Misunderstanding of ATC - Air china 981 and Student solo White Waltham to Goodwood.

This is a very embarrassing video of myself and my RT skills. I was doing my second solo from White Waltham to Goodwood and ATC asked me do I have Mode C. All I could hear was MO Charlie and I could not figure out what was he saying. The problem was that when he repeated it I got so scared I couldn't really focus on what he was saying to me. When I watched this clip you can clearly hear what he was saying but believe me, it wasn't that clear to my ears at that time ;)

Coincidentally I was actually listening in when you were being asked about your mode Charlie from my home (you overflew my house). I really felt for you and I wondered what I would have done in a similar situation. I think you did ok and the Farnborough guys are very helpful. Glad you survived the flight to Goodwood.
I'll get you a drink in the bar next time and tell you about my similar experience with Luton which at times was a bit like your Air China clip.

That is amazing you actually heard it at the time... I bet you never thought someone could embarrass himself by posting such a moment on RUclips and make it public LOL but I think this is my therapy to kick myself and make it better. The best thing about it is that I can massacre myself in terms of criticism with no limits and I will never be sued by the person in the video LOL

Actually i would delete trumpet background music and use sth difer 🙂
