One of my girlfriends (of a group of 6 girls) made a mixed cassette tape for me about 20yrs ago and this song was there...years later I became a hopeless drug addict and I would never call any of them because I was so ashamed and disgusted with what I'd become, how I looked and didn't want any of them to see me like that. Each time I got outta rehab I'd call them just to tell them I was "finally" clean and we would meet up and it'd be great, they were so happy for me...but then I would relapse and go another few yrs without calling. I'm proud to say I've been clean almost 3yrs now and I've come back to my 'Circle' of friends who never gave up hope on me and were always there for me no matter how many times I fell. Because that's what True Friends do 👭💕 This song touches my heart because no matter how alone we may feel for whatever reason, there ARE people out there who love and care about us and will always have our backs...so please, don't ever give up hope! Because "SOMEONE out there loves you" and you are NEVER alone. So if you're out there struggling, remember those words: BE STRONG AND

I'm sorry but I don't agree. You talk about you. You talk about your own point of view of things. It's not because your friends are showing up and are true friends to you that it's the same for other people.
I try always to be positive with all the drama in my life, with my toxic family and being sexually assaulted at 14 yo and with all the social anxiety that grew within me since the age of 9, people keep rejecting me no matter how hard I try to be nice and friendly. For them, I was a weirdo, the shy ugly girl. Then when I changed my looks in college, I began to notice jealousy. So many friends ended things with me. Then as an adult, I get rejected at work, in circles of just a group of people because I'm different. I've been mocked my whole life, bullied, hated. I'm tired to feel this. I'm tired of being nice when no one wants me for who I am. Guys only see my body, girls hate me and think I'm an arrogant bitch and my parents use me for their image and think I'm an idiot who can't have a good life of hers.
Sorry but I'm here being the proof that YOU CAN BE ALONE FOR REAL AND FEEL ALONE, deceived ALWAYS.

I feel this song on a visceral level. I've been isolating myself from everyone I know since my dog died, he was my best friend for 15 years and died in my arms this month and I've never felt so empty inside. he was my friend when I had literally no one else. I feel like shit for removing myself from everybody's lives but I just can't deal with life or anybody in it anymore and all the love I had left with my boy. I miss you Tank :'(

This is me. I know what I like ! I like being alone ! Even at my own home ! I don't care what other people think of me ! And I'm not good at talking to them ! What's the big deal ? At least I talk about things worth debating ! I quit ! I give up ! My parents can tell me I isolate myself too much. I don't care ! They should be happy that at least people know I exist and have an idea of who I am as a person !
