Jungkook's glazed sweet potatoes and Taehyung's squirrel locked in the garden will forever be iconic.
V is a random person but he knows a lot of things that other people never thought about. Just like the conversation with RM. We know that RM is smart but he still asks V about Chickens and Peacocks. And what was most surprising was that V's answer about Peacock Chickens being related was actually correct. Both belong to the same order and family, so they are closely related😂

So it has nothing to do with the environment he grew up in but himself as a person

Also about the counting, Koreans have two different counting systems that is; 1)the native korean counting system which I heard you guys attempt at the beginning, "hana,dul, ses..." which is for general counting and only reaches 99. 2)Sino-Korean e.g "il, i, sam..." that you heard them count backwards in this episode which is used for everything from counting money, time, dates, etc, and goes beyond 100.
It's genuinely confusing but this is a great explanation. My favorite thing is that to say the time you use Native Korean for the hour and Sino-Korean for the minute. 😂

Regarding V and Jin fight, I think they've become more close and more loving to each other than ever after that incident. MOre cooking in RUN BTS all are funny scenes in the kitchen. I hope you all post the RUN episode here on RUclips.

Taehyung is such an interesting character, he can wander around looking like he's really busy whilst doing exactly nothing. He's my spirit animal 😂
There's a funny yet sad (because Yoongi says he was just eating to live ta that point) paragraph in the official book where Seokjin talks about walking into the dorm for the first time and seeing Yoongi drinking a chicken breast, grape juice and banana smoothie and going "Nope, not on my watch. 🤣🤣(paraphrased).
At the very very beginning, we're talking late 2012 into 2013, Seokjin did cook and organised a lot of the chores in the dorm, but then as they got busier, started traveling and the company made money, they had staff to help.
But yes, both Seokjin and Yoongi are very good cooks, as is Jungkook! Hoseok is also very underrated in the kitchen. Jimin too but he says he never has the time to do it properly. Namjoon has said multiple times that he admires people who can cook, he's in awe of what goes into creating a meal.
Run BTS is like team building exercises with staff and BTS. They learn so much from these episodes, they have fun and get to do things they dont have time for, just to be together. Its such a good way to get to know them, for them to feel normal, and for them to learn how to work well together.
To give a little context about Jin and Yoongi's rol as chefs for the group: during the first years that was something that Jin mostly did. Yoongi was a good cook but Jin was seen doing 90% of the cooking. He was sadly diagnosed with many food allergies (like garlic and potatoes, which are very prominent in korean dishes) so he started feeling discouraged to cook (if I remember correctly he talked about this in other episode of Run BTS that was about cooking too or it could have been a live, I'm not sure). Yoongi stepped up as the main cook on the group at that point and he has been filling that rol since then. Jin cooked a couple of times in In The Soop but not as much as he would have years ago.
As where they got their experience, both their older brothers have (or had at some point) restaurants. Yoongi said he learned from his brother. I'm not sure if Jin said the same but he has obvios influences from his family.

Jin didn't actually learn to cook until BTS. I think they all freaked out a little. Almost every trainee does. Simply because they don't have mom and dad there to do all that stuff for them any more. Jin said he had to figure out how to cook, do laundry, clean, etc. once he became a trainee. I'm sure they were on the phone to family a LOT in the younger years asking "How do I make (fill in a popular Korean dish here)??????" Cooking, really, is simple, though. Plus, internet - recipes are everywhere. I still know 12 year olds who cook better than me...I also know 40 year olds who can't boil an egg. I think they ALL started at various stages of "not knowing how to boil WATER" (never mind the egg) when BTS first formed. Instant meals are easy, but to cook...it does take a BIT more work. LOL At least they all mastered it eventually...well, except - MAYBE - for Joonie and Tae, though at least Tae did get some hands-on training in "Jinny's Kitchen".

@@MystiqueRisingSun I think he knew how to cook simple dishes even before BTS, bec in his family I think it was like a tradition to cook or prep a meal together and his mom taught him. He loves to eat even before so he's into cooking. So yeah, maybe ur right he learned how to cook more while he was still a trainee but he didn't moved in to their dorm until a year before their debut bec his home was just near. So when he moved in, he took on the role to cook atleast some proper meal to the members bc none of other members h😮ad time or tired & Suga wasn't into cooking yet then as much as now. Lol. As per Jin, Suga just blended chicken breast & some ingredients in to eat like a protein shake 😂
@@danievasquez3394 In fairness, I think they have all talked about the bigger Korean holiday's and being in the kitchen with their moms/aunts...older sisters for some...etc. when the food was being made. I know Jimin, V, Kook, and Hobi have talked about it, at least.
It comes down to...who paid how much attention when they would wander in and watch what was going on? 😆
I know Kook has admitted to learning because of the older ones - especially since he was the youngest - and I think out of all of them, he can probably cook the...I don't want to say "best", but...I do think he at least knows the basics of more dishes than any of them at this point, simply from watching all of the others/mimicking what they'd do in the kitchen. Plus, we all know he has a serious addiction to RUclips tutorials. LOL 🤣

Jin and V's argument. This is not even a quarrel, but simply a misunderstanding.
The guys said that they quarreled a lot, but they solved the problem immediately. And most importantly all together. Their bond only grew stronger after it. This proves how much they love each other. BTS are not friends - BTS are family and destiny! This is what makes their team special💜

Oh you guys reached episode 20! The Squirell Trapped In A Garden became a classic inside joke actually. Its hilarious.
It's actually after this that the episodes really start to pick up and become funny. They start to get really funny and the production value starts to get bigger too. Like you'll see more intricate games and stuff. You guys will gradually see the change from now on.
In fact they never intended for Run BTS to become this big. They were originally just planning 10 shorts episodes or something. But it became such a hit with the fans that they kept doing it.
And then this episode was actually right before they blew up in the US. Like early 2017. So after that RUN BTS became bigger cuz the fandom really grew big and global. New fans all loved to watched the show and you can really see that.
The boys themselves grew much more comfortable as well and overtime developed not only great variety show skills but also lots of inside jokes from the show that became classics among them and the fandom.
And the success of RUN BTS paved the way for all other groups. BTS was the first to do something like this, after this every damn Kpop group started doing their own online variety shows. So this show means a lot to BTS and Armys but also opened new doors to the way Kpop groups giving free content for their fandoms.

There are 2 number systems that are used in Korean language.
1) The Native Korean numbers - This starts with 일 (il) 이 (i) 삼 (sam) which are 1,2,3 and so on. These are used for general counting like when counting up to 99. It can also be used to count the number of people, hours, things, ages, etc.
2) The Sino Korean numbers - This starts with 하나 (hana) 둘 (dul) 셋 (set) which are also 1,2,3 and so on. These are used for writing dates, money, minutes, phones, adresses, numbers above 100, etc.

Yes please! Up ☝💜💜💜 I loved that episode. It was sooo emotional towards the end.. I could totally understand what she felt like and I legit teared up. It was just sooo precious. She represented the fandom soo well and they were both soo comfortable with each other. Many other reaction channels are not aware of it but I hope these guys react to it! To see Tae hang out with an army is such a rare and wholesome thing 💜

Suga started cooking after jin.
Jin was the first official cook of bangtan in the debut days. Then suga came along(in the kitchen) & now all members except tae and joon can cook. Atleast to live.
Joon finds it difficult to make instant noodles and tae is well tae.
FYI! Jungkook's potato dish was actual sweet potatoes, with glaze. They were saying 고구마 go-gu-ma, which is the word for sweet potato.
Except for the fact that they're yams.

There are 2 different types of Number System in Korea. The Native Korean Number which we usually heard (hana, dull, set 1,2,3) and Sino Korean Number (like Chinese counting) and that's the (il, i, sam or 1,2,3)
The Native Korean Number is 1 up to 99 only. While the Sino Korean Number 1 up to millions and so on. If you hear them used different types of counting it's because they used these 2 types of Number System depends on counters and classifiers.
For example, they use the Native Korean Numbers (hana, dul, set or 1, 2, 3) if they're counting people, animals, a pair or couple, a bunch of flowers, slices, items or unit, the age, mostly for counting things or piece of something.
While the Sino Korean Number (il, i sam or 1, 2,3) they use it for counting year, month, days, minutes, seconds, floor (in a building), dollar, pounds, kilos, miles and money.
It's really confusing especially if you're not Korean. I'm also not Korean I just learned it from the Korean Language Center I attended.

the glazed sweet potato is like a street food here, its easy to make, just cut the sweet potato, coat it in sugar, then fry it. Dont put the sugar while frying the sweet potatoes, it wont stick 😂

Daniel. I am going to teach you something! I'm really proud of the way you've picked up on annyeonghaseyo, but it’s really used mostly for hello! When you use it at the end of the episode to say goodbye, it's similar but a little different! 🙂 There are two different versions. One is used for when you are leaving and the person you're saying goodbye to is staying and one that is used for the person you're saying goodbye to is leaving and you are staying. For simplicity sake, I'll teach you the second one since I view it as BTS are leaving (the episode is ending) and you are staying!
The word is 안녕히 가세요 or annyeonghigaseyo. It’s very similar to annyeonghaseyo except there is an added hi sound in the middle and it ends with g/kaseyo instead of haseyo.
So. Annyeong-hee-kae-say-o. That’s kind what it sounds like.
Annyeonghigaseyo. Not sure if you know but ㄱ in Korean takes on a g/k sound so when you say the gaseyo the g kinda sounds like both a g and k sound. At least in this instance. lol. If that makes sense.

anyway there are two Korean numbers ; sino Korean system and Korean native counting system.
Sino-Korean numbers are used to express dates, money, minutes and seconds, addresses, and phone numbers that's it.
Jin used sino Korean counting backward cuz he was counting seconds Sam(3) ee(2) il(1).
On the other hand, the Native Korean numbers system is used for counting things and people, age , time (hours), and for counting in general!

JK's plate with the sweet potatoes was the real potatoes. He put a lot of sugar in the pan for a glaze and then cooked them for too long, so the glaze hardened and stuck the potatoes to the plate. It was JK's reaction to the stuck potatoes that made the situation hilarious.
Jin is an amazing cook/chef, Suga is great cook too!!! Jin and his brother have/had their own restaurant in Korea!!!!

First : 1 (hana), 2 (dul), 3 (set) is original numbers from Korea
Second : 1 (il), 2 (i), 3 (sam) is sino or hanja number
They use the numbers for different situation, example for watch
If you want to say the exact minutes they will use hanja number, and original number for hour.
Ex = 1.30 : han si sam sib bun
re : si means hour, bun means minutes, sam sib means 30

JK made Korean candied sweet potatoes, peel potatoes, cut into chunks soak in col water for 30 min dried w/ paper towels. Deep fry them in another frying pan add oil ( enough to coat bottom of pan) 1/3 cup sugar to pan melt, when melted add cooked potatoes mix then serve

I don't know if you ever had fried calamari, but that is squid. Fried squid is actually really good, you should try it at Carrabba's Italian Grill or Longhorn etc.

Korea has two different number systems so that's why you'll hear them count differently.

First is sino korean which u guys often heard them count, hana 1, dul 2, set 3, net 4, daseot 5, yeosot 6, ilgop 7 etc, and korean numbers which the one they were using here, il 1, ii 2, sam 3, sa, o 5, yuk 6, chill 7 etc. Both were used in different condition. For example, if u want to say their ages, u used sino korean

Jin is their official cook, especially in their earlier days. Suga and JK can cook as well. Well, these days all of them can probably cook.
I think this is far back enough that Jin was the good good cook. Now, most of them can cook at least enough to feed themselves (sometimes). JK and Suga can cook really well now… There was a time when they just couldn’t, and Jin looked after their meals
Difference between teams. Both get member who is bad at cooking. Team JK gives him cooking work of some sort. Team Suga gives food to eat and odd jobs. Love this thank you

To explain the potatoes stuck to the plate that jk was throwing around. Those are glazed sweet potatoes so it has a lot of sugar syrup on it. Then it cooled which made the ingredient all harden together bc the sugar. And it stuck too well to the plate that he can toss it around and spin it without spilling.
