My husband and I had our first date on Friday the 13th, exactly 17 years ago this Friday! We also got married on Friday 13th (in October so 10 months after our first date) its always a really special day for us to celebrate together!
I always love your videos. And I think it's great that you don't just post crochet content . Don't get me wrong I loooovvve ur crochet content but it's also relaxing to see some other things that I normally wouldn't see . Love you kayla 🖤🫶🏻
That’s awesome to hear! I could talk crochet all day but it’s been seriously fun to talk about my other likes in this world too🦇 Thanks again for hanging out!
Ikea has wonderful and inexpensive loose tea holders. I boil the water then pour the water into a china pot and put the loose tea in it - when the tea sinks to the bottom it is ready.
I'm super happy to see you using tlyarn crafts book. I've been watching her like crazy for a while. I saw you on a Facebook page and I'm loving your style so much!
we have a tea leaf restaurant in our town... it's just a huge open restaurant style tea house with a HUGE wall of tea leaves that you can smell. I'd suggest a tea room if you have one! My FAVORITE from them is Strawberry sencha.. super yummy! Also Friday the 13th is what started my love of horror so these two together are AWESOME for me
I'm a tea freak! Black breakfast tea is my thing! I love it super strong so I brew it longer than you should. Spot of milk and 1 sugar. Yorkshire tea is my go to. Ginger tea I like to take out the tea before the recommended time. Don't like it too strong. I love fruit teas and if it's a bag, I usually just leave it in. My favourite green tea is by Stash and it's Moroccan mint. Sooo good! Floral tea is not my thing! In the UK we have a company called Bird and Blend and they do a monthly subscription where you get a few different teas every month, something different to try! Maybe you can find something like that to try. Awesome kettle by the way!
The tea kettle will change your life for numerous reasons. I use mine for everything. Also great for pour over coffee. And I absolutely love Russian earl, grey black tea, very floral.
I have one almost identical to that. A stainless gooseneck electric kettle is amazing. You’ll love it. I miss my loose teas. I had a big phase in high school lol. But the cafe closed that had the best tea. :( I might have to jump back in :D
I love tea. I would love to have a fancy temperatured tea kettle, but since I mostly brew black teas and then pour a lot of tea into them my basic stovetop kettle works fine. I actually brew my tea in a french press and I like how the mesh strainer keeps ALL the tea leaves out of my final drink. I also have a single cup diffuser with really fine mesh that I use when I want single, hot cuppa. And now that I've heard 'apothecary' used in conjunction with tea I really want to find a bunch of apothecary jars to store my tea in. Of course, they'd then have to go in a dark cupboard or box because light is bad for tea.
I love Tunisian crochet so I will definitely have to check out that book. I am sending you positive vibes toward the progress of your blanket 😉 take care
this is the week leading up to the date that my late aunt who taught me to crochet was born since she was a friday the thirteenth baby .... i think i might reawatch the shining again since that was one of the films we loved to watch together and kinda toss out suggestions to the wife on how to deal with her husband when he goes crazy .... my aunt was definitely a fire cracker and while we did not watch a lot o scary movies together we always did watch the shining
That tea sounds good! I haven’t tried Tunisian crochet yet, but maybe this is the year I give it a go! I’m not into scary movies 😬 but I am totally enjoying your channel and vibe! ❤
I so enjoy watching your videos. I can't always make it yo the lives but I watch them after. This week I am working on my stitch and scream squares. Yes I said squares, plural. I'm making one for me and one for my daughter. Really enjoying the stitch so who knows what I will do with it after.
Wonderful beautiful lovely, I’m inspired! Same her3 with the teas, just winging it at the moment. Lovely tea package, skull tea infuser, loves. The red tin is beautiful. Crochet for the occasion has inspired me! Thank You. Now I thought to watch , ‘Saturday The Fourteenth’, to continue the celebrations, another day to crochet if only.
You could always double strand the stuff and bump the 4 up to a 5 or double up the 3 weight to make a 4. I do stuff like that all the time since my stash space is limited, plus I do lean towards blankets. As for what I'm doing, I'm trying to keep it low key since my rescue dog is in treatment for heartworms and has hit the final stage. She has to stay super calm while the meds work their magic. Also her first blanket I made to snuggle on the couch overheated her, so now I'm having to do a Take 2 with a cotton blend. Blueberry colors of course because she loves the silly things and her color is purple.😅
I’m sure TL Yarn Crafts will be happy to hear you like her book…she’s on RUclips! I found you both at the same time. I am trying to knit and crochet the same things: two kerchief scarves using Caron cakes. I’m not a fan of acrylic, but these are for donating, so I feel less bad…
I'm so jello again. Yes, I know a Whittard shop in London for tea blends, but they don't have skull infusers! I am curious how quickly and badly it gets stained? My current basic tea is terrible for staining mugs but I find the tanning comes off easier from a glass mug. Otherwise, they used to sell very good and practical cup and teapot sized infusers (although only the lid of their own pots would fit on top perfectly. I find tanin doesn't stick to glass quite so hard, but in any case, washing by hand works best. For really stubborn stains put some clothes washing powder and hot water and let it soak before gently washing it with a scrubby. Rinse well. (Washing powder also works well on pans with burn food.)
I’m interested to know if it stains now. So far I’ve used it all day and it’s held up. I have been hand washing it though. Wasn’t sure if it’d work through the dishwasher.
I'm going to watch my favourites Friday 1 Friday 2 The New Blood Jason takes Manhatten Jason X maybe Jason goes to Hell Yes I know Jason X is absolutely horrible but Hodder is my favorite Jason.
What Tunisian Crochet hook set do you have? Did I miss it? I liked the book and the yarn and am considering trying Tunisian this year... I'd love for my first hook with wire set to be a good one (that I wouldn't want or need to replace if I love it)
Give the Denise tunisian hooks a try! I absolutely love mine. They are cables and have a nice sharp, inline style hook. Plus you can buy more cables and stops if you need different lengths.
I personally use Lantern Moon. They are super smooth black wood with gold accents. They are also done by the same company as Knitter’s Pride so cords are interchangeable with any from knitter’s pride. I recommend looking for swivel cords, both Knitter’s Pride and Chiagoo sell swivel cords and they are great because your work doesn’t twist.
Thank you all so much... I took a screenshot, and when I'm ready to give one a try in a few months, I will look into all 3 mentioned. PS I love the Oh My Lanta name! That's great! Lol! 😆
Tea takes so much more know-how than people think. I really need to get a new tea basket... I lost part of the one I was using and I'm really sad... it looked like a fishy.

That’s so special🖤🖤🖤
Friday the thirteenth is one of my favorite days. Love them and the movies. Have a great day!!!🖤
I am always so impressed by your good posture while you crochet. I am an absolute gremlin when I knit or crochet.
Fellow gremlins unite! 😂
@@rachels1922 Gremlin Squad, lol!
I love Brutaliteas💞💞💞
Krampistachio is my favorite
Butterfly tea! Add lemon it goes from blue to purple.. so cool!!!
We like Ahmed tea. My favorite is raspberry. My husband likes Earl Gray.

Yes! We love tea. A good brand that I adore also is Davids tea. Tons of flavors. Also Pukka. 💜
David’s tea has some seriously cool seasonal teas!
Omg i love this soooo much
Very true.Silicone and loose tea leaves do not go together very well.
Ikea has wonderful and inexpensive loose tea holders. I boil the water then pour the water into a china pot and put the loose tea in it - when the tea sinks to the bottom it is ready.
Vanilla rooibos is my favourite type of tea. 10/10 would recommend x
definitely do not recommend using silicone tea infusers, they tend to let the loose tea out plus mesh ones are better to ensure optimal tea infusion
Thanks for the advice🎃
@@AltKnots not a problem I've tried a silicone cat tea infuser and although it was super cute it wasn't as good as the metal sphere ones 😿
@@AltKnots if you decide to change your infuser just put little lights in these skull ones as tree decor 😉☠️
I'm gonna need to check out that tea company- they sound right up my alley!
I'm super happy to see you using tlyarn crafts book. I've been watching her like crazy for a while. I saw you on a Facebook page and I'm loving your style so much!
It’s an incredible book and Toni is an absolutely amazing teacher🎃
I love those so awesomely cool

Yes the electric kettle is the best for tea
I’m really enjoying it!
I've been drinking more tea lately and I would love to try Brutaliteas!
Totally check it out! I’m going to try their Bananabelle next🤣
You need one that you can set up the temperature, it would be the best for different tea
Toni’s book and all of her patterns are amazing!!!!!❤❤❤❤
The tea kettle will change your life for numerous reasons. I use mine for everything. Also great for pour over coffee. And I absolutely love Russian earl, grey black tea, very floral.
Welcome to the tea world!! I recommend HappyTurtleTea! They make nerdy teas based off of books and tv shows and they are super nice 😊
Chaiday the 13th is so yummy! Chai is my favorite, it's ( to me at least) the perfect ot drink to wind down at the end of the day and relax!

Toni's book is wonderful! Now it's also available in German :)

Lose leaf tea is the best! You should check for local tea smith. They can make a blend just for you.
I’m on it! Thanks for the suggestion 🎃
