Hi Luke currently in London (Wandsworth) for a wedding it was not a late night but travelling all day and abit a stress getting to the location took its toll git back to hotel last night and crashed woke this morning 7 30 and my first thought has Lukes vlog landed! YOU make my Sundays!

Love the new love seat, it looks fab by the window and doesn't look to big and color blends beautifully with all the other furniture. The garden furniture is also really stylish and comfortable. The fox problem, could potentially be solved by installing cat proofing on your fences and back wall. It is designed to prevent cats from being able to climb and escape their garden it also prevents other cats from coming in. It looks discreet and might just stop the fox invasion! 🦊🐾🌻🌻🌷🪴
I haven’t heard of ‘cat proof’ - I will investigate this as we get several cats in our garden and a) they bother the birds and b) they think we are a public toilet facility!!

Luke if you put up a fence the foxes will dig under the fence and get in that way. I know they cause problems but they are the most amazing creatures and so intelligent, try to enjoy them. My husband and I didn't go abroad this year, we took 2 weeks off, spent a couple of nights at a spa hotel a few hours drive away, but the 2 weeks off were needed. We're viewing houses as we're trying to move and saving money for that. ❤

Since you asked for input, I would put the two leather armchairs in the bay window with that darling table between them. The new chair is lovely, but too big in scale for the couch and end table. Your furnishings seem traditional and pretty classic, but I would maybe try another fabric on your ottoman?
I was going to suggest the same thing. Put the big chair into the library for cosy reading and the 2 leather chairs into the bay. Makes sense for if you have people round too and at Christmas time for the tree.
My eldest son has a girlfriend up north, he just came home on Sunday after a week there. His job is here so he has to come back home plus he likes his own room 😊. Enjoy going home Luke ❤ xx

Loving the outdoor furniture and with the heatwave this week I'm sure you'll get great use from it. Think you really need to prioritise getting a shed though to store the cushions.
The fabric for the footstool brings out the colour in the rug. The garden is looking great, everything is coming together. I love train travel but the cancellations ect are a pain in the wotsit. I'm travelling by train from Liverpool to Holyhead in/on Anglesey a week Fri, I've treated myself to 1st class and I'm really looking forward to it . Enjoy seeing your family. I personally love the foot stool like it is. And the over sized chair looks fine in the bay window. Id get some green pillows for the sofa to bring the green from the chair over to the sofa. Love the garden. Remember it takes alot of watering in the garden. When you think its enough water...water some more!!
It is good to take a break and relax. Everything is looking great in the house and garden, except the foxes decorating contributions! I am not a summer person and wish we could trade weather. We haven't had rain in ages here in central NY State and it has been hot since June. You would love what we are having! Enjoy your trip home. I hope your train ride isn't too disrupted!

However you will find the RSPCA have a few ideas of detering them naturally and you might find that useful. Yes, they will poop everywhere, tear cushions, wreak havoc in shed if you leave open, sharpen claws on furniture, get more info and place some wire fence pieces so they can't tunnel and ??? un top of shed roof & fence, as they will climb. Good luck!
@@sarah3136 Not at all. But rural habitat is being lost. Foxes are not supposed to be in urban settings as they have been forced into. Their species grows weaker and less healthy when forced into urban settings for survival. Not good for any species. Cute is not best for ecosystems. Their natural behavior is however destructive to our patios and lawns. And could sicken our pets, if exposed to an ill wild one.

Dont forget your lavendar is french, and it blooms early so its not dying its just finished blooming. Trim the dead f,ower heads off, give the tips a trim to stop it going woody, and then next year it will be lovely again. Buy some english lavendar if you can, it blooms all summer.

You both are very lucky , lovely home , holidays , each other , lovely Meggie , jobs nearly done but with houses always something to do , nice cup do you not feel like the handle my fall off , you are very very lucky , have you got a money machine ha ha print me some off , 10 years since my last holiday , it's hard living week to week , to pay bill and food and that's it , I'm 64 on my own , unfair to have to wait till 66 for pension , I've lost 2 husbands , just hope I've got my health at 66 to enjoy , so you and Zara I've done well 👍👊 so don't feel low , times are good for you both x 😍👍
Oh the foxes!! I live in a suburb of Philadelphia and we’ve been here 10 years. We never saw a fox in our neighborhood or our yard. That changed this year! They seem to love our yard! They lay on my plants and are just pesky little things. When I was planting in the spring, I use plastic tags to label my seedlings. Well, apparently our fox did not like the tags and proceeded to take every single tag out! I didn’t know what was what! We have a bird camera and I thought to get a little pot and I just placed about 10 plastic tags in it to see if I could capture him doing it. Sure enough, he came over to the pot and ripped every tag out! I think maybe he’s aware of how bad plastic can be! They left our yard just as summer began. I’m sure they will be back! Lovely arm chair! I could see myself curling up with a warm blanket and looking out the window. Donna

You have enough going on with the chushion covers why and another patten. a plain fabric to match your lovely new chair woul,d go beautifully. the one material you have is more for a deck chair and would suit the outdoors better. I really like your gorgeous chair. Also, the backyard with the new lounge set is beautiful. The foxes er, I have an issue with neighbors letting their dogs use my front yard for the bathroom. I had to resort to buying spray with liquid pepper. To keep them out. It is painful but better than stepping into a mess. I ordered online from a big box store like Home Depot/Lowes. That may work as well.

I personally love the foot stool like it is. And the over sized chair looks fine in the bay window. Id get some green pillows for the sofa to bring the green from the chair over to the sofa. Love the garden. Remember it takes alot of watering in the garden. When you think its enough water...water some more!!
It is good to take a break and relax. Everything is looking great in the house and garden, except the foxes decorating contributions! I am not a summer person and wish we could trade weather. We haven't had rain in ages here in central NY State and it has been hot since June. You would love what we are having! Enjoy your trip home. I hope your train ride isn't too disrupted!

Hi Luke, glad you had a good break away and a happy birthday. I think the chair fitted quite nicely in the bay window there! The garden corner unit is lovely and suits the garden well. That fox was sure having a fun time, bless him!! They can be quite a problem but can also be lovely to have around. However you will find the RSPCA have a few ideas of detering them naturally and you might find that useful. Onwards & Upwards guys, you have been on a rollercoaster ride for sure but soon things will begin to settle down and into what will become your normal. It's good to see you so happy x

I believe that foxes can cause mange in dogs too, so another reason to fox-proof your garden as much as possible.
We live in the US in a rural area. Charmed at London fox. Not so do I your garden. Yes, they will poop everywhere, tear cushions, wreak havoc in shed if you leave open, sharpen claws on furniture, get more info and place some wire fence pieces so they can't tunnel and ??? un top of shed roof & fence, as they will climb. Good luck!

@@sarah3136 Not at all. But rural habitat is being lost. Foxes are not supposed to be in urban settings as they have been forced into. Their species grows weaker and less healthy when forced into urban settings for survival. Not good for any species. Cute is not best for ecosystems. Their natural behavior is however destructive to our patios and lawns. And could sicken our pets, if exposed to an ill wild one.

Dont forget your lavendar is french, and it blooms early so its not dying its just finished blooming. Trim the dead f,ower heads off, give the tips a trim to stop it going woody, and then next year it will be lovely again. Buy some english lavendar if you can, it blooms all summer.

You both are very lucky , lovely home , holidays , each other , lovely Meggie , jobs nearly done but with houses always something to do , nice cup do you not feel like the handle my fall off , you are very very lucky , have you got a money machine ha ha print me some off , 10 years since my last holiday , it's hard living week to week , to pay bill and food and that's it , I'm 64 on my own , unfair to have to wait till 66 for pension , I've lost 2 husbands , just hope I've got my health at 66 to enjoy , so you and Zara I've done well 👍👊 so don't feel low , times are good for you both x 😍👍

Oh the foxes!! I live in a suburb of Philadelphia and we’ve been here 10 years.
We never saw a fox in our neighborhood or our yard. That changed this year! They seem to love our yard! They lay on my plants and are just pesky little things.
When I was planting in the spring, I use plastic tags to label my seedlings.
Well, apparently our fox did not like the tags and proceeded to take every single tag out!
I didn’t know what was what!
We have a bird camera and I thought to get a little pot and I just placed about 10 plastic tags in it to see if I could capture him doing it. Sure enough, he came over to the pot and ripped every tag out!
I think maybe he’s aware of how bad plastic can be!
They left our yard just as summer began. I’m sure they will be back!

The new material, will look stunning, you could complement it, with changing the lampshades on the lamps to a close match colour, Wich will add so much cosy warmth, along with your beige furniture, on the long Winter evenings, which will come quicker than you think, the way time flies, I live in Spain, and we feel, that we didn't get an autumn or winter last year, but when I visit in February's,, I get a taste of it, loved your holiday in France, in actual fact, I love all your blogs,you and Zara could be sitting cross legged, watching your paint dry, and it would still be fun to watch 😂😂

a plain fabric to match your lovely new chair woul,d go beautifully. the one material you have is more for a deck chair and would suit the outdoors better. But thats just My view. Please get a new shed your next door neighbours one looks good.

I really like your gorgeous chair. Also, the backyard with the new lounge set is beautiful. The foxes er, I have an issue with neighbors letting their dogs use my front yard for the bathroom. I had to resort to buying spray with liquid pepper. To keep them out. It is painful but better than stepping into a mess. I ordered online from a big box store like Home Depot/Lowes. That may work as well.
