- Our favorite family farm starts the 2020 corn harvest with their trusty 1977 Gleaner M2 combining and their Vintage Allis Chalmers tractors running equipment. The D-15 runs the corn dryer, the 185 pulls the carts and the D-17 runs the auger. Lots of wind on a nice day with a full moon at night.
Same year and model as my combine. Wish me was a hydro 😆 but it gets the job done. Awesome video.
Excellent! No music, no talking, Perfect! All AC Action. Love it!
I ll second that!
So many memories. Great editing.
Sharp looking old M2 and 185. Looks like the 4 row head is a little to easy for the big M2, didn’t even see her smoking black. You could spot our old M2 in the field and tell just how good the crop was by the smoke trail. Really miss the times on the farm. Thanks for sharing the videos.
💘 these videos.. "You can take the boy out of the country but you can't take the country out of the boy!!"..
First corn shelling video I’ve seen yet that was worth watching! Gleaner is a damn good combine! Owned two of em
Nice m2! Good to see run
15:35, cool shot with the moon in the background.
Love the intro
Thank You!
We had a CA and a WD45 on our farm. Out of seven children three of us got Allis fever. Between us we have a WD,WD45, and an old Allis manure spreader that just keeps working. Thank you very much for making these videos and letting us watch those wonderful machines at work. Stay safe you all.
The 1 (as of now) dislike must be from someone with absolutely no idea of what happens on a daily basis on a real farm.
Go Gleaner GO!
now theres two people with no idea what a farm is
Hallo AC Fans.
Very nice Video !
No Music . Original Farmwork.
Nice greetings to you from
Bert from north west germany .
I' am a dairy farmer with 240acres and 90cows and calf and heifers.
We know the AC tractors only on pictures and RUclips.
We are John Deere drivers with Krone .Pöttinger and Claas hay and silage machinery .
God bless AC Fans !
Those Gleaners always put out the cleanest sample of any combine on the market, looks like that ones no different. That one's in great shape. Thanks for the look in, best regards from Indiana.
I used to run an E and it also put out a great sample, especially in soybeans and oats. My L2 is a little more finicky but the sieves are worn out and that makes it harder to set but still I never get docked. Now my R52 has the cleanest sample I have ever had from a combine.
Woo another J and L videos update
great job leaner meaner gleaners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My grandpa had a Gleaner M bean special. He also had an AC 160 tractor. I've got many great memories running both . It's great to see your kids involved and carrying on the family business and tradition. Thank you for sharing.
As some say: it gets the job done! Must be very low average machine costs per acre and year! Would say, the owner does it right!
It works, that counts!
At least it is a very low environmental damage for the planet because of the long time use of its resources!
My MF 440 is from 1979...
The sound of the 185 pulling up to the combine with the gravity box brought back memories.
Thanks for posting !! I grew up on Diary Farm and we a Gleaner Combine with a 4 row corn head as well. Memories.
Who said you need flash brand new class 10 combine? I wouldn’t say no but love seeing n driving classic Gleaner combines. Awesome vid👍🌽❄️
Wow! I haven’t seen one of those batch dryers since the ‘70s. They did a great job, just slow.
Ran M2 and M3s for years but parts and a decent flex head were hard to come by over here so ended up buying a JD 9500
Thanks for the awesome action packed film.
Awesome video
Love the cleaner combines I had a f2 and like the m2 also.you can drive 5 miles a hour with the 4 row head have to bump on speed on header and combine will even do a better job.
love it we have a 9550 to much computers on it very temperamental
At about 15:45, sounded like a slip clutch popping.
The co op machine was that for drying?
Yep that's the dryer
Good video enjoy seeing others running similar equipment.
Look at that BTO with the flashing beacon!
What was the moisture going into and coming out of the dryer?
18.2 going in, 14.5 coming out
I wonder why the flow of corn into the grain tank was so uneven? Starts at around 8:04 in the video.
I think he went through a low spot there
I wondered the same thing. Wondered if he has some missing or damaged paddles on his elevator chain.
Good looking sample
I drove a L2 cutting wheat 🌾 with. 24
I drove a L2 cutting wheat 🌾 with a 24 ft header.
Is that a wide 36 or narrow 30 ? I was wanted up grade to a M butt woulder if a 4/30 fit
30 I think
I ran 4-30s on my m2 before I got a 6 row
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ video
How many bushel per acer were y’all harvesting and what was your moisture level!
Moisture was 18.2 before drying Bushels per acre I'm not sure I'll find out...
@@JandLVideos I was at 15%. At 230 bushel per acer this year which was a good year but crap price
@@michaelwittmann5103 about 200 per acre in that field
Magnificent!
