Stick the two ends of the purple thing into the center of your bobbin then stick it that through the center of your mini cone of matching thread! Keeps them together nicely and the loop at the top doesn’t allow the bobbin to fall through!
I was just on the Pelion project site you can now buy directly from them. They also have a product guide for I believe $22.99 for purchase. You probably already know this information, but after watching this video and I saw it on the site thought about you. Have a Sewtastic day!
The purple thing is a bobbin holder. You put the bobbin on it and then put it in the threads hole for the matching thread. Keeps bobbins with the matching color.
Put the bobbin that matches the thread on the top loop and stick the long part into the center of the spool of thread. Always have the right bobbin with your thread!
Hi Becky, Always enjoy your channel. You are making some really cute quilts. The item is a bobbin holder you put down in the hold of a spool of thread. This keeps your bobbins with it's thread. Thanks for sharing all of your haul and the wonderful ideals you have for the T-Shirts. Enjoy and keep quilting...Alberta from Southern, MD....😊😊😊
I was a little slow watching your video this week. You said that you were going to make bowl cozies. I made 30 cozies for Christmas gifts one year and Wrap-n-zap is great but super expensive for what you get. Plus you don't know how they will be used once they are gifted. I had this amazing lady at the craft store help me. She recommended "100 Warm" It is all cotton and the scrim is 100% cotton so no issues melting in the microwave. And a queen size quilt will make about 25 cozies. It is slightly lighter weight than the Wrap N Zap but I found it made it easier to trim out the seams and to turn it. I also use it in hot pads for the same reason, I am always putting them in the microwave. So Cotton fabric, Cotton Thread, and cotton batting with (100% Cotton) Scrim. No issues with melting!! I don't know how many you need to make but I hope this helps.
@@PowerToolsWithThread Since the subject was in part about "substitutions" That are basically the same as more expensive name brands, this fit in pretty nicely.
I wasn’t in the market for anything but I couldn’t resist that farm panel pattern. I have a great granddaughter who will be two in May so I think that will be a perfect quilt for her to learn all about farm animals. Thanks for all of the information.
I use the soft n stable and i bought 2 bolts of that stuff you have and I can tell you its not the same stuff unless it has changed over the last couple years. My friend and I about went crazy trying to get it to look as nice and work in our bags. I'll stick with the soft n stable.
I loved that Ark panel and backing so I bought it from them, told her that I’d seen it on your podcast. She remembered you of course and found it all. Just got it and might get a few more. It’s adorable, thanks❤️
Becky, you are THE BEST!! I love the iron on logo idea! I want 5.)) I'm getting ready to have twins in our family so I am so excited & really like the bibs you showed from All About Blanks. Those are in my cart now. Thank you for your tips & I love your enthusiasm for this hobby. Also, I want to thank you for your service to our country!!
It for storing our bobbin on top of the thread spool, slide you bobbin onto it and then put the the 2 ends onto your spool of thread. Keeps them together. I use them.
Hi Becky, that purple thing is used to keep your threads and bobbins of same colors together. You will put the open end down inside a spool of thread, then put the bobbin on top of the closed end to keep them together.
Can't wait for the Iron On's!! Perfect solution for you. Just awsome. Love the Quilter's Patch patterns. Going to have to go order something. Great haul video today. Loved seeing the pics of all the happy faces at Embroidery Market. Looked like a fun time for all.
Missed that shop hop... Love 2 Chicks and Quilters Patch... Your purple mystery item is a bobbin holder that goes on top of your thread spool. I am doing the Bluebonnet Shop Hop next week.
Hi Becky, love the fact that you are getting the iron on logo's of your shop. Will you also have your first logo available? That matches the other items I have of yours.
@@sheilafruge60 She just said in the video that we would have to take our own Scan N Cut machines - and that if we were flying to take them as our carry on bag.
You’re right, she said bring your scan & cut. The only way I would consider taking mine is in the original box in the styrofoam and then the box would be wrapped up in a quilt or something like that then in a suitcase or bag that will keep it right side up and it would be in my possession at all times. 😂😂

Thank you for another great video. I have about 20 of those purple things. I have them in 3 colors & before I got my multi thread holder I used them to keep my bobbins matched to my spools when making FSA.
Love those cute giraffes Becky I'll see you at Quiltfest with SMP. I entered my quilt. it was easy to do. why do I get intimated by that? Just Do It. lol so glad your are teaching. Love those cute panels!
I use the PelTex for a well known embroidery pattern maker's village houses, especially when I goof up on the supplies that come with the kit. It's great stuff!
So glad to hear about the Pellon products. Thank you for being so sweet and entertaining. I’m going to contact that company to make my daughter’s logo. Thank you for all the info.
What a fantastic video, Becky! You certainly had a fabulous time on the shop hop and the embroidery show. I have wanted a Pellon product card forEVER! Did they tell you they have them available to everyone now or are they making one for you? Looking forward to your next vid!
Great to visit with you! The iron on logos will be terrific. I’m in! However, I don’t have a heat press. Could you possibly give us a lesson on using a heat press and suggest what to buy? Thx!!
Thank you for sharing this great information on the stabilizers and Pellon. You are also a wealth of information and inspiration. Always love your videos ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think OESD has their own manufacturing? I prefer their products to Pelion. It’s easier to identify and use. They’re really good if one needs a small amount for a certain purpose.
Hey Becky! I have always looked for the Pellon equivalent to any stabilizer I needed for a project. I am mainly a bag maker and learned early on about stabilizers. Thank you for bringing this to light to those who don’t know or not aware ❤
You bought some adorable projects! Thanks for sharing them with us. I don’t know how you get everything done. Yes, wearing flip flops is the best! Here in Plano we aren’t quite there, but soon. I rarely wear shoes all spring and summer. I’m a flip flop girl!! Have a good week! 🤗🤗
Wish we were wearing flip flops here in MI but it snowed 3” here. I’m so jealous! I am ready for warmer weather. What a fun shop hop. I see others have told you what the purple thing is, so I won’t repeat. I look forward to your tutorial on binding. I like binding on my long arm but will love learning your technique and any tips you have.
Thank you for shopping for me...:) this is the year I am trying to not buy and sew from my stash - so I enjoy watching what you buy. The purple thing is a bobbin holder that sit in the thread spool.
You always have such happy videos! You really have some neat-o shops that make me to think about moving from Hawaii back to the Mainland! lol! Maybe I'll have to be satisfied watching your videos and your sew alongs! Woo Hoo! Another cruise! And an IRON-ON!!! SO COOL! Do you wash the t-shirt first? I like that you want to know what is inside! Me too!
Could you please do a video showing the inference between simply appliqué and stitch artist 2. I’m so confused over the difference and which is better.
Your plastic tool is not a tweezer, it is for keeping thread spool and bobbin together. Long side down the hole of thread spool and pop the bobbin on the loop which should stick out at top. I have a couple and my main use is to keep things together on a project where I am needing multiple color changes.
Stick the two ends of the purple thing into the center of your bobbin then stick it that through the center of your mini cone of matching thread! Keeps them together nicely and the loop at the top doesn’t allow the bobbin to fall through!
Right! I use these too.
@@melbakilpatrick3329 me as well
Yes I like keeping my bobbins with the same thread spool so I use these.
Becky. It for thread spools. You slide the bobbin up the two sticks and then poke the stick end into the spool.
Thanks! I was trying to figure out how to work it. :)
Oh Becky it’s used to hold a bobbin on your spool of thread! You’re too cute!
You talk like she should have known. I’ve never seen them before either. Does that mean I’m too cute too ?
😅

It holds bobbin on spool
Your little purple thing is to attach a bobbin to the spool of thread . I live them. They work well with the threads I use for sewing.

Thank you for all the Pellon info, I agree the rebranding is very pricey and if I can do it for less that's what I'm going to do.

Thank you so much for the Pellon info. You are so right and what a savings!
