Docu: Breathtaking Skydivers Emergency Landing in Water - 1st Exercise Water Rescue with Restube

At Windweek 2024, the water rescue team of the Ingenbohl fire department was showing its impressive skills in two spectacular exercises on August 10th and 11th. In this video you are there during the thrilling show and enjoy all the action up close.

The scenario of the 1st exercise

2 parachutists fell into Lake Lucerne in front of Brunnen. The alerted sea rescue service was mobilized within a few minutes on board the water rescue and firefighting boat SAR1 (Search and Rescue One) and rescued the crashed parachutists. A Restube automatic was immediately thrown to each of the two parachutists. The Restube automatic is a throwing body which inflates a buoy with 75N in just a few seconds when it comes into contact with water. This allowed the two parachutists to stay afloat until they were completely rescued.
The professional rescue buoy from the Restube brand stems from the official Restube supplier in Switzerland: First-Responder.ch. Specialized in training and equipment for emergencies, First-Responder.ch GmbH works closely together with the Ingenbohl firefighting department's water rescue unit.
Basically, first responders are those who arrive first after an accident to provide first aid. They are therefore familiar with basic measures such as resuscitation and the use of a defibrillator (Basic Life Support with AED). Because of their short reaction time, trained procedures and the necessary emergency equipment it can be made possible for a critically injured person to survive.
