Lol These fanvids are what brought me to the show, too. I remember breaking down and binge watching seasons 1 & 2 in two days so I could be caught up because season 3 was due to start in 2 weeks. It was Malec fanvids that did it. Everyone had the kiss at Alec's wedding and I remember wanting to know what lead up to it. :)

Malec actually is one of the reasons why Maryse's character development was good! She came from "You chose Magnus Bane, you ashamed us" to "I'm so happy you found each other. Thank you for loving my boy" AND she was the one to walk Magnus down the aisle. I disliked her before but now i love her. And i love Malec - officially my the most favourite TV couple!!!!!!!!

Yes! Her character development with Magnus and in general was great and I think delighting for someone with homophobic parents to see (like me)
Maryse in seasons 2-3 is the middle aged freshly divorced woman who becomes completely disillusioned, then re-establishes her priorities, reconnects with the important people in her life, has a complete glow up and starts living for herself. And I love that for her.

Ugh, the fact that that ship even exists makes me want to throw up. Alec is gay, period. Clary is straight, period. Malec is endgame, period.
it's kind of unfair to them to have this logic though, because we still sometimes ship two guys/two girls together in other shows when one of them is canon straight and has their own partner for endgame or something. If we wanna say that they shouldn't ship stuff like clalec we have to practice what we preach as well-otherwise we're no better than them.

@@robertdavid5528 It's called The Eldest Curses trilogy. It still has 2 books, the third will come next year I guess. Check it out. The first book take place between TMI series, but the second one take place after TMI

Matthew and Harry are the perfect actors for Magnus and Alec, I’ve been reading the shadowhunters book since 2014 and this is exactly how I imagine they’ll look like ahgg I LOVE THEM
