I think the best way to “fix” this ride while keeping the FF theme is tearing down the old ride system, and add in a high tech upgraded version of Disney’s Test Track system. It works in Hollywood though because it's already part of the backlot tour, so it's more tolerable. The fact that is has it's own attraction here is mind-blowing. The added pre-show in Orlando just makes it 10 times worse than it already is.
Totally agree! Muddy and dark, and the glasses limit eye sight the way they’re built so on something like King Kong it’s constantly moving your head just to make sure you don’t miss anything and then missing half of what’s happening because your vision is blocked.
FF Stunt show with cars would have been epic. But I’m sure they ditched that idea thinking of the all the actors and crew they had to employ. But the benefits of the show would win over the costs IMO.
Something I realized on a more recent trip - there's no music in the ride. After the party scene, it's just sound effects and dialogue. Not saying music would fix it, but it can be ridiculously effective at making a scene more tense or exciting.
The best solution for this dumpster fire of a ride is to keep the system largely the same, but completely overhaul the entire theme of it to Knight Bus from Harry Potter. It’s logical, cost-effective, and would be a hell of a lot better than what they have now.
@@HydraGen2299 You make that sound like a bad thing. If it was themed well, even non-HP fans could enjoy it. Plus, it would work perfectly with the London theme. I say gut it.
@@doctorvondoom5797 I do agree with the overkill, but still think this is better than what we got IF they’re gonna pinch pennies. Otherwise, I’d personally tear it all down and build from the ground up again.
My idea: Copy Test Track, but have it be a race between four cars based on the favorite rides of Torreto, Letty, Han and Roman. You pick whose team you want to be on in the queue, like the old Dueling Dragons coaster. The winning car is randomized and will get a special ending, encouraging re rides.
"I think the first thing that could be done to improve the ride without tearing it down and starting over that is" *It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them* Fast & Furious is super big and profitable in China, so I won't be surprised if they do end up getting a F&F attraction eventually. All they have are some cars on display.
In other words no, this right can't really be saved without starting over from scratch. I for one hate the 360 element cause im constantly moving my head to figure out what is going on, and it gives me a headache.
The 360 element is pointless of this attraction. All the important stuff happens on the right screen, if you watch the left side, you’re wasting your time.
I feel the same way I hate having to turn my head left and right just to see what’s going on I’m surprised no one’s hurt their neck doing that The 360 element is horrible for the ride
I agree because I’m tired of screen based rides it’s not really immersive at all and I’d rather have it be somewhat like test track at Epcot where you would sit in the nice sports car and they would be points where the car will drift and you could have a race with another car
When they initially gutted the building and I was watching the progression from the outside I swore they were making it more like Transformers and Spiderman. Which would have been wholly preferable. Now I only like it for the AC on a hot day. I generally nap on it now.
The IP is already dead lol It’s been dead for years now nobody talks about it, they should just turn it into a night bus ride from Harry Potter because they already have the purple bus and Harry Potter has a way bigger following and is way more popular
Great points all around, especially with the observations about 3D. Glad to see Universal seems to realize how major of a misstep this ride was. A refresh would help, but the ride will always have a reputation. You can't unring a bell, as they say. I say they should retheme it if they want to keep the ride system or update the ride system if they want to stick with F&F. You can't keep both and have Universal quality.
That would be great! I doubt they’d do it, but Universal is really lacking in the shows department as it is. Bourne as been a great add to the park, so another action show but outside would be dope.
@@noelvaldez96 of course an outdoor stunt show instead of using screens and wearing 3D glasses, we’ll have live actors and special effects. Right now universal needs to start listening to us and stop relying on screens and rediscover their roots
Great idea and keeping in the original philosophy "To Ride the Movies". Unfortunately that means hiring several shifts of stunt workers along with additional insurance. I think a contributing reason for the demise of the T2:3D was the requirement for live performers. And you have to take what the labor market dishes out. I last saw it in 2014 and the actor playing Arnold onstage should have elicited a line like, "Aren't you a little fat to be a Terminator?", bless his heart. The thing about rides is that ride attendants are fairly interchangeable and don't get paid to fall out of windows.
ok guys hear me out. so the universal park is themed to different big cities like nyc, london, and san francisco. what if they removed simpsons land and build a new land themed to tokyo. they could fit fast and furious in perfectly with an opportunity to a have hello kitty meet n greet as well as any other attractions, but it would tie in perfectly as tokyo is a really iconic city featured in tons of movies like the other areas of the park. they could also use the kiddie land for it and make the areas more easily accessible
I wish that they would re-theme this as The Purge during HHN. Make it where you're taking to bus to escape the city during The Purge. Just have some scare actors there for the Physical parts and then have a different movie for the rest. Both preshow rooms could be used too. Not sure about the 1st room, maybe like a what is the purge/NFFA stuff. Then use the 2nd room to do commencement. Would love to see all those screens scroll that!
I’m fine with a fast and furious theme but I just don’t like that the ride is slow and then it’s really short ride. I really think this should of been like test track something fast not slow, and eventually this ride may be replaced with something.
Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy Supercharged to an extent but I agree that today it doesn't live up to hype as it was intended to be so I believe an update is in order if it proves to be worth it. Also thank you for acknowledging the absence of the 3D cause to this day I still can't believe that it's was cancelled for the Orlando version while they mention the glasses in the queue and Hollywood still has the 3D. Why couldn't we have the same treatment? Now I really really really hope Universal updates the graphics. Yeah I didn't mind how they looked the first time I've ridden the ride but now I understand why many people were complaining about it to begin with so there needs to be some major improvements.
I think a quick bandaid is all this will be in order to get the complaints to quiet down a bit. The space should be used for something else eventually though, and really liked the idea of a night bus attraction!
This is a very simple fix, just do the same thing that Kong does, put a giant animatronic Vin Diesel head at the end of the rid. The ride is instantly fixed and becomes one of the best at the park.
I went on this ride two weeks ago for the first time and it broke down. Employees were strict and did not want anyone recording anything while we disembarked. Although the preshow was hilarious, due to the live actors, the ride itself felt underwhelming and disorienting. This ride can definitely use an upgrade.
With rides like Test Track and the Cars racing ride out in California Adventure, Universal really dropped the ball. That ride technology is 20+ years old (Test track) and you could have done a real fun and fast racing ride or something, similar to Test Track and the Cars ride. Total missed opportunity.
I agree with you but at this point I would just get rid of the whole ride and turn it into a night bus ride from Harry Potter Harry Potter is way more popular and has a way bigger following, fast and furious is a dead IP
If they're going to refurbish this attraction, they should keep the building intact, and should make it like Test Track or Radiator Springs Racers. Have the thrill element of Test Track where you are going at high speed and sudden stops, while also competing against other riders like Radiator Springs Racers, while also blending in 3D screens and physical set pieces. I mean, Fast and Furious is all about racing and high speed chase.
Agreed 100%, especially with the 3D glasses issue and also the shortness of the ride. The thing is they can make the ride longer since you're mostly in one theater area, so that's good if they can make a new film....that's also not GTA 5 quality graphics
I get trying to save the space and OG ride style, but no reason we weren’t in a super car hitting the NOS on some kinda of launch coaster. Universal has really become way too dependent on the “screen” aspect on everything
As long as this ride remains on a bus that you sit on and watch a screen, it won't be good. Kong is a step up from Fast and Furious, but still not a good ride in my opinion.
Either bring back the original earthquake with modern upgrades, or get rid of the ride completely. If you arent a fast and the furious fan this ride is ranked among the worst in the world. Besides the ride looking cheesy, the min of actual ride isnt really that bad. To be honest kind of fun at the end, but like they said in the video, after I rode it for the first time, THATS IT??? Take your cues from disney; go ride the rise of the resistance.
They should turn it into a night bus ride from Harry Potter Harry Potter is a way more popular IP and has a bigger following, fast and furious is a dead IP
That’d be really cool, but I kinda doubt it. People are still nostalgic for the 90’s Mummy, Brendan Fraser is synonymous with the attraction (“I would have enjoyed this interview a lot more if I had gotten MY CUP OF COFFEE!”), AND Brendan’s made a major comeback in recent times.
I think what they need to do is basically turn this into like a racing launching coaster like Westcoast racers at six flags magic mountain and use the alley scene from Aerosmith rocking roller coaster but do it 10x better with screens and props! Make it feel like you're in the streets and definitely add the music from fast and the furious.
Excellent point on returning the 3d. Bad animation is worse animation when 3d is removed. Furthermore, 3d actually hides a lot of issues because people are excited about things being in their faces and will forgive bad CGI. That said, this is yet another instance of a studio being cheap. Why would they allow CGI that looks worse than Terminator 2 3d, a movie that is 25 years old? This was an epic fail on Universal Creative's part. The animation was tolerated in Hollywood because it was a short feature in the middle of a much-longer experience, and it was definitely better than the Kuka arm "Disco Cars" bit. They knew it wasn't setting the world on fire when it was greenlit for Florida. Obviously Fast & Furious needed to be here and this was the obvious option. The fail came about when they ignored the success of Skull Island's "extras" and instead went with the only part of Race Through New York that was any good: the preshow. So they went with like 100 preshows and they didn't do any of them right! As Alicia said, the "ride" portion is too short. If they don't make a larger percentage of this exciting, the ride will never be tolerated. There are two options that I can see to fixing this, and both require removing the on-ride preshows: 1) The first screen building could house an actually exciting 3d animation, and the second could be an exposition scene that would explain the third and final exciting animation scene. I don't actually understand the story, but Alicia's Hobbs & Shaw suggestion is a perfect example of what could be done. Shaw is the bad guy in the current film, so put that first, then film a new scene where Hobbs and Shaw have to work together to stop something else from happening. Maybe one of Shaw's henchpeople has a Doomsday Device and only Shaw knows how to stop him? This film franchise isn't actually bursting with intelligence, so it wouldn't require much of a plot twist. 2) From the get-go, I never understood the intelligence of getting rid of the Earthquake scene. It was evergreen at this point (1974's version is still part of the Studio Tour in USH!), with the preshows being the major issue over its entire run here (always with the preshows!). Why couldn't Shaw have caused an earthquake (via some ridiculous weapon) and then the limo escapes that and is part of the chase to catch him? Personally, I'd just turn this into "Disaster 2: Faster & Furiouser" (not really the name). You enter a warehouse at the docks - this is San Francisco, after all - where suddenly there's an earthquake, maybe started by a Twister funnel, then a tsunami floods everything and then Jaws attacks! It's no more ridiculous than the later F&F films! Plus, it's film-free, it's pretty hilarious, and it would please all of us missing these classic opening-year attractions. Now that I think about it, why isn't there a Sharknado attraction? One of them was actually filmed here. Also, why not just make Rip Ride Rockit tolerable and call it Fast and Furious? Or retheme the Mummy? Those Furious peeps are always driving backwards! Besides, a Knight Bus attraction actually sounds kinda fun. Better than VR helmets...
I think the attraction can be improved with better VFX in the final 360 room and a more exciting first scene. Ditch the dance party, and make the "party bus" a "transport bus". We're on a mission to get some kind of intel drive to "The Family". Replace the party scene with a shootout scene. I would try to use some actual actors in this scene. Some practical squib gunshot effects and maybe a few stunts would make it feel more like an experience rather than just watching some movies. Personally, I'd leave the 3-d out of it. I have vision problems that basically prevent 3d effects from ever really working. I end up just seeing everything in a blurry double vision and most of the time it's easier for me to just leave them off. But that's just me and I know for a lot of folks the effect works great and they love it. Another dope video as always!
I think a twin racing theme that builds on the test track idea that someone mentioned, but it includes something like the garage racing scene in Tokyo drift is the way to go. Love Fast and Furious movies and I was highly disappointed in the ride. The pre shows are nice and would be more so if you were designing your race car prior to hopping into your ride. With two sides that are boarded once you get to the actual ride with separate experiences that move parallel to each other in an actual racing thrill format and varied winning and losing side.
So tired of all these bad movies that we're being told are "popular" but I can't find anyone who's seen ab F&F beyond the second one. it feels like they're telling us it's popular, but not actually being popular.
Alicia, since you invoke the first, do you feel that Universal is becoming too dependent on Wizarding World? It is going to be in three parks. USF will have virtually 1/4 of it once the replacement of Fear Factor comes in. But back to the subject, I have read some of the comments and believe that F&F deserves far better than what the park(s) have developed. This attraction works for the studio tour only because it fits in with a studio tour theme. But Universal made a Chapek mistake in trying to be frugal and just throw in a bunch of screen / 3D attractions and then insult us with retheming the Kong attraction as the F&F Supercharged. I do believe they have learned from their mistakes and have moved forward - Hagrids and Velocicoaster. I think we can expect better things moving forward. I do agree about this being a band-aid until the Mummy is finished. I do think the parks do better with shows. It is a way to absorb crowds and makes a lot of money for the parks - vending (food and merchandise). The only show USF has is the animal actors. The Horror Makeup show and Bourne Spectacular are small theaters.
The entire experience is horrendous. From the graphics, preshow, pacing and even acting was poor. It does not help that they copy the exact same technology from skull island. Get rid of the fast and furious theme and replace with something completely different or make it something retro like back to the future
It was almost as if the actors completely forgot how to play their characters. ALL of them. And that "club scene" with all the girls is atrocious on about a hundred levels.
I kinda like the ride. Its not a must ride everytime i go. And would of liked to see it in 3d but people on passholder page were bitchin about it. Like ohhh no not another 3d ride smh
I think the problem with the ride is that everybody was expecting that and not a shitty rebrand of Kong that came out within a year or 2 of fast and furious.
@@BrockV39 well obviously when you think fast and the furious you think of fast cars and everyone would expecting to be fast actual cars not a freaking bus 😂😂
I remember some of the cool, innovative ideas that were going to be built into this attraction until the budget got cut. Honestly, at this point they should gut it and start over, but since that won't happen they may as well fix the janky video and extend the actual ride sequence, as well as actually use 3D.
I wish the ride was based off of the first and second film. Those imo are the best movies because it isn’t about the unrealistic stunts, but about the cars. That’s the reason why people fell in love with it in the first place
i’m not sure why they never went the test track route with this to begin with… you have so much material from the movies to work from. Race wars out in the desert, drift racing up parking garages or throughout Britain, or even chasing down Shaw throughout Britain or escaping Russia like in F8. you can still utilize some of the screening. put some track down in there and get furious!
If I was given a bag of money and creative control here, but still had to make a fast and furious ride, I’d overhaul it from the ground up. Fast and Furious is about racing, so I think it’s a huge shame they don’t take advantage of those beautiful cars. I picture a Transformers/Spiderman-type vehicle that can spin around and move quickly, and have a mix of practical street elements and occasional digitally-enhanced segments. You could drag race against the infamous Skyline and Charger in that big tunnel area, and drift against rx7s in a more corner-y area, or possibly recreating that parking garage scene with the 370z. Just take some of those display cars and put them on some kind of sled system so they can move around along and race with the riders. I’m not too familiar with the franchise as a whole, so I’m probably off on some things. But I can’t be the only one who expects a fast and furious ride to be about racing, right?
They should tear it down, put a pay for ride gokart attraction. That’s ALL they have to do and it will become a visitor favorite, and a huge profit for the park. They could keep the theming. Neon, wings, and flashy paint on the karts. From a business perspective, I see no reason they wouldn’t go this route. Honestly, idk why they didn’t go that route from the get go.
Nothing was changed during this refurbishment, but like it says at the end of the video, they'll have another chance to make changes after the Mummy coaster reopens later next year -OR- they just give up on this ride and it goes seasonal. Which is a definite possibility!
They need to change the bus we ride in, you can't see the film clearly, the view unless sitting in the front seat is blocked by the columns in the bus, the plastic the people also block the view, and the film is also not clear. Should be an open top bus or like a sports car, but needs to be open so we can see what's going on
How they thought making this a screen ride, and not something like Test Track, is beyond me. I know they don't have the space to build a complete clone of it, but they could have done something with the space back there to make it, at least, a little bit fast and perhaps even a little furious.
Okay i am big fan of the fast&furious I think they should put more detail and a ( little fast family friendly ride ) so people can enjoy it even small ones
I'll echo what many are saying: when this ride was being built, and we saw the huge footprint it took up, we were all hype about speculation this would be Universal's response to Disney's Test Track / Radiator Spring ride. A fast car ride based around this franchise made sense. But instead we got...a bus. If universal would use the tech it already has (looking at you donkey kong coaster), it could make a serious F&F thrill ride! I'm faithful they'll overhaul this one day.
I think I know what they’re gonna do. Or at least one thing….I sent them a couple of of emails telling them one of the pains of glass for the party scene has huge water streaks on it. From top to bottom and it completely ruins the illusion. So I think this tempt shut down could be to clean that up
Yep! While that didn’t make it into the video, I did talk about that in the article version of this story, linked in the description. It looks rather disgusting at the moment.
The whole train idea gotta be fixed. People sitting in the middle could not enjoy the ride as the bars going up and down was blocking the view of the screens. And unlike Kong ride, where the action took place both side of the screen going back and forth, Supercharged there was 2 separate scenes going on and you were breaking your neck trying to catch both sides and also trying to see pass the bars.
They used the same amount of space as trest track, this ride literally could have been a cooler fast and furious version of test track instead there is more cue than ride
Ok hear me out. I was in Universal Orlando a few weeks ago and rode F&F Supercharged. The workers have tweaked the 2 pre-shows and had me genuinely cracking up through both of them. It's completely different from when it opened. If you're in Universal Orlando give this ride another shot for the workers alone.
Seriously, they can be absolutely hilarious in those two preshows. Only redeeming thing about the experience right now. The Team Members are killing it, had me dying laughing!
I think it would of been awesome if they had a rollercoaster ff ride. My idea would sitting in one of the cars from the movies the ride would launch you straight like a drag race and then coaster part would take over
This ride has an absurdly long queue. Taking some of it away to put in a flat ride would be a big improvement to the park. The park is really lacking in smaller rides and non-screen rides. F+F bumper cars would be great.
Hmm.... Fix the CGI, Bring In the 3D Effects with via Glasses. Implement physical effect with visual effects, like when the fire parts happen bring in the heat temperature lime what happens in Spider-Man 3D.
Should of been some kind of rollercoaster.. I think they are realising they made a mistake bringing over a copy of a ride.. I would say close it rethink about putting something else in there? Maybe do a fast and furious rollercoaster ride in the new park?
I think it will just go to 3D- otherwise they would need to cut a new CGI sequence and shoot all new segments with the original actors and that's never happening.
What do you think? Can Supercharged be fixed?
In a word, no.
Probably not
No, its taking up valuable space. It needs to be replaced with an animatronic base ride asap.

Good point. It really helps on the Harry Potter rides! The Kong 360 scene has music, right! Wonder why not this.
The best solution for this dumpster fire of a ride is to keep the system largely the same, but completely overhaul the entire theme of it to Knight Bus from Harry Potter. It’s logical, cost-effective, and would be a hell of a lot better than what they have now.
See I’d like that but if fear factor becomes a Potter thing too then the park will have a GIGANTIC chunk of it themed to Potter
@@HydraGen2299 You make that sound like a bad thing. If it was themed well, even non-HP fans could enjoy it. Plus, it would work perfectly with the London theme. I say gut it.
I love potter but that would be overkill in the park since something will already take over fear factor lives spot
@@doctorvondoom5797 agreed. I don't want Universal to only be known for Harry Potter. I want that era to be over.
@@doctorvondoom5797 I do agree with the overkill, but still think this is better than what we got IF they’re gonna pinch pennies. Otherwise, I’d personally tear it all down and build from the ground up again.

Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice.

@@onewisefrog5785 But which VERSION of him and Lyds? The cartoon oi the movie?
My idea: Copy Test Track, but have it be a race between four cars based on the favorite rides of Torreto, Letty, Han and Roman. You pick whose team you want to be on in the queue, like the old Dueling Dragons coaster. The winning car is randomized and will get a special ending, encouraging re rides.
"I think the first thing that could be done to improve the ride without tearing it down and starting over that is"
*It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them*
Fast & Furious is super big and profitable in China, so I won't be surprised if they do end up getting a F&F attraction eventually. All they have are some cars on display.
90% of Supercharged was them telling everyone to turn off their phone.
We don’t want Shaw tracing our location! (Or anyone sharing how bad this attraction looks on social media?)
I think the garage and pre show area is wasted. Much prefer they extended the ride and add physical props than screens
This ride seems to be one of those cases where an executive was like “they won’t care about how it looks. People love fast and furious”
Literally though.
I know we can fix the ride.
A giant wrecking Ball👍
Agreed. It must be destroyed! Maybe we could a dummy of Miley Cyrus on it.
... Will there be a line to tear it down?
@@illusionsmage I’m sure there will be a long one. If there isn’t already.

@Super Succubi Is this steel ball you are referring to big, round, and never finished high school?
I'm a huge Fast fan, but wow this attraction was a huge L. So sad. Personally don't think it can be saved.
I have low expectations, but high hopes. 🤞🤞 Thanks for using a few of our clips!
Thanks for posting such awesome footage. Yours is definitely the most exciting I’ve seen!
the only good thing about this ride is how short it is, you don't have to suffer for very long. I can't imagine making it longer
Yes but the not 1 but 2 preshows make it much much longer.
😂
The nightbus idea would actually work really well with this system
I agree!!! Harry Potter is way more popular than fast and furious anyway!
I think fast and furious is one my favorite rides they should add more sence to this ride
"But Will it Fix It?"
Short Answer: No
Long Answer: Noooo
With the size of the building they could have done a trackless system where you dock into a ln armored vehicle and then *that's* the screen portion.
How to fix the ride:
Step 1: Destroy it
Step 2: Make a better ride
Step 3: Don’t make it another fast and furious ride because it’s a dying IP
exactly and that goes for here in Hollywood as well
The IP is already dead lol It’s been dead for years now nobody talks about it, they should just turn it into a night bus ride from Harry Potter because they already have the purple bus and Harry Potter has a way bigger following and is way more popular
Finally, someone see's my issue with the removal of 3D in the Universal theme parks
We must unite!
Get rid of the 3-D for good!
@@MoiveGuy24 No, why?
I don't think it can be fixed. I would rather they gut the thing and do the knight bus from Harry Potter, that would be AMAZING.
Make the Fast and Furious into a stunt show like “Lights Motors Action” and replace Fear Factor and give us back BeetleJuice and Earthquake
Love that idea
They honestly could close it down and make it a walk through museum and it would be infinitely better
I think a quick bandaid is all this will be in order to get the complaints to quiet down a bit. The space should be used for something else eventually though, and really liked the idea of a night bus attraction!
It should’ve been a night bus ride in the beginning!! Harry Potter is way more popular and has a bigger following plus fast and furious is a dead IP
Scrap it! Love the Night Bus idea!
This is a very simple fix, just do the same thing that Kong does, put a giant animatronic Vin Diesel head at the end of the rid. The ride is instantly fixed and becomes one of the best at the park.
Been saying this for years. I’m not even kidding. It would be incredible lol
@@ThemeParkStop They could even make his breath smell like a Corona, for the full experience.
@@jimburd6134 Beer Breath does not sound as fun as Banana Breath lol

I actually don’t like the night bus idea cause the ride system itself sucks. There’s like no track and they can’t do anything with it
I went on this ride two weeks ago for the first time and it broke down.
A test track style ride or racing multi launch coaster is what they should have done.
What about the family tho?
Disney NEEDS to fix Runaway Railway as well
Damn... minion mayhem is not 3D anymore??? FFFor the love of Chrysler!!!!
F in the chat
Agreed 100%, especially with the 3D glasses issue and also the shortness of the ride. The thing is they can make the ride longer since you're mostly in one theater area, so that's good if they can make a new film....that's also not GTA 5 quality graphics
Maybe they can build a dual coaster in other part of the park and redo the ride.
dueling coaster would be perfect for fast and furious. call it turbocharged
I get trying to save the space and OG ride style, but no reason we weren’t in a super car hitting the NOS on some kinda of launch coaster. Universal has really become way too dependent on the “screen” aspect on everything
0:57-1:03 do you know if they're gonna replace Shrek 4-D with The Secret Life of Pets ride like the one here in California?
No, I think Shrek 4-D will be replaced with a Minions attraction. See our last video about rides closing to learn more.
@@ThemeParkStop is there any chance that any of the Orlando Universal parks will get The Secret Life of Pets ride? by any chance Epic Universe?
@@AziaXtremeNFinity Yes I think Orlando could get the Pets ride eventually, and maybe at Epic Universe.
As long as this ride remains on a bus that you sit on and watch a screen, it won't be good. Kong is a step up from Fast and Furious, but still not a good ride in my opinion.
agreed- kong sucks and so does F&F
Either bring back the original earthquake with modern upgrades, or get rid of the ride completely. If you arent a fast and the furious fan this ride is ranked among the worst in the world. Besides the ride looking cheesy, the min of actual ride isnt really that bad. To be honest kind of fun at the end, but like they said in the video, after I rode it for the first time, THATS IT??? Take your cues from disney; go ride the rise of the resistance.
They should turn it into a night bus ride from Harry Potter Harry Potter is a way more popular IP and has a bigger following, fast and furious is a dead IP
I bet Mummy will be re-themed to the original Universal Monsters mummy instead of the 90s film!
There are two options that I can see to fixing this, and both require removing the on-ride preshows:
1) The first screen building could house an actually exciting 3d animation, and the second could be an exposition scene that would explain the third and final exciting animation scene.
Better than VR helmets...
anyone know the name of the song throughout the video?
Sadly, this might be the worst theme park ride in all of Florida.
Scrap it all and just develop a Fast & Furious stunt show in the vain of Lights Motors Action.
I was never disappointed. I knew what we were getting. I would have liked the 3d glasses
How about a night bus ride from Harry Potter because Harry Potter is a way more popular IP plus fast and furious is a dead IP
I kinda like the ride. Its not a must ride everytime i go. And would of liked to see it in 3d but people on passholder page were bitchin about it. Like ohhh no not another 3d ride smh
Make the ride be like test track in Epcot
That’s what they should of done originally but whatever they do I really not want 3D we have enough of those
I think the problem with the ride is that everybody was expecting that and not a shitty rebrand of Kong that came out within a year or 2 of fast and furious.
So it's December now, any news on what they did to the ride for the refurbishment?
I had never actually thought about the 3D video elements (I wasn't aware that the Hollywoodversion used it) . Makes a lot more sense now 😅
Okay i am big fan of the fast&furious
I think they should put more detail and a ( little fast family friendly ride ) so people can enjoy it even small ones
@@ThemeParkStop it is rather gross. And regardless of whether or not it’s a good attraction. That’s no excuse for bad maintenance…..right ET?
They need to fix this ride quickly
The whole train idea gotta be fixed. People sitting in the middle could not enjoy the ride as the bars going up and down was blocking the view of the screens. And unlike Kong ride, where the action took place both side of the screen going back and forth, Supercharged there was 2 separate scenes going on and you were breaking your neck trying to catch both sides and also trying to see pass the bars.
So, if I am understanding you correctly... They plan to add Figment to this
Honestly, it wouldn’t hurt.
😂😂
They used the same amount of space as trest track, this ride literally could have been a cooler fast and furious version of test track instead there is more cue than ride
Gut it, start over. Make it Fast and Furious!
YES! I hope whatever minor changes come to the ride itself don't come at the cost of those great cast member interactions!!
So they're like the Jungle Cruise Skippers, now? (Making a very outdated attraction "hip" by making it a parody of itself?)
I think it would of been awesome if they had a rollercoaster ff ride. My idea would sitting in one of the cars from the movies the ride would launch you straight like a drag race and then coaster part would take over
Band-Aid??? That attraction needs a box of gauze!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is my favorite comment by far.
They should just tear it down, replace it with an animatronic ride based on a Dreamworks film like Kung Fu Panda. That would be awesome!
Last week, Kong was running without the vehicle making ANY MOVEMENTS and just spraying water and fans. It was HORRIBLE!
Board meeting: “how do we make this ride not SUCK ASS?!?!?” :D
I hated the 360 element of Kong, too. I’ve never been on this ride but I uhhhh don’t think i’m ever going to 😂
So did the update ever happen?
This ride has an absurdly long queue. Taking some of it away to put in a flat ride would be a big improvement to the park. The park is really lacking in smaller rides and non-screen rides. F+F bumper cars would be great.
I don’t think universal would sink that low and just do bumper cars lol, bumper cars are for carnivals not high tech theme parks
The only thing that could improve this ride would be a bulldozer
They should completely start over. This type of attraction only makes sense in the tour than a solo ride.
I think it will just go to 3D- otherwise they would need to cut a new CGI sequence and shoot all new segments with the original actors and that's never happening.
This franchise deserves a fast roller coaster. Period.
