Saw this movie in LA in June. Easily one of the best movie I seen this year. If you like romance or life’s of immigrants. A must see. Same production company, A24, that made Everything Everywhere All at Once. Movie in English n Korean. 👍🏻
I think the pace is kind of slow, setting is pretty simple. I think it really rely on the main actors. When you see their eye contact you can feel how they feel. I personally like the male main actor, watched one of his Korean drama he was so funny. Totally different than this time on how he act. The female actress not the pretty one but their dynamic is good. As you said it’s kind of heartbroken at the end and I saw all the audiences are quiet when they leave. Somehow I think everyone feel the sadness.
The actors performance is very good, or in this triangle relationship, no one did anything wrong. It is the most heartbreaking to have to face this sad ending despite making no mistakes. The slow rhythm also allows the audience to put their own emotions into it, which I think is good.
Absolutely agree with you that this is the best relationship movie in 2023. This is director Celine Song’s personal encounter. Even the pace is slow and there are many silent moments, it gives us room to deeply think about this relationship. Nora did remind Hae seung that the young little girl he knew before does not exist anymore. The final meeting for the three parties, though heart breaking, is a necessary close of the relationship so everyone can move on without hanging too much in the past. Likewise, this is applicable to all of us to close the previous chapter and move on with a new start.
@@josephchen4744 I agree very much, people always like to miss the past, we like her from the past, but do we like her from the past? Or is she the same as she is today? Or through her to remember the former self? The ending may be heartbreaking, but it is also a process of learning to let go and grow.

套戲每個無對白既地方都很值得用心去睇 好好留意演員既動作同眼神想表達既情感❤️
留白位真係好到，每次想講出口，但係又講唔出嘅，正正反映人生好多嘅遺憾

最後一段等車嘅對視，由雙方都唔想拜拜，變咗雙方都想錫對方、想私奔，到最後大家都努力記住對方嘅樣，彷彿最後一面、唔知會唔會再見一樣。我覺得短短兩三分鐘係成套戲嘅精華，睇到好心up (個人感覺）

艾力我同你感覺一樣呀， 今年到目前呢刻暫時睇咗接近90套戲，呢套係我最喜歡最喜歡嘅一套，導演至高境界係有部份地方刻意冇對白，哪種內心縱有千言萬語卻欲言又止，那種有口難言，無聲勝有聲的畫面，就是電影是用畫面說故事的最高境界！
我都大力推薦咗畀我好多朋友睇， 我希望佢喺年底可以能夠獲得一啲電影獎項啦！

你提嗰D戲我都冇睇,我唔特別鍾意睇愛情片,因為冇類似經歷好難投入,但以前睇好多韓片,愛情片都多數韓片...晚秋我覺得好感人,又係兩個唔同文化背景,得唔到愛嘅寂寞人相遇,相愛,分開,又係有D異國情調咁,湯唯拍完就嫁咗畀導演....湯唯個版係重拍,原先係金日成年代嘅戲嚟,但好似火災,原片燒咗,播唔返...我覺得最深刻嗰場係玄彬同湯唯幫個陌生外國人配音嗰幕,因為開始撻着...

我覺得遺憾愛情戲嚟講，用百幾分鐘內交代成件事太快，感動又未去到太深。可能太耐冇呢一種戲上畫，呢套戲係值得睇嘅❤但又未去到甜蜜蜜個種經典愛情故事。
如果成套戲可以加埋一啲令人感動嘅音樂就好啦
