    I enjoy watching your videos. I started following you not long ago...
    I bought my daughter a telescope for Christmas and started doing some research about telescopes and I stumbled on one of your videos, and now you got me hooked 😅

    Hey Damon, big fan, I just have to say your content is amazing, it is so well done and so fun to watch. Your videos got me into astronomy and astrophotography. You are my favorite channel on youtube by far, and I'm super grateful to watch amazing videos like this completely for free. The only way I could show support is watching every video and supporting you on your Patreon. Keep it up man, love your work. Cheers ❤

    You mention many times how free it is, but you need to sign up and it looks like $40/ month. Not exactly free… Very cool, though.

      It is free. They have 2 very nice telescopes available for you to use for free after taking ~30 seconds to sign up via their website. No credit card information needed. But if you want to use their full telescope range, including some of their biggest and most expensive telescopes for free, then you have to be a paying member, which starts at $40 a month. Hope this helps and clear skies! 😁👍

    Hey Damon, I truly enjoy watching your videos as I am a big fan of yours. Thank you for making to much great videos and informing me about iTelescope. This is definitely going to help me in the hobby, but I just have one question. Can you use iTelescope on mobile (iPad or iPhone), is it functional on mobile (iPad or iPhone)? If not, how can I access iTelescope without a computer or laptop? Thank you!

    • @DamonScotting
      @DamonScotting  8 месяцев назад +1

      Nope. You don't have to pay to use 2 of their telescopes. All you have to do is spend 30 seconds signing up, no credit card information required. If you want access to every single telescope, some of which are veryyy powerful, then you will need to be a paying member. All the best and clear skies! 😁👍

      @@DamonScotting session time of the 2 free scopes (T68 and T33) is limited to 30 minutes which is useless because most of them are LRGB and youre forced to do at least 2 exposures per filter. You cant actually finish any free session because even the lowest session settings will take at least 43 minutes. The free sessions are also limited to 6 per account. There is no such thing as free, but even if there was, iTelescope is certainly not. You shouldve also mentioned that these are not meant for on the fly amateur Astrophotography. These are research grade Telescopes and their hourly rates are definitely not worth it for regular AP. Anything over $10/h is bordline robbery for regular AP.

    Hi Damon, New to the channel. I am a beginner in astrophotography would you recommend ITelescope for a complete novice like myself?

    • @DamonScotting
      @DamonScotting  8 месяцев назад

      Yes! Alongside some of your own personal astrophotography. Remote astrophotography compliments your personal observations nicely. It doesn't have to be one or the other. 😁👍

    You are very good youtuber! I have a question: Is Skywatcher 150p heritage good for a beginner? Is it good for astrophotography? Thank you and good christmas. 😀👍❄️

    • @UgorCZ
      @UgorCZ 7 месяцев назад

      Hey, maybe it’s already late but just stumbled upon your comment. Just wanna say I have heritage 130p and it’s amazing scope. You can see a lot and it’s easy to use. However, it’s not perfect for astrography as the mount is not motorized ofc, and a dslr camera is probably too heavy for the plastic focuser & mount. You can try out those astro webcams or mount your phone to the scope. I’m curently trying the “phone option”. Cheers!

    • @Sharpless2
      @Sharpless2 6 месяцев назад

      For anyone else reading this: Please save yourself from the heritage and dont buy it. Dont buy any Telescope right now, the prices are waaaay up. Save up around 350-450 and buy an 8 inch dob instead. With the heritage you get what you pay for, its simply not worth its asking price. The helical focuser is downright horrible, the finder is useless for precision, you dont get any light shroud to block stray light and increase contrast, etc. The only advantage it has is the variable focal length. Dobsonians are cheap for the amount of aperture you get, but dont cheap out on them. For a beginner, the 150p is really not a good idea.
      Always go for a 2 inch Crayford or Rack and Pinion focuser (seriously, the ease of use and precision is 100% worth it). If youre in light polluted skies and have stray light around you (street lamps, neighbors, etc) dont get a Trusstube but a regular full tube instead.
