to see more of her.
Trump types is why witness protection was invented.
The judge should consider holding Trump's lawyers personally responsible for Trump's conduct. They theoretically know what proper behaviour in a court is. Just tell them, "control your client, or face sanctions." Instead of fining Trump, fine the lawyers and let them try and collect the money from Trump. He might be left with a public defender.
They would instantly throw their client. It would just delay the trial.
Humm. Mabey the lawyers angle is that Trump is running all of this. So when he crashes and burns they won't get sanctioned. I mean if they say "they cannot control their client" the judge is going to ask "why", how the hell do you answer that.
@@MetallicReg At this point they can't quit or be fired with otu the judge's permission lol. That is how it works once a trial starts they won't let him out that easy, they have to get sick or die for them to delay the trial. And honestly once these are over I think most his lawyers will be disbarred just no one is gonna do it till the cases are done because its an excuse to delay lol.
Oh yeah, it’s okay for poor nobodies to go without legal representation, but not rich celebrities.
Seems kind of mean to the public defender.
I think if Trump
Threatens the jurors he should have to pay for all of their personal security.
Liz is great. The most enjoyable guest spot you have had. Look frward to hearing more from her.
Lmao, several claims of "Presidential Immunity" What an absolute clown, he already has the face paint on just get him the big red nose.
If anyone else did these things they would be held in contempt and jailed, the fact that he isn't held accountable in any "real" way goes against everything the American justice system is supposed to stand for.
Until he faces real consequences he isn't going to stop because he's had exactly zero reason to stop. It's putting a spotlight on how much special treatment he's getting. It turns out if you're rich an influential, they absolutely WILL just let you do it. Fines mean absolutely nothing. All a fine is for people like this is just a fee to conduct business as usual.
It must suck when you have to remind your client that they have the right to remain silent when you know full well your client lacks both the ability or the capacity to do so.
EDIT: I take it back. Apparently his lawyers are supporting and encouraging his behavior. Like attracts like I suppose.
Trump is a man who has pioneered the art of winning by losing. These are gambles, but with no real stakes for him. If the intimidation nets him a win than thats that, but if the intimidation makes him lose harder then its more fuel for his alarmist fire. And in hindsight it shouldn't have been a surprise, hes don't it for years and its his same philosophy for business as well. Its how he claims to be the best business man while filing for bankruptcy and how he can claim with absolute confidence he won an election while begging people to find votes for him. He will always have someone in his corner willing to kill for him... and boy do I wish that was just a figure of speech...
Inciting violence is not protected speech.
then why do cops get away with it when they kill you for speeding or jay-walking?
@@KendraEMoyer When did cops "incite violence" by means of SPEECH!?
Did you actually watch the vieo!? Or are you another law-rejecting Trump brainwashee?
Sorry, but I don't connect a police officer's actions to words said. Freedom of Speech isn't the same as Freedom of Action. Actions ALWAYS have consequences (whether good or bad, such as me deciding to eat ice cream for breakfast). Freedom of Speech has legal limitations, but there are wildly different types consequences for what you say, when, where, and how. You could say something that has no consequence (such as saying you love ice cream for breakfast), or you can threaten someone's life at work and thus have your guns taken away, lose your job, and have criminal consequences because you are proving to be a danger to others through words alone.
@@Chihirolee3 Exactly.
Those who focus exclusively on the claim that Trump is simply exercising his freedom of speech are those who attack the messenger in order to avoid and ignore the message.
Trump isn't attacking the evidence; he is attacking the messenger in effort to shout down the message. Attacking the witnesses in effort to shout down their substantiated testimony.
Some don't know the difference; but many Trump defenders adopt the same tactic -- instead of respecting the rights of the persons attacked -- the right not to be targeted by Trump's incitements of violence -- the falsely claim, by implication., that Trump has the right to incite death threats and violence against his critics.
Our system of laws is based on a balancing interests -- Trump's right of free speech is only one interest; the other is the right not to be subjected to verbal abuse and incitements of death threats and violence. To reject that foundation is to reject the rule of law, which is indefensible.
He didn't incite violence

A long time ago I had a very confusing dream, which ended with my old school director imparting the following wisdom upon me: "If you break one rule, you get punished. But if you break every rule, you get a prize." In the dream, this made perfect sense and sounded very wise. Then I woke up and it was just confusing.
I'm still confused by it, but after watching this video I believe Donald Trump probably knows.
it's crazy how these judges barely react, even when he directly riles up a mob against their CHILDREN
I find it rather ironic that he paid someone to keep quiet. Meanwhile he himself cannot do so.
You know it's a bad situation when you have to clarify for the umpteenth time that it's illegal to break the law.
The fact that he has gotten away with all of this and hasn’t received as much as a tap on the wrist when the average person would be SWAT’d for even implying the thing’s he’s flagrantly said is astonishing. It makes me hate the systems that refuse to act as much if not more than the man himself.
It's less that the systems refused to act but more that no lawmaker in history would think someone would be stupid enough to abuse it in this way. The bright side is that we will certainly be seeing new laws and restrictions. It was partially an honor system that will not go away. This is what happens when people cannot be trusted to behave themselves. This is why the answer eventually becomes stricter more involved government whether we like it or not
And all those people who believed him when he said he was going to go after the elites still think he's just a successful entrepreneur. Wilful ignorance is an amazing thing.
Half a billion is a “slap on the wrist”?
That's why the Kremlin has been aiding and abetting him this entire time, it's so we loose faith in our system and fall to infighting and disarray. As discouraging, infuriating and disheartening as it is, I implore you to not loose hope or focus. That is what bigT et al. want more than anything else.
The "System" eliminated the original continental American inhabitants;
The "SYSTEM"almost destroyed Africa by trafficking humans from 1400s to 2024.
The "SYSTEM" of privileged rich families is working its plan to acquire most of the world's wealth for a one percent greedy, ruthless, avaricious and mostly invisible army of rage, money, sex, arms and privilege

We are especially observant of 8th Amendment principle when we are dealing with those whom are internationally known by reason of political office at the national level - people like the Presidents, supreme court justices, etc. that might be said to be household names to those abroad, such as immigrants, etc. whom know a fair reasonable bit about our basic form of government and who happens to be in office. This is because to be taken seriously in the international community a country must reasonably practice what they preach, such that outsiders dont see our American Freedoms to be nothing more a pattent and complete lie.

Yesterday, I read an article on conservatorship in the US and how easy it is for mentally ill people to get stuck in the fiduciary system for years and years after failing to fulfil a responsibility once.
A conservatorship on Trump's socials would seem like the ideal solution. The man has repeatedly shown zero intent of following the law or heeding others. And he physically can't, because his textbook narcissism is being enabled and fed by the whole country.
If he had a guardian appointed, the world could rest. His lawyers could go back to actual lawyering.
