  • We had a blast this week walking in to fish for kings! We are in the beginning of fall salmon season up here in northern Michigan which means Kyle is busy running guided river trips! If you are interested in booking a trip with Kyle, visit our website, www.xxlchromechasing.com, for details on the trips or give Kyle a call. We do not have any more available days for fall of 2021 but would be happy to get you on some fish next year!
    Thanks for tuning in again this week!

      Well you gave away the area. about 750 miles from Traverse City area, but it would be easy to get the salmon count from the state of the major salmon runs in the area rivers, once you get that, the salmon are going to be in the creeks that feed those rivers. But anyway its a great fishing method, and it proves some salmon DO EAT on there way journey before they spawn. I guide in Oregon where I fished told me that years ago. Salmon are a sacred fish, and the different fisheries do a great job protecting them, and the sport.

Buy the second trip at Sheep Creek northwest of Anchorage I caught a 60lb King. The thrill of my life…that thing was like trying to move a log around the river that would occasionally get mad and run off…lol. • @rontoomey1187
    @rontoomey1187 2 года назад

    Yes, I am from the West Coast; Washington State and now in Nevada. Evident you are jerking to set the hook immediately after your bobber sinks below the surface. There is slack in the line at that time and your jerk is not effective as you can not possibly set the hook; your pulling a slack line. Allowing a few seconds for the fish to start swimming away with the bait in its mouth, tightens the slack in your line and provides a strong hook up in the mouth when you set the hook after feeling the pulling resistance. Try it. You will understand and not lose so many fish! I have been fishing for 70 years. Suggest you watch a few "Addicted Fishing" videos as this exact thing is explained and demonstrated.

    • @AdventureChasing
      @AdventureChasing  3 года назад

      Number one I would suggest casting junior thundersticks in the fire tiger and hot tiger colors. Those produce very well and can produce better than skein at times. You can also stake out at a fish cleaning station or dam parking lot and ask people for their skeins when they come in.

    use mono instead of braid for drift fishing. for salmon spinning reel setup, i recommend 14lb sunline super natural since its super smooth and limp. 13ft ML rod is what i use for both my spinning as well as centerpin and its super fun. if you want the most fun then 13ft L rod. some people might think its too light for salmon but play the drag right, you wont have a problem. tight lines!

I seen a one Big Cat jump from top of tree line and go about 1/2 mile and those Big Douglass Fur were bending 1/8 way down on the top. jumping from tree to tree. Yet that what make it more fun. Keep the videos coming Kyle! I watch all your stuff, including your pautzke and addicted appearances... you and the boys should come to georgian bay... it's part of the great lakes on the Canadian side of Huron... we have some of the best fall Chinook fishing in the world.

    Get an Ugly stick tiger saltwater edition rod. The yellow ones. In a heavy weight class. You won’t have problems turning that salmon with one of those. If you got the money. Get a Star rod “plasma”. They got the stiffest backbone.

    When they go on a marathon run try putting the tip of your rod under the water. Not sure if it would help but does with 40+ lb Carp
    Would love to have a go at them Salmon
