SAME I remember her in tears over the fact she had pulled so much of her hair out and now she's recovered so dramatically since then!!! It's so inspiring because I'm 32 and though I would NEVER stop pulling my hair out.. after having my 3rd child I pulled out the most hair I ever have in my life although I'm much better now and pull free.. seeing how much she has improved so heartening ♥️😊

I bet Beckie has helped a whole lot of people with trich on this channel and others as well, by just powering through life and doing what she had to or needed to do-- basically just not giving up. Life gets better if you can just hang on through those tough parts, but it is hard to do at times.

Nah, I honestly think cycling helped.
Still struggled at times though before the last lockdown... just wasn't limping around the shop with it. Last time I needed the stick on the job was early December. x

Hey , love your videos, you are a big inspiration to me as I have had trichotillamania for nearly 16 years and I struggle really badly still, I pulled my hair so much that I now have no eyelashes and eyebrows and i have a huge bald patch on my head. I'm shaving my hair next week so I can hopefully start fresh. 😭 Thanks for your videos, they have really made me feel a lot better about myself , hope you are doing well 🥰

Oh not to mention, I know too, what it’s like working in a charity shop. I’d been the youngest for a while at the one I went to. Had to stop for a bit due to study pressures but it’s certainly enjoyable. Especially when looking out for yourself (masks, hand sanitiser etc)

My Google Home Mini just started playing a random song on spotify.
As an allergy suffer myself I can recommend taking a stronger antihistamine, when mine is really bad I take chlorpheniramine you can get it from boots at the chemist section. But obviously check it won't affect your migraine medication or any other medication your taking. X

Ahhh another believer in the “big bag, small bag” philosophy. I picked that habit up from other commuters who’d have a small bag for their essentials (wallet, keys, etc) and then the rest of their stuff in the main backpack or bag. Definitely a lifesaver!
P.S I also worked in a charity shop, those tagging guns can be lethal 😂

Sounds like the cycling is helping your legs. I have cerebral palsy and find the same thing of varied use of my stick. I find that if I keep on top of exercise and gentle stretching it really helps. Just going on walks sometimes compounds the problem. Plenty of physio resources online if you think it would be of any help xx

Beckie, I have been following you for years. In fact, I think you were the first person I actually followed on RUclips. (All because I stumbled across your channel and LOVED your voice and accent. You have gone through so much and you came through it all and you are doing well and with beautiful hair, and your own apartment.
I really had hoped you would find a niche in voicework. Your voice should be famous, well, it is on here, I suppose, but I would love to have a recording of you reading stuff like Harry Potter or the Tolkien books aloud so I could listen in my car. But I was thinking maybe I would pick up a better tone to my own voice. I could so use it. When I hear my own voice on tape, I cringe.

No, but thank you for letting me know. I haven't walked past the shop in about 8 weeks - so I would have been so sad if I had seen. Thank you. Just did a quick google and found where they are. So grateful they haven't closed. Although the treasure trove that it was, was lovely - it must be wonderful to have more space now!

I have to take sumatriptan as well for my migraines did not know it came in a spray I have it in tablet form might have to see if my doctor can swop me to the spray and I tried the daily tablet you mentioned but it did not work for me so I have Topiramate which is another one to try
Yes. I wasn't allowed to take the tablet due to the amount of nausea and actual throwing up I go through. Taking medications orally is a waste of time as I throw them back up, the spray is faster and goes through the nose. They usually prescribe the tablets. Try asking if you can swap, but it isn't for everyone. I know it's taken a long time to feel comfortable using it.... all good now.
