Tiffany, if you will make 2 sc in each stitch of the chain of your fringe you will have a very curly fringe - i have made pompoms like this for years - very easy and very cute
Such a cute hat! I am so glad that you and Cyndi collaborated and are now sharing the pattern with us. Hopefully you will also share the "open" version that Cyndi was sharing, I think you called it the mesh hat. I love how the top of the hat uses the chains to make an open, webbed-looking top. I am sure it will be another very fun and cool hat. Thank you again!
This is a beautiful -- yet simple! -- baby hat! I like your ribbed hat for a patterned or fuzzy yarn, and this is my new fav *for nice, solid yarns! I absolutely love the simple "patterned" stitch (AND the crown of the cap itself makes it well-fitting!). Thank you! I just found it!🤭
You are such a sweet Sister! So many compliments . But I am sure that you are as creative as her and more. You have such a great way of teaching and introducing us to new projects and stitches. And for that. I thank you!
I just made this using a lamb and cotton blend #2 fine weight yarn and it came out excellent! I followed your length guidelines (7 inches long (not counting the ch 13 fringe) x 12 inches wide and followed the video instructions all the way through. Thank you! This really is a cute hat! I had a 1.76 oz/50 gram (251 yds/230m) ball of Queensland Collection United yarn (55% lambswool, 45% cotton). I used crochet hook size E. Used up plenty of the 1 ball, but would estimate I could have easy gone another size or two larger.
What an amazing beautiful hat I’m so excited and impressed. 😊 I am new to crocheting I need to just jump in to get started. I’ve watched this video 5 times trying to internalize how to hold the yarn between my fingers and how to select the correct stitch.. 😊😊❤❤
Very cute, Im an old crocheter, always looking for a new or better way to deal with beanies!!!That pom no pom is such a pill nice to see such a fresh look, to me anyway.
I’m looking forward to making one of these for my soon to be granddaughter as well, she will also be here within the next couple weeks. So excited!! Thank you for sharing this. Much love 💕
This is so beautiful. I'm looking forward to make several of these 😉 Thanks a bunch for sharing and inspiring. Congratulations on your blessed grandbaby 😘
Cute hat. I really enjoyed this tutorial and I think I’m going to crochet some of these hats because they are adorable looking. I’m really, really hoping that you will do a tutorial on that pipsqueak yarn Christmas version that you mentioned in this video of red and white. I would definitely love to see that.
I love this hat! I added a pop of color for the holidays! I made more fringe in Thanksgiving colors on the inside that we can take out! I made a white hat with white fringe and put a red interior to it! I wish I could add photos!
PS - For anyone having a hard time with the slip stitch on the tassels, try turning the hook away from you instead of toward you when you pull through the 3 loops.
@@mariannenelson So glad it's helping you! It's the way Jayda In Stitches always turns her hook and it just happens to work brilliantly for this stitch. I made a baby blanket using the HDCSS and never could have gotten through it without this method!
I love the idea of this hat. It would be very useful if you could give a chart/guide showing how many chains for each age group. I'd like to make this for my 8 year old granddaughter but I'm unable to measure her. So how many chains should I start with please?
I saw this on Instagram this morning and looked all over for it. I'm glad you posted it here. I just finished a baby blanket and I have enough yarn left to make this hat. Thank you! It would be nice if you posted a link to your sisters channel.
I chose fuzzy yarn. I found it helpful to mark the first of the five slip stitches on the way up the hat, then switch the marker to the last of the five slip stitches on the way down. Otherwise I kept adding a stitch on each row.
I love your video! You have a great voice and it feels so natural. I am working on a hat for my friend’s new baby. I noticed in your SC stitches you pulled the yarn from underneath. But in the 13 fringe stitches (for the most part) you wrapped the yarn over (with a couple at the end pulling from under). Then the 5 slipped stitches you pulled the yarn from under. Is there a rhyme or reason to the method? I have found pulling it from under (left of hook), versus over (right of hook), it makes a nice tight stitch and makes it easier to pull the 13 slipped stitches through. Will it change the look at all? Thanks for sharing such a cute pattern!
I just completed this tutorial and the beanie came out nice but I don’t like the yarn I used. Next time I will try another kind. But it came out nice 😊

Oh I like that idea. I’m struggling with the half double crochet slip stitch. Thank you!
I'll definitely try to do that, wow..thanks for sharing the idea.😊
Like 2 sc in the same stitch? I also have problems with the slip stitch.
Which rows do you start the fringe on? She never mentions it and I can’t find the written pattern
Thank you I just tried this it’s super cute!
Just made this for my neighbor, whose baby is due in January. It's so easy and quick and absolutely adorable! Thanks for posting the tutorial!

This is a beautiful, tidy style. Love the finger fringe instead of a pom-pom. Making this for my granddaughter. TY.
You are such a sweet Sister!

@sugarjoye thank you!
I tagged her channel in the title. I think if you tap it her channel will pop up ❤
I did see that later. Thank you!

Sie haben vergessen die Nadelstäke an zu geben. Aber sehr gut erklärt
I will make this one thank you! ❤😊🍀🍀🍀🇺🇸🛐
Very pretty! I’ll check out your sisters channel. Love it! Oh and the Softee Baby cotton yarn I didn’t know it existed. I’ll check it out!

Love this hat. I hate making pom-poms.
Clever design! Super cute too ❤
Realmente hermoso. Gracias por compartir, saludos desde Houston 🥰
I just completed this tutorial and the beanie came out nice but I don’t like the yarn I used. Next time I will try another kind. But it came out nice 😊
Since it’s cotton will it shrink? It’s soooo cute!!! Thank you for sharing ALL your beautiful crochet. I’ve learned so much from your channel!!
It’s kind of confusing because the color of the yarn is called “Cotton”. The yarn is actually a cotton/acrylic blend.
Would you say , every how many rounds we will do the extra line to make the pompon. Thank you. Beautiful project.❤
OMG that's so cute, gorgeous ! Thank you, it's so sweet lol
That also looks likes John Boy Crochet hat.
What size hook are you using? I stitched it together with the mattress stitch. No seam. Thank you. Great hat
