  • In this week's adventure we take the ferry crossing from Cairnryan to Larne in Northern Ireland and head down to the Titanic Quarter and into Belfast before travelling to our park up in Grey Abbey.
Titanic Quarter in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is a large-scale waterfront regeneration, comprising historic maritime landmarks, film studios, education facilities, apartments, a riverside entertainment district, and the world's largest Titanic-themed attraction centred on land in Belfast Harbour, known until 1995 as Queen's Island. The 185-acre (75 ha) site, previously occupied by part of the Harland and Wolff shipyard, is named after the company's, and the city's, most famous product, RMS Titanic.
We then headed through the lovely little village of Grey Abbey across to BallyHalbert to meet up with family enjoying some time on the coast before driving across to Delamont Country Park, our stopover for the night.
From here it’s a short walk up to the imposing STRANGFORD STONE , the tallest megalith in the British Isles.
On 26 June 1999, 1,000 young people, assembled at Delamont Country Park to pull the large granite megalith to the elevated site which enjoys views over Strangford Lough towards Slieve Croob and the Mountains of Mourne.
The stone stands twelve and a half meters high and weighs 47 tonnes.
On the final day before heading back to Scotland, we visited Divis and the Black Mountain enjoying an invigorating walk, the views, vistas and scenery.
Escaping Reality, a channel where we journey to many different locations across the UK and Europe from where we get outside, visit the local area, explore the landscape and experience the great outdoors - sharing our trips, travels and adventures through the medium of film, drone footage and photography.
Travelling in our Adria Twin Supreme 640 SLB.
We both enjoy a plant based diet and may take you with us to some of the vegan cafes, restaurants and eateries that we find on our trips.
Andrew has a passion for photography inspired by his late father who sparked his interest from a very early age. He also enjoys film making and videography which combined with the van trips provides all the ingredients for the channel.
Thank you , Andrew and Vicky.
