If you were looking for Solo Tips then you came to the right place! .. Kind of. Sure, Solo Slooping is something I do but when it comes to things like PvP, you might be better off learning from my mistakes than my tips.
Solo Slooping is the most challenging and dangerous way to go about sailing on the Sea of Thieves so if you are trying to go for some money making, you best be prepared for trouble.
And in today's Episode, I will bring you along on an adventure so you can see what a Day in the Life of a Solo Slooper looks like. Enjoy!

hellooooooooooooooo
When you kill a guy point their cannon up and shoot cannon, have their mass fall.
For Solo sloop Defense is the best offense
I have never sailed on anything but a sloop and I have play with my brother a couple of times but I’m still trash
Literally started watching this channel 3 days ago and am already obsessed keep up the great work
Same
Thats exactly what happened to me
Agreed
I literally just started watching this channel today! what are the chances he uploads. Great videos btw!
Exactly the same I don’t even play this game so much but bcs of him I will play it again
The Merfolks Lullaby route doesnt take efficiency into account, it only shows the relation between outposts in regard to surplus/deficit commodities. Most of the time, the time you save by taking a simpler, circular route through all the outposts will more than make up for not chaining them perfectly together. More than that, any advantage of using the Merfolks route immediately disappears if you are doing more than one run and revisiting outposts anyway.
Yeah. Just set your route and buy and sell crates as needed.
The forts scale in difficulty based on vessel (and possibly crew size). If you learn to get fancy with the sword you can one shot just about every ghost on the forgotten forts till you get to the captain. But just aim before firing the blunderbuss and it will tighten the spread of shot, empty it into them enough times and you'll be speed running in no time. For the sword, you can hold block while also charging a lunge. During this charging window you can hop in any direction before it releases as well as strafe so you can line up to hit 3 targets at once.
Before my friends got the game i would solo sloop almost all the time. It's hard, and yet rewarding. keep up the awesome work man!
@cezet-ym9ly My friends don't want to play the game (I don't have any, and my little brother plays with his friends, which, I know pretty good.)
@@0AThijs I'm also looking for some friends to play with, lol
Honestly great video, i can relate with this since in my whole time of sea of thieves i have been solo slooping because i cant find any other teammates
Edit: I would just like to say thanks for the responses guys and have a great theiving day!
I volunteer as tribute.
@@aljosaskorjanc1475 tribute to what lol
What are you playing on if you're on Xbox try looking for group post it could be useful even if your PC
open crew brig is pretty nice place to matchmake. Or go to looking for group if you're on Xbox you'll find many pirates on there
i go solo on a sloop because I can't trust other people online, and I feel like I'm being a nuisance if I join an open crew
I haven’t really had a choice other than solo slooping since I downloaded this game and I very much think it’s helped me improve at this game waaaay faster. I feel like even though it’s harder it’s more rewarding
It's also just more peaceful, you get to do whatever you want without worry. I love to just sell cargo and do commodity runs with the sea forts mixed in, making allies with all I come across for increased income (I use the fact that I can give them free MA rep for simply not sinking me and my cargo that they won't deliver anyways to get the alliance 9/10 times) and rinse and repeat
You can’t even manage the ship. You literally have to spend one minute on the wheel, then run down to your map and then run to the sale. It’s literally impossible and takes all the fun away. Don’t get the obsession with online multiplayer shit.
@@hatdownlowofficialwith the sloop, you can see the map over the railing behind the wheel, and sail controls are right next to the wheel as well. The only time you need to move away from the wheel is to adjust the map each time you reach a destination which isn't that bad. Solo slooping can be very fun once you get the hang of it!
@@hatdownlowofficial skill issue
@@Bleeblooplu shit, boring game issue
One time I was solo slooping in a server in the middle of an event. Very peaceful day, everyone was just going about their business, trying to do the event, and I could just treasure hunt in peace! Happy days.
Boring
@@Cursein Maybe for you, but I enjoy the more casual play stuff.
Lucky
You’re very good for being on a solo sloop. Idk why in one of your community posts you said you were bad because you’re better then me and I’ve been playing since season 1. Keep up the good work.
That's very flattering 😅
solo slooping has a LOT of depth to it, and a hell of a skill curve, hes not bad, but not amazing, but honestly the only 2 things that get him is just him abandoning his ship to float off so quickly, and cannons, which a lot of people struggle with but either way, he has some great videos from what i have been finding over the last few days
I've been playing since day 1 and I'm shit
I jus started playing 2 weeks ago I'm PL already and I'm not great on cannons thts my weakest point is cannons but I'm trying I think I'm decent at everything else but I'm way far from being a sweat or good at the game but time will tell I'm usually really good at every game I play but tht jus takes time and practice them damn cannons tho thts a skill I may never aquire
I laughed too hard at this… As I find myself solo slooping more often than not, I can definitely relate and enjoy your honest yet hilarious storytelling.
I can relate as I don’t have friends... great video and keep up the great content
Friends are harder to find than Chests of Legends

that aint nothing, im a solo galleon
Now that's a Pro Gamer and that's some serious balls you got there😂
I genuinely used to do that
Me and my moms first session was duoing a galleon
It does take longer to sink
@@acwolfPegasus He's got cannon balls!!
as a... less than expert solo slooper of quite a few years, the un-fantasized truth of this video was both entertaining and vindicating.
very nice video.
These videos are so high quality and entertaining that when I first saw one of them i was sure that this channel would have 500k+ subs. Absolutely amazing work, keep grinding.
Found your channel a few days ago and I’ve now binged all of your videos. Your content is incredibly entertaining, I’m sure you’ll have tons of success in the future! :)
Yoooo I was doing the same yesterday
Me too!
I found your channel just a little over a month ago and I've adored your content since - it's so nice seeing your channel grow so fast! Looking forward to the next video already
Solo slooping is so fun. Dangerous for sure, and I've had plenty of harrowing experiences and outright losses, but extremely gratifying. One of my most fun moments ever while solo slooping is when I managed to fend off a galleon of 4 reapers long enough to make them give up. I used a cheeky anchor turn to point into the wind, set up with a sniper, and waited until their patience eventually wore down. I did have to fend off a few boarding attempts, but between some well-timed charged sword attacks, home territory advantage, and a bit of shameless double-gunning, they never managed to do more than harass me a bit. Honestly the most annoying part was the sniper up in their crow's nest, as he was actually really accurate and single-handedly made me go through like a lot of my food stores, but fortunately I had killed a meg earlier and so I had a lot of very good quality meat to pull me through. Also, the wide variety of cursed cannonballs I used to slow them down were crucial, as it meant they couldn't just pull up beside me and broadside me into oblivion before I could make some distance. Best part is I nabbed a second meg on my way back to port and reaped all that sweet, sweet gold and reputation. I only wish I had recorded it so that I could share my story better.
One tip that has saved me a lot of trouble is to head back to port pretty often. Although it'll add a lot of unnecessary travel time, if you're a patient person, it's worth it for the guaranteed rewards and peace of mind. All I'm gonna say is losing 3 hours of progress is far more devastating than losing only one hour.
Just started playing this game again after a long break, no-one i know plays it so I’m always solo. Just a few hours ago i had to defend 4 hours of loot from a galleon that was hostile even though they had the alliance flag up, took them a while but they finally got control of my ship. Even though it was a huge loss for me, it was still pretty fun.
this channel is too under rated... watched your recent video and i cant stop watching. keep it up man
Always an absolute blast to see another upload from my favorite story guy
This guy's got all the ingredients for a successful gaming channel. Subbed, I think you're going places Cliff.
I started play the game like a week ago and thanks to you I know a lot of tips and things
you might not be the best solo slooper, but one thing is for sure, you got some awesome commentary! your videos feels less like normal lets play content, and more like a documentary of your adventures, and i love it!
Holy crap those "double gunning sweats" was me and my buddy. That's cool!
i love this channel
edit : the prison key can open you another treasure door up the fortress
Happy to see the growth and praise that is fully deserved! Yet another banger of a video!
been WAITING for a new video to drop. love this channel, love the content, love the storytelling. the only thing i don’t like is that there aren’t more of these videos to watch
I started watching this man yesterday, he by far the most entertaining sot videos
i dont know why but I got addicted to this channel
Your channel is fairly new but man it deserves so much more love, i love watching your videos on recess. Your voice and just the way you make your content is just magic.
i just wanted to say your videos are the reason i got into sea of thieves and i cant thank you more
solo slooping is: hands down the best way to become a better crewmate. when you see crews hanging off cannons or the wheel you know they've not really grasped the onboard mechanics... if they had... they'd know they need to haul ass and help on the bigger ships. XD
Legit my favourite sea of thieves greatior keep it Up mate
This reminds me of when I tried doing the new adventure. I somehow got caught up in a alliance war and got an FotD out of it.
That sounds like a better adventure than the adventure itself
@@CliffTheStoryGuy yeah but at least i had a crew
Makes me feel good to see so many other solo sloopers in the comments. ❤
The best thing about this channel is that Cliff covers every subject in sea of thieves in a fun and interesting way
It would be epic if you did this in games like subnautica ect. Otherwise loved it, felt the pain due to reasons. Keep up the good content my guy!
subnautica is like underwater minecraft lol
Yeah ngl they aren't even remotely comparable
@@vivekjk6729 Eh, I think Subnautica has more terror. Minecraft is not really related to Subnautica.
Warden...hold my beer.
Hope I get to cross you on the seas one day. Your previous videos inspired me to nuke a galloen with an Athena keg last night while I was soloing a sloop. Lost my ship, but loved the sweet revenge.
I recently went on a huge binge of sea related movies. Everything from Mutiny on the Bounty and Billy Bud to Pirates of the Caribbean. ( i highly recommend the Hornblower series. Free on youtube) But i needed something to scratch that itch. These videos do that for me.
I can definitely relate to being a solo slooper. 6 hours of game play and many treasures lost. I need a crew!
Finally a true solo. Most of these RUclips hacks claim solo but have 2 or 3 mates with them. Solo means 1. Uno persona. Not 3 guys with you. Mad respect. Keep up the great content.
Learning some obscure tip from Blurbs is the most relatable part of this video.
I've not been wanting to put my sword down since I started watching him lmao
Haha same
Ye those parrot clowns were some doublegunning sweats. Bet they took down mixel already. Good work love ur content :)
I thought just double gunning made you a sweat I didn't know it was a skill thing 😭
this guys videos are so great for such a small RUclipsr this dude deserves hella love
This is so relatable. The only thing worse is solo hourglass
"As a Solo Slooper you take W's where you can get them!"
Amen to that!
From what I have got when solo slooping is never hold treasure for very long. Always sell it when you can. Always be on a lookout. Always when you see a ship, go the opposite way. Avoid deep waters, to avoid skelly fleets.
Your channel is really blowing up! Congrats! 🥳🥳🥳
Thank you!
Just started watching you but already love your videos. Keep up the great work!
I have and always will be a solo slooper so I have developed a lot of patience. There is only so much one person can take before they are just done with it.
Ex:
Megalodon+Skele Ship+No Wood at 8 in the morning with 3K gold worth of cargo on the ship.
As a fellow solo slooper, this is so accurate. One second you are chilling on the seas, and the next a skeleton ship, megladon, and player galleon have surrounded you
I’ve been a solo slooper my entire career, and it’s tough. One kraken takes years to kill. God forbid you find a ghost galleon cause those eat up like 30 canon balls and even more planks. And beating even a normal sloop takes complete focus and mental fortitude. You die once with them on your ship, it’s over, you get knocked off once from one stupid blunder bomb, it’s over
ah,finally someone who keeps up the good content, and i found you yesterday and i'm aleready intrested in your videos
Haven’t even started watching the video yet but that thumbnail is my sea of thieves experience in a nutshell
it really do be like that sometimes
I got the game 3 weeks ago and your videos are really helping me. I’m already 2/3 way to pirate legend
My man, keep it up
Those videos are just great
Aah, another evening to sit back, relax and watch some great content!
Love the videos, you’re by far one of the most underrated RUclipsrs that I’ve seen!
I swear, your videos just gets better and better with each upload!
I love your content .It always make my day better
"There's nothing more difficult of sea of thieves than solo sloop-ing"
People who solo galleon: Am I a joke to you?
Absolutalely outrageous content my guy! Subscribed, and i cannot stop watching your videos man. Cheers!
Bro these videos are addicting. I like your content, keep up the great work 😁
For ages and ages on SoT I solo slooped and honestly it went fairly well, but I'm no good at PvP so anytime a ship came close it basically was game over. High risk but high reward if it went well
Solo slooping, that’s me!
Boy do I get bullied in the sea for it.
i'm absolutely loving your content dude. keep it up
You’re legit the only sea of thieves youtuber I enjoy watching
I stopped playing sea of thieves due to the unfairness of being a solo slooper, but watching this guy is a lot more entertaining than anything I could do on my own. Hilarious
I became pirate legend only doing SOLO..get back out there and FIGHT FOR GLORY..it takes DETERMINATION to WIN!! Don't worry if you get sunk by reapers you respawn and you keep going!!! TO ViCTORY!!!
@@gavinshirley yeah I prefer to use my determination playing something else. Though I'm glad you persevered, give em hell my friend
I mainly solo sloop, because all my friend stop playing after we hit PL. So i can say, the life of an Solo Slooper is HARD!
P.S.: Keep up the great work. I love your Channel 👍
I often hear people say stuff like that which is why I always advise everyone to take their time and not rush into hitting PL. Not saying your crew rushed it, but the early days are truly the most magical for most pirates out there
@@CliffTheStoryGuy No, your right me and my crew rushed it. That was back in Season 1 and we wanted the PL curse so bad lol.
But ur completely right in saying that the early days are the most fun for most :)
@@CliffTheStoryGuy Yup, Rushing PL is the biggest blunder one can do.
As a solo slooper i can confirm this video is 100% accurate
As a solo slooper myself the most important thing is to keep your ship afloat that’s how I get everybody
#priorities
my fav channel rn
Your videos have good re watch value. Love your channel
It’s great to see this side of the game represented which is similar to my own experience.
Love the content Cliff
Love the vids! They provide entertaining content that still feels attainable to ppl like myself that aren't happyf333ts, able to solo 3 galleons.
Some comments: why pistol and sword as your weapons? I'd suggest sniper and sword or sniper and blunder?
When you're at an outpost, I'd recommend getting a single storage crate instead of the other crates and using the island barrels to fill it, you can get all item types with the box and you will get much more resources over time than with the cannon/wood crates.
Bro you are blowing up! What you're doing is great and the algorithm recognizes it, I'm sure that if the rest of your content is as high quality as this your sub counts are gonna soar! Best of luck, I'm definitely subscribing to see how your journey goes. >:D
I just bought a series X after being a life-long PlayStation user. Figured I should probably give the Xbox’s flagship “social” game a try. I know it’s toxic as hell but I’ve played Ark, Rust, and DayZ so I think my pettiness will fit in nicely. Hope I never cross you at sea but if I do, make sure you tell Davey Jones exactly who sent you (;
Hey, love your channel bro! You think you can make a video about Ancient Coins?
For my first actual solo sloop, I sailed and took down a skele fleet world event while being chased by a brig reaper. A storm came in, and one thing became another, and I saw their brig sail OVER the deck of my ship. It was a damn good time.
Literally just got spawncamped by a dark adventerer reaper galleon. Absolutely love this game.
I expected a guide on how to solo sloop, but the guy retelling tales of his (mis)adventure is much better.
I did a couple of forts and some of those underwater trails yesterday on solo and it was easier than I thought it would be. I mean, it's not a fort of the damned solo or anything but pretty good for me
0:10
I counter with solo Galleon, which I do for two reasons:
1) My siblings love the cool pirate ships
2) People are very slightly less likely to attack you
Solo slooping is great for becoming a great all around pirate. I still do from time to time. It keeps you on your toes and forces you to get better at doing everything.
I just came back after a round of solo slooping. My usual 2 Mates were asleep and did not wanna make the sunken pearl Mission with me, who just started playing a few days ago and had lots of catching up to do. I hated the mission just as much as them but it had to be completed.
I ended up completing the mission with the Chest of everlasting sorrows with me. And boi although that mission was a drag, taking that chest to the closest outpost really showed me the dangers of solo slooping.
The chest has a curse that constantly fills up your ship with water for as long as it's aboard so it was basically me, having to adjust course and sails, evading other players, checking my map and unload the water all at the same time. I ended up making the trip tho and cashing it in at a gold hoarder for a measly 6 grand. I gotta say I really enjoyed that adrenaline rush
I appreciate how well you tell tales :)
Ngl your Videos are the most entertaining out there
This dude made me start playing sea of thieves again
"Theres nothing more difficult on the Sea of Thieves than solo slooping." well my friend let me introduce you to the near impossible task, solo galleon LMAO
You've been blessed by The Algorithmic Recommendation brother. Congratulations
As a brand new player that is just waiting for when my friends have time, I feel this.
tbh you only have 1% of the subs you deserve. so underrated. i dont even like sea of thieves that much but these vids are amazing
My most incredible sloop moment was during a simple vault quest! Two savage pirates in a sloop were engaging a new sailor! I charged em, and absolutely wrecked them to allow the noob to escape!
They didn’t sink, but instead called for a truce! And I made sure they felt the sting of my cannons cause by goodness- they were barely hanging on!
So that if anyone’s having a bad sea of thieves day, I want to let you know that i let two guys trick me into thinking they were humble merchants whilst having 2 ritual skulls (one of them being a skull of destiny) and having an active fort of the damned as a solo slooper. 😭
so hard to become solo sloopers.. and I like your video man keep it up!
Love this channel the best sea of thieves youtuber
One time I was solo slooping, and accidentally sailed into a fleet battle. The two skelly galleons sandwiched me so hard my sloop got lifted out of the water, and all 3 ships were just stuck in place. Good times.
This whole video was so relatable, I have to solo and do everything on the ship and I get teamed up on by toxic people that both try to team up to kill me
I think solo sloopers need group therapy. This is pretty good one and yes i am one 😂
My most recent adventure came today. After just having a peaceful run doing 5 ghost forts and saw a brig fighting so i got back to my boat with 0 supplies and tucked on the fotd island heard them say "hey i need help on the ship" to which i go " i can help just dont shoot me" and scared and surprised the brig crew. Ended up spending about 30min helping them out and giving them pointers(2/3 are couple week new to the game) and when the boss killed me i told them where my stash was and wished them luck. As a solo slooper i usually get ganged up on even with good intentions so it was nice to meet a friendly crew
