That last fight was a tie. I want a rematch xD Also the last Archon with 1 hp was probably sweating bricks. BW Archons were so much scarier imho. Butt naked aliens in raging energy balls that wiped everything.
BW archons also attacked around 30% faster. Their attack speed in SC2 was slowed down to make up for the better pathing and damage bonus to Biological.
SC:BW Archons were comparably more fragile, because Psi Shields took full damage from both Explosive and Concussive damage types, so units like Hydralisks just melted them down; meanwhile, SC2 Archons aren't affected by bonus damage vs. Light or vs. Armored. Still, I agree that SC:BW Archons felt a lot stronger than they do in SC2.
@@Taznak I'd forgotten about that, true. Protoss shields were incredibly weak in SC1/BW because they always took full damage from all sources, and archons were all shields. Because of the way the damage systems were completely reworked in SC2 archons lost that particular weakness and became tanky, another reason for their DPS nerf.
I liked the tank one, it felt like a real zerg versus terran scenario. The terran units are super tough and effective, but there are JUST SO MANY ZERG!!!!!! Even if its not cost efficient, it doesnt matter, because in the end they wear you down.

How about a round where there is one of teach unit type from each faction (not counting heroes) and we can see how well the AI performs with one of every unit in a battle.
I wonder if it's actually more fair for buildings to have these fights 3/3. Most don't really get armor upgrades, so they go in with that inherit disadvantage. But they're also inherently more cost-effective...
Can you do ambush battles? A large ling force vs a smaller mixed army, then a smaller ling force that unburrows around the mixed force? It would be interesting to see the difference, and you have already done battles where one force is surrounded.
Would like to see some battles where the two types of units are mixed together (for example marine-marauder). Also, everybody gangsta 'till the cannon starts walking.
Might be interesting to see the same troops on both sides but who comes first reversed. Or the same fight but with the positions swapped. Would the marine-marauder have had a chance if swapped?
Unit positioning is important though. If the archons would have been in front of the stalkers the fight wouldn't have even been close, the archons had to go around the stalkers. It's the same with the marines, they should have been in the rear so the concussive shells from the marauders could slow the zerglings down. The roaches were in the correct spot, behind the zerglings.
I have to admit i was a little suprised i got 4/4 on this though the tanks had me going by the mid point i was full on shouting "WILL THEY GO ALL THE WAY?!?!?"
That will be a lot of Ultras, even with surrounding. After all 3rd rank Shock Division not only have bigger range of splash damage, but they also stun units who get shot

Right
The moving Photon Cannons were unexpected and really fun

Hacks! That last battle between Banshee and Cannons should have been a draw! They didn't count the last shot of the cannon!
its always been, if a unit is destroyed so their shot ... its bullshit ^^
At least there are no stakes, so it's not a big deal if the referee incorrectly reports the outcome

I think it’s better to move all the hydralisk near the tanks then attack the tanks. The tanks will be doing splash damage against itself.
