Greetings here in HongKong sir Adam and to sir Paul Washer. Thankyou for this biblical teaching you are sharing. This is a solid confirmation of my yesterday's prayer to GOD. Well, Godbless you and know that I am personally learning by your Ministries online. Thank you so much, Praise be to our living God.
I made my planning after watching this great video, but again I saw that verse in Matthew 6: 19 Do not save up your treasure on earth. . I am confused a bit. May Be I am missing something. Please help me understand this verse
Not in the technical sense. A tithe means 10%. Under the Old Testament economy, every believer was to give 10% of all that they produced or made to the Lord. I give special attention to this subject in the first lesson when discussing the difference between tithing and the principle of "grace giving" as new covenant believers.
Hello Adam! This is a very wonderful and helpful video. I really wanted to be a good steward of my finances. I hope you will upload more videos like this. But I can't find the link to download that documents you're referring to
How is saving not a lack of faith in God's future daily provision which He promises to us? So much of saving is geared toward retirement which is not biblical, future hope of self sufficiency without having to work
The Scriptures clearly teach (both didactically and in principle) the value and wise practice of saving money: Genesis 41, Proverbs 13:22, Proverbs 21:5, I Thessalonians 4:11-12. Yes, God is the provider of everything we need. Paul says as much, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). Nevertheless, one of the main ways God provides for us is through money, and it is our job to steward what he provides for us (Matthew 25:14-27). Thus, I would say that savings is not a lack of faith, but rather an act of obedience (at least in principle) as a faithful steward. No doubt, we must rely on God. He is the ultimate provider. The goal of savings is not to be able to be lazy in your later years, but to be able to provide for your unexpected needs in the future that will inevitably come. On top of this, you save so that you can help your neighbor when they have needs. If you do not save then you cannot provide in these ways apart from seeking financial help from others or going into debt, which is not biblically advisable.
