Now this was a genuinely brilliant story. No repetitive drivel, no continuous use of the word indomitable, or spirit. Just a really good entertaining Sci fi tale that wasn't like anything else I've seen before. Well done and thanks 😊. More please 🙏 😂
it is still a HFY. Humans beat/ take revenge against aliens on a loop. sadly I've listened to all the other sci-fi , stories on you tube. one author i really like. is PE ROWE rarely are there even aliens so its quite different. he has 2 main story lines one near future "Julian" stories. one far future "Misfit" stories. and many random stories. he makes one a week and they are almost always amazing. Sadly I've finished all his stories twice - but if you want great writing and narrating he does both. and he just launched a 24/7 channel. Sci-Fi Audiobook Radio
One of the best lines in any story I have seen yet! "The Creature radiated the coldness only achieved by a lifetime in government service or waitressing" Added: I made it to the end. Great story and wonderfully good start to finish! The last few paragraphs were the best of it all!
Waitressing ? Rotfl hahahahahahahahaha I had a letter friend. It was before computers and he was one of my pen pals. He wrote his favorite things were cats and waitresses.
Good story. RUclips is full of mass produced generic AI stories. It's a real treat to run across an inventive well conceived story. It being well produced is a bonus.
Thanks very much. This author has a real knack for telling a story. And I'm pleased you like the production. It took a while to put it together, considering it started as text on a screen. The author himself told me that the scene art was very similar to what he envisioned for the story, which I'll take!
That's an epic revenge story. I think the part which I liked the most was how all the "humans" and Beacon knew that what they did was evil, but they didn't stop. Sometimes you just have to do some evil acts, but always keep in mind that excuses and reasons do not make a wrong right, they just enable it. Doing justice often means doing a required evil/wrong.
This was superior to the vast majority of sci-fi found on RUclips.. excellent story, I would love to see more. A sequel.. a prequel. There was just enough mystery introduced to flicker the imagination.
That transmission at the beginning was great. Dark and dramatic, somehow without being trite, and incredible foreshadowing, all rolled into one excellently narrated package. The whole story is 10/10. Will listen again
👍🏽 Now this is what your subscribers are looking for, quality story telling. This yarn was simply brilliant. No annoying AI with the whole “cut and paste” portions of repeating dialogue. No insufferable drivel about the “destiny of this or that,””hopes and dreams,” blah, blah, blah, etc.; all examples of lazy AI word-count filler with whole sections repeating themselves. Oh and let’s not forget the terrible mispronunciations. This story had none of that and was so very refreshing. So…, once again, this story and its narration were outstanding. Thank you.
And this, boys and girls, is why intelligence gathering missions are important. Just because the other guy seems to have nothing to fight back with, doesn't mean they don't. Worse yet, in this case, sometimes the little guy you're smashing today, has a big guy who helped set him up, and they're going to be quite peeved if you mess with their friend.
Not bad. I started reading Fantasy and ScFi when I was around twelve years old. It got to the point in My late teens I would often read two to three books a week. Books , not short stories. As time moved on and the call of adulthood , along with the responsibilities of life fell upon Me , I had forgotten how much I enjoyed reading these stories. I am now retired. L live a quiet life. I happened to discover these stories recently. Thankfully in audible form. You see, growing old one sometimes begins to lose eyesight. Anyway , Thanks to all of You who contribute to My new found pleasure. Sincerely ,
Bravo. This clearly took a lot of effort... accurately depicting characters, setting the right mood, editing the script to accommodate machine pronunciation. You clearly strive far beyond merely copy-pasting the story into TTS. You actually took advantage of this medium and *_added_* to the story.
Thanks. I worked quite hard to get the pitch of the scene art right for this story. Not many people even comment on it, so thank you. Another story arc by this author comes out tomorrow. Human Altered. Similar art and another great story.
this is super well written and the narrator is very good as well. conveys emotion and creates the atmosphere well and clearly. such a pleasant change from the normal AI narrators that are robotic and dull which takes away from the story. I'd say its up there with argo squirrel with narration level almost difficult to tell if its an AI or not by far the best ive heard
@ Thank You for choosing writing as either a profession or hobby. You have a great gift for story telling. I’ve actually listened to this story several times and find it to be an amazing tale of Justice Served. ‘It’s a nice door’ cracked me up each time he said it. "Isn't that nice of me? .... Run." LOL Holy f'n hell this was a really well written story, and also very well story-boarded for the video. Great job on both counts! :)
Remarkable, unique story! Very fresh plotline, so well written and presented. As solid as any Sci-Fi story by Asimov or the other oldtime greats of Sci-Fi. Kudos to you! Thank you for sharing with us. 😁👍

Nice to see a SciFi where the humans get to space after going through a cyberpunk like body morphing technology phase. It's always odd to hear a story set 1000 years in the future but all the humans are just modern day humans, often with typical modern day accents and countries too (for some reason many writers think the US will still be around hundreds of years from now)
38:10 that's just a centrifuge. If you want a blender, you need an agitator to stir the contents independently of the walls of the ship, e.g. tossing the contents into the air like a salad, repeatedly vacuuming them off the floor with cleaning robots or snow blowers, or distributing them via the ventilation system... Bon appetit.

A fun thing about explosive depressurization. You only move by as much air is behind you and the aperture. Otherwise, there's nothing to push you towards it. You don't go from against the opposite wall to out the aperture. You just boil. You don't boil from heat, either. The phase from liquid to vapor carries heat away, just like sweating. So, you boil cold. Also, with no air to take the heat away, the heat depends on radiation to spend it, not conduction. So it's slow. I imagine quite painful for the first few seconds. There's a reason freeze dried candy looks exploded.
Can we all agree that humanity needs a "Beacon" like entity to go after the greedy billionaires (and the minions who enact their policies) determined to deny us healthcare, food, education and peace?
The last one was lucky in a sense... Being capable of immortality can likely find ways to keep you alive for a very long time, possibly... Forevermore.
i assume the race that had thjeir planet decimated at the start were part of the humans? part 1 and 2 is kind of confusing cause no race is given face to the other
It is explained. They were humans who wanted to go back to an agrarian lifestyle. Minimal technology in an every day existence. They only had the tech that was left to them by those who brought them there and a sentient AI watcher installed on the planets moon to report if anything happened to them. They had moved somewhat past that basic agrarian lifestyle to advance almost to being space faring again in the thousands of years since they first arrived. It was why the aliens destroyed them as flimsy as an excuse as it was.
Yeah, as they said, it was a colony of humans who chose to live a primitive lifestyle in memory of how humanity got its start. Beacon was an AI meant to monitor and protect the colony.
They destroyed a human colony that had been there thousands of years. It started as a colony of people who wanted to go back to an agrarian lifestyle and in the thousands of years of being there had advanced as a society to being on the verge of regaining spacefaring status all on their own.
I very much doubt such a transcendent civilization would not at least put up some warning beacons and where to "call" for information. Let alone have one of their own present but unable to act. Still, I very much enjoyed.
The inhabitants wanted to live an agrarian life far from the highly advanced society of their modern humanity. Also the beacon took no action to intervene because the inhabitants themselves had banished him to the moon with instructions not to intervene under any circumstances.
