- This was my first experience with a new map..and it was..hard :D The map itself is pretty nice and I enjoyed exploring it.

I have had pretty much the same experiences, only in carno. The biggest problem is reaching adult and not finding food. But overall, I am having a lot of fun on Gateway!
Yeah lol I can't imagine being a carno who needs to eat even more. Gateway is the best map they ever had in my opinion, but the food problem yeah :D But it is stress test. It must be stressful.
This gali really scared me, I was drinking coffee and I spilled it all over myself.
Ahahah, to be honest, he scared me so much that i would do the same if i had coffee. I did not hear that coming.
Horrible night vision (obstructed vision ) + giant cliffs =horrible experience. It’s literally one of the same problems Spiro had. I don’t know what the devs were thinking, but everything else about gateway is pretty cool.
I agree, cliffs are rlly annoying, especially at night. This night vision is not the best but it was already worse.
the devs are on crack they aren't thinking. the cliffs make this the worst map imo. in spiro there was couple cliffs so to fix it they added 100 more. crackheads
1. Nights are far to dark. Almost can't play during the nightime. (Have to change screen setting and maybe use other programs to my advantage. Have to. Wanna play during the night.) 2. No food. No almost at all. 3. Migration zones are suggestion, so big % of players keep going serching food somewhere else. 4. Majority of carnivore players just have to die due to starvation. Won't event get a chance to find food. 5. Falling from cliff during 5% visibility nightime is the most common cause of death, right before starvation.
On Isla Spiro (current evrima map) got 3 hot spots where 90% of interactions are: center (50%), raptors rock on Nort-West (25%) and swamp. (25%). And i think it's fine. Bigger map isn't always count as a better map.
So in that case, devs should double or triple max amount of players on the single server or drasticly increase hunger duration time from ~45mins to ~2 or 3 hrs. Moreover every Juvi should start with 50% stomach, not 15% as it's now.
I can tell you truthfully, carnivore food spawns EVERYWHERE, i have looked at it in spectator mode, it even spawns in areas players probably never go. There is no real excuse to starve on a carnivore if the server is active either, bodies everywhere (mainly from people falling to their deaths)

The new map is nice, visually, it’s just a shame that they punish you for exploring outside of the hotspots (especially if you are an herbivore, or carnivore with fast food drain like carno). Migration system and stamina changes make it so most of the island will be dead as hell unfortunately, the fact that you are pretty much guaranteed to have to traverse cliffs unless you stay on the roads does not help

Utahs in my opinion in this new update are good, only if they fixed the carno issue of them hitting you more than you should be hitting them.

Honestly as bb it’s easier for me to stick around water with all the frogs spawning lol they fill you up quick then you can take your time finding your diet
Good advice. I could not find any AI, just mostly frogs, so I'll stay closer to the water next time.
The gateway map is the best update for the isle so far. It is so beautiful. The graphics are really good especially on epic with lumen, it is so detailed even rain causes tiny ripples in the rivers and lakes.
Dinos can become so much bloody in their body when they get attacked constantly only when you washed it in the water, that bloodstain will be gone. Same thing if you spent too much time in dirty area, your dino will also become dirty.
The gateway is equivalent to gondwa map of Path of Titans. Lots of biomes and diverse area. But sadly, i think gateway has a lot more to offers than gondwa. The isle already had migration systems, nesting systems, and working AI, while gondwa don't. And soon they added the elusive herrera, bone chilling dilo, intimidating dibble, and mighty rex and trike. The gameplay would be so dinamics with their own unique abilities.
I agree that this map is their best update. I had no idea about dirty areas/ blood effects, sounds pretty good. Evrima dinosaurs have the best animations, everything looks pretty nice. I am just sad about some bugs which persist for quite some time, like not being able to eat or broken pounce.
@@janeagaming agreed, i think that bug Will ever persist no matter how hard the devs working it out. Not to mention that there are still, hackers exploting the game. I couldn't agree with you more on this
I like the game because survival and horror element inside the game. I love game like DBD, Friday the 13th, and Texas chain massacre. You can feel the dread and horror playing this game, especially when you go solo, fresh spawn, and it was night time at the game. You need to thread carefully on everything, from drinking to safe logging out.
The goal is to survive to reach adult stage. You need different diets to get perfect growth, So you Will constantly move around the map or migration zone to find the food. Making the Players spread across the map. And They trying to remove most of the toxicity within the game by giving debuffs to cannibalism for most Dino species.
And when you reached adult you have an option to become cold blooded warriors who struggle to Conquer the servers through many battles to prove your mettle or become loving parents that would provide for your offsprings, cooperate with your mate taking care of your offsprings, protecting your offsprings from any dinos that attack your nest. I have so much fun nesting in this game.
The gameplay feels so dynamics and each dino has it own lethal and unique signature attack. Like Pounce for raptors, Ramming for carnos, Bacteria bite for Ceras, etc. Honestly, this game got so much potential in the future.

It seems like the servers are getting better now. This morning there was only 17 players on NA 1 and thats what was showing while I was in the server not at the menue. I've been getting in within 1 or 2 attempts during busy hours.
Lucky you. I am pretty sure that in some hours it is not so full anymore, but in the time i tried it was all full

It takes some time. I am using wacom graphic tablet to draw my thumbnails.
