This was the world's first modular car, as it could literally be anything you wanted it to be. A coupe, a convertible. a station wagon, or a pickup truck with or without a cap!!!!!!
Thank you SO much for uploading this! I purchased a new 88 Pulsar NX SE (1.8 liter) in Feb 1988. It ran 8.4 second 0-60's all day long and 16.7 @ 83mph quarter miles which was on par with the CRX Si at the time. I loved that car! 👍 Been looking for a MW video!
I had the first gen model. Loved it. May have been low horsepower but it was a very cool little car to get around in and it was fun despite only have 69 hp. Wish someone would make cars like this again. Nissan sure as hell isn't going to.
Well… I guess we can confidently say that it didn’t fair well. Nice flash back and funny to hear the pro’s and cons, engine is not descriptive enough?! LoL!
I miss zooming around in my little pulsar the xe with the automatic sucked the SEE was a blast as long as you weren’t granny shifting but the torque steer could get you in trouble and it’s funny. It barely made 100 hp now we have four wheelers and side-by-side’s that have that and more. I forgot just how cheap vehicles were in the 80s they were twice as cheap in the 60s and now in 2023 they’re like 20 times higher. Thanks to this crooked ass government we got democrats and republican.
This was my first car after graduating college in 1987 - had it for 8 years. Shopping for one now for nostalgia's sake.
@markveals2915 Just listed a unicorn 87 twin cam stick with the only complete Erebuni aero kit and sportbak - on hagerty listing site.

I always wanted one high school in the 2003-2004 school year. I know it was getting older then, but I like the styling of the Pulsar.
Man, this car was so cool.

Great looking car!! Those were the days Nissan could run forever!!
Also, I remember seeing one of the Sportbacks back in the 80s and thinking it was really cool.

My first new car purchase in when I was in the army.
My friend had one of these in Highschool in the 90s it's was really slow.
In the modern era, nothing than a turbo swap can't solve 👍🏻
I took one over a mountain and lived. Only way was I didn’t have my seat belt on and and came out on the way down. 😂

The 84 hp charger 2.2 did 0-60 in 9 seconds.
Didn't the base engine have 69 horsepower? Lol.
Would you want to sale it
Rather raunchy
Not great cars. Weird, for sure!
