Finally getting to watch today’s episode. Today did not feel like a Friday, and there are few better ways to destress than Drakkenheim.
It was a blast watching Pluto and Veo back in action! Amazing episode as always guys, thank you kindly for sharing.
I've been thinking about this duel.....and the most impressive thing to fight.....is the Executioner.
I could have swore Big Linda was killed when the Queen of Thieves lair was flooded with Ratlings. But this is definitely a fitting tribute.

@@CallenExile There was never confirmation. The closest thing was during the raid, Monty said they could hear the roars of big linda, and after some time, the roars had stopped.
So the assumption was that linda was overrun, but that was all they knew

Possibly meant no Arcane magic. The characters are relatively consistent to call Divine magic "miracles" instead of spells.
Of the 3 countries duels, the Westemar duel was no rules besides it being 1v1 so I think that's what it was. I don't remember any controversy surrounding smites and someone from Drakkenforce cast a fog cloud to hinder TM

Such masterful storytelling here. It’s akin to reading an epic volume of a enthralling series of high fantasy novels. I haven’t played in nearly 25 years and I badly want to get back into the throws and intrigue of D&D one again. In turn, I did end up creating a few characters on D&D Beyond and hopefully I will be able to find a game soon. Astute work by all 4 of you. It’s been a pleasure.
The Caspian duel is very cool conceptually, no matter what other kingdoms say about it.
Monty does such a good job at playing the paladins - making them noble but also flawed. Love it!

I want the group to go drop the body of Lucretia Mathias at the feet of the High Paladin and say “here’s our monster” just for the look on the High Paladins face.
That would be insane, but I doubt they can kill her so easily. She's like a lvl 20 cleric

For some reason Monty saying "noscope 360" dealt psychic damage to me. The sort of weird anachronistic crossover I never knew I wanted, but love immensely.
Anyone thought that the High Paladin took the duel so he could just go into Drakenhiem in order to go after Lucrecia Mathias?
My thought was that was potentially their main goal and everything else was a red herring that would be nice to get but effectively were things they were willing to give up.
Unless Lucretia actually goes after them, I don't think the paladins would do something like that. I feel like they do have a hunger for political power, but cheating in a duel isn't their thing.
@@willmena96 Would Lucretia not an impressive trophy? They also believe her to be heretical it would be a large leap in my opinion if they perceived her to be a monster. I do not believe there was a rule against going after members of the falling fire imposed at the start of the duel and I don't think that potentially throwing the duel in order to achieve a more important and not prohibited goal would be cheating. Though this is only one outcome and an opinion of an interesting possibility.
@@harrywhiteley89 I do think it could be an interesting outcome, I just don't feel they would do something like that. From my perspective, it's easier to just win the duel with another creature and then take both trophies home (Sebastian and Lucretia).
I mean, everything could happen lol. Although the expected thing is to watch the characters make the tough decisions and hand her to the paladins while Sebastian see them do it. Maybe he'll be scared of being the next one since he had the same vision

Yeah, I see the "tactical advantage" of the Duelists being given permission to take out foreign assets being just too much for them to ignore.
@@SingleStepGaming killing that dragon will not be easy. There are other clockwork dragons and plus there are layer actions in the castle. Also, you have to think about everything else that’s living in the castle.

He rolled with advantage so......... either the armor is breastplate or maybe something like mythril to remove the armor's disadvantage. Either way a high mid level rogue, under the effects of pass without trace, and rolling with advantage is going to do amazing. Literally the lowest he could get was 33.
I believe it was a Studded Leather +3 with a lot of weird runes and delerium

They created it. The live play is the origin, its popularity led to them writing the campaign book.

I’ve spent the past few weeks listening to all of the series by either RUclips or podcasts and I have finally caught up.
What an emotional journey you lovely people have taken me on during my journeys to work or in the background whilst gaming.
If I could make one request, when listening via podcasts in my car. I have my volume set when everyone is taking, but as soon as Kelly talks I have to turn it down. I don’t know if it’s because of your bassy voice or your mic is closer. I’m not sure if anything can be done but it’s only a small thing and I’m still happy to change volumes around. On RUclips it’s fine haha.

Just got my Dungeons of Drakkenheim book yesterday was kinda sad that we didn’t get Big Linda’s statblock/ art.
Looking at the monster artwork I have to say I like The Lord of the Feast alot he looks so cool fell in love with his artwork the moment I laid eyes on it. Even the ratlings had cool art I’ll have to start reading the book at some point lol. The executioner was also a delight to see I could only imagine how the fight between The Executioner and The Lord of The Feast went down. That scene was so memorable I think I’ll have to rewatch the series again to relive the scene
But we do have a Big Linda statblock, and there is some art near her description which might be her. She's just a Tyrannosaurus Rex with some listed additional traits.

Art for Big Linda is on p.162, and the Stat Block is a T-Rex with changes made as described on p.163.
