The Cast: Tangerine Bear (Tangie), Monkey (Louie Blue), Jack in the Box (Jack), Mermaid Clock (Loralai), Cookoo Bird, Old Man from store, and his dog (Reggie, nold?). "I gotta get sold, I gotta be bought", "Where can I find my smile?"
I've been there, struggle is real LOL! I was (and kinda still are) obsessed with collecting VHS releases that had different previews on them. For example, I wouldn't just buy one copy of a tape, I would buy mostly all the reprints just to get that different experience. Everyone thought collecting different Star Wars releases were insane, try collecting for VeggieTales (I'm not even kidding)! Seriously, every single release of a 90s episode of VeggieTales has between 5 to almost 10 reprints! Disney is just as bad too tbh!
I'm guessing you don't understand people have passions and hobbies, and are having fun. I'm guessing you are constantly angry or are just one of the most unfun people around all things considered. Your first reaction to someone talking about their passion is make fun of them instead of recognizing what this means fo us. For some of us (me) it's apart of being autistic, something we're born with and can't help. I hope you understand that some people unlike yourself apparently, have things in our lives that we do for fun and are distractions from how dark the world is, and things like this make us happy.
Ye, i bought it as a joke because the actual cars vhs is so rare, fun fact about it! USPS literally bent the tape in half, one of the little rollers is floating around in it now, not that I was planning on watching it but I was still upset 🤣
If owning that many is a problem, my 6,323(7,636 with duplicates)would be a nightmare. 😂 Keep on going and let's keep it alive! Duplicates are welcome here. You never know and they're so cheap now(5 for $1 at my spot) that it doesn't really matter if you get duplicates. It's all just part of the VHS collecting game. You'll eventually be glad you have those duplicates. They can be bargaining chips in VHS forums. 🤷♂️ P.S. If you haven't already, you should get a digitizer and a cheap 2-6 TB SSD and start backing them all up digitally because of the rate of decay VHS suffers from. There, most likely, won't be any playable VHS by 2100. Unless they've been perfectly stored and never exposed to aornwoth moisture in it. That's why I've recently been getting into 8mm and 16mm films. A bit more expensive but if you're as into it as I am cost is a secondary factor to you. My personal favorites are when I go yard selling and find people selling VHS players and ask of they have any tapes for sale. You'd be surprised how many do but just figured they were worthless. My best haul ever was around 500 for $20 and they were so happy I took them. I upload mine to the Internet Archive(Archive.net) for people to watch. I'll admit Im a few thousand behind because they rip in real time. So, you have to play it in order to capture it on the SSD. That's why when I'm actively doing it I run 5 HDMI VCRs. Believe it or not they exist. They are perfect for ripping the old VHS tapes and when I'm ripping them(usually on weekends. More recently I've been starting 5 before I go to work and do 5 more when I get home) it's still going to take years and years of ripping them to finish. One of my most recent purchases was made online and was for the entire Star Trek collection, The Next Generation, and Deep Space 9, over 500 VHSs total in that. Also, never discriminate when it comes to what you buy if the price is right. They're becoming so hard to find where I live that it doesn't matter to me what I'm getting anymore. I just want to save as many as I can so my grandkids can see what and how I had to watch everything growing up. It already amazes the kids that have been raised with media at their fingertips their whole lives to see how it ised to be done. Anyways, keep up the great work and let's save it for future generations! Also, MAKE A SPREADSHEET ON YOUR PHONE!😂✌️
I just learned about the 6 different Bug's Life covers recently and decided to get them all! So far i have Heimlich and Hopper 😁 How many tapes do you have total?
@@HeyItsKit well yeah I know the cover art part but I mean actually putting the film on tape. I know how to do it but for me since most tapes were in 4:3 I would want to go the extra mile and make a film like 1917 into 4:3
@@AnimationNation2004 easy, you can use VSDC (free) or premier (also free if you know what websites to use) if you have a pc or laptop and find a rip of it online. @@AnimationNation2004 Ah okay perfect! If you don't already know how to record onto the tape, all you gotta do really is get a Hdmi to av adapter and plug your computer into a vcr

I wonder why you have so many doubles of one movie ….. is this just the collector in you……. or are those spares in case anything happens with the tape?
I thought I was cuckoo for having the regular toy story and the collectors edition even though they’re both the same with minor differences, and a music video and behind the scenes. But six versions of bug’s life!? That’s amazing dude! Are there a different box for each release?
Yep, exactly! Every box is a different character on the cover, the last one is every character in a group photo type thing, I was really worried trying to get them all that'd it'd be forever to find them all It took like five thrift store trips in like a week
I usually just look at a picture lol, but yeah I need to do that especially for Disney's since I'm trying to get a full masterpiece collection... well collection

I WISH, I have every Pixar movie BUT Cars. At least all the ones released in America. Ratatouille and Wall e were actually released on vhs in Korea believe it or not! Very very little is known about them, I'd argue they're even rarer than Cars given how I've never even heard of a listing for them.
@@HeyItsKit well, I know that in Korea VHS lasted longer. In fact, I do have a Korean VHS tape of Chicken Little I got for Christmas. (and also the tape is English with Korean subtitles)
@THOMASFAN104 That's awesome! Weird question, is it in widescreen? Some of my Japanese tapes like spirited away are in widescreen, I wonder if that's the same for Korean tapes

Well then get the tangerine bear vhs then I’m feeling quite sad that you don’t have it 🥺🥺🥺
How does one unconsciously accumulate 6 VHS copies of A Bug's Life?
Oh that's intentional, they all have different covers for different characters
@@HeyItsKit ah, that makes sense
Personally, I just want the Dot one. She’s so cute. :3
I don’t even have Bugs Life yet lol
Easy
Just make a google sheets inventory. You'll be able to track your collection quite easily. Can even note the condition.
At first glance I thought I saw an Infinity train VHS LOL
Can you let me borrow 2 Thomas tapes and titanic on widescreen
Only legends will have 19 thomas tapes
I have 4 copies of Peter Pan 😂. Was not intentional, but they do have different covers as well as one have golden trim/writing all over the binding ❤
