I got more than a few chuckles out of this one! First, you had this (admittedly wonderful) pen for "a long time...a LONG time..." and then you quip that you're now an "old man"! As far as I can tell, this pen first shipped in 2020, which, what with COVID etc feels like a long time but is only a couple of years; I've had some in my collection for over 35. As for "old", I can only say...wait for it...! I hit 66 last month but don't feel old yet!
1. It's fun to see your continued enthusiasm after all these years and hundreds of reviews. 2. I wish manufacturers would call label nibs stub nibs. All I can guess is that they see the mislabelling as a way to introduce stubs to customers who don't want to be. That said, little stub nibs like this are great.
I would like to get a recommendation for a fountain pen. I have the following requirements for it: 1. certain broadness to it (I don’t really like when my fingers touch while writing) 2. shouldn’t be too light 3. smooth writing (4. price ~ 150$ max if possible) Thanks for the time
Thank you for this video, I did not know this barrel is opaque until I watched this video. I have wanted this as it is really beautiful but I think I will skip this as it has no way to show ink levels. I got a Leonardo momento magico which has an ink window, piston filler and crack ice finish, it is cheaper than furore grande and is a nice pen of both practicality and attractiveness.
Thank you for another useful review. My friend, in comparison to me, you write at warp speed! I literally draw my letters, thinking of penmanship as art. If I want speed, I use a keyboard. But the "art" aspect of my handwriting is what motivates me to use fountain pens. No ink window. Have you held the pen up to bright light? I have several piston fill FP's with no ink window, but they are translucent enough to show their ink level if enough light is available. Then again, I have piston fill FP's that are opaque. I have no idea what the ink level is in those. Maybe this is a pen that falls into the latter category. I like the shape of the pen, too. I am an old guy. I learned penmanship in public school in the 1950's. In those days, the king of cigar shaped FP's was Sheaffer. I have many of those in my pen accumulation. (Note I avoid the word "collection.") I think the overall physical size of this pen just might win out over the Sheaffers.
This pen's chatoyant material in the turquoise color is, truly, the most gorgeous I've seen in real life or in review. Thanks for sharing this one with us ... you're still a young man compared to, ahem, some of us.
Hey wanted to ask something . Should i buy jinhao 1200 gold dragon its up for around 6$ right now on amazon . So is it a good buy ? Or should i go for something else
Wouldn't a size 8 nib and feed housing fit in the current section? Does it have the same diameter as a size 6? The cap looks long enough to be able to close the pen without damaging the nib. Just eyeballing it, here.
What's with the Orthodox christian chant in the beginning? Are you Orthodox? Have you tried any of those lavish Namiki Pilot Pens? They're quite fancy.
Just want to say you're doing an effing awesome job. Enjoying your videos a lot.

I'm a big fan of the cigar shape as well, and the acrylic is gorgeous. Definitely on my list.
Fantastic shape, and luscious materials. I'd definitely want an ink window for a pen at this level.

Really deserves to be in your collection, one thing that Leonardo does nicely is the chatoyance they manage to get into their products.😍😍😍😍

No, a #6 nib has a 6 mm diameter and a #8 nib has an 8 mm diameter.

More old man noises during writing sample - very funny.
