Just beat this game and this build follows closely with my own ideas throughout the playthrough. i noticed how ludicrous the stunlock can get if you use elemental plague and multihit status-building spells along with the snake spirit
Up to this point, I managed to almost finish the game without really focussing too much on builds, especially embedding. I imagine I can complete NG as I am now, but seeing builds like this makes me reconsider even late in the game.
My only problem with the Sun Jian set is the fact that it's heavy - I could really benefit from being able to having a higher water stat to defend myself against fire foes
I love how versatile metal is in Wo Long; even if you're not specced into it, it really helps sustain other statuses/elements well. Quick question, though: why not throw fire on the staff? You mentioned placing lightning on either weapon, so why not fire to tack on another debuff that helps wear down enemies?
Cowboy - could I suggest the attribute *Negate Attribute Damage upon Guard for weapons. This stat means that elemental damage does not hit you if you are guarding. In your walkthrough you indicated that you had significant difficulty with Zhang Liao. With this stat, guarding negates his lightning damage as well as build-up making his fight significantly easier. This stat is also very beginner friendly (well at least as soon as they are able to find it) as it means that deflecting elemental damage isn't necessary, you can simply guard to negate it.
Yeah metal spells kinda sucks early in the game.. im on the 4th main mission and trying to get my toxin to actually proc on enemies is like pulling teeth. I mean does tick damage while theyre standing in the puddles but i literally have to stand back and just chuck spells at them over and over and then run around waiting for my bar to refill and then keep chucking them and MAYBE it will proc before they die.. kinda wishing i went with earth until later in the game and then respec
Wood to have more health probably. In one of his other guides he did mention wood & water are probably best for beginning players but in these games having more health early is very helpful. But also look at some useful low level spells from other trees like the armor one in earth only costing a few points but very helpful for instance, just don't go overboard early on until you can respec after a few levels He also has a beginner guide, so you could also look at that if you want a more in depth answer
@@MinorZero A big problem for me is having deflect and dodge on same button so I always move out of the way instead of a good deflect. I’ve restarted and for me it’s about being patient. Building your morale up with weaker enemies until I’m maxed out before attempting a boss. Just about to tackle the hardest boss in the game for, the first one.
@@peternowlan5196 Yeah it happens to everyone I think, especially if there is a lot to deflect. Another tip is the ability aqua blink that is very useful to dodge out of the way of red attacks you aren't comfortable deflecting. Helped me a lot in certain fights
I'm having fun with this game. The story kinda sucks and is all over the place, but the mechanics and combat are so deep, I'm addicted to it. I'd dare say I'll put it up there with Elden Ring, maybe a slight edge above it.
Hey Cowboy. Just getting to the end of second playthrough of Elden Ring and thinking of a new game. Would you recommend Sekiro or Wo Long as the better choice based on gameplay, visuals, size of game and replayability etc. Love your videos BTW.
A cool variation of this is using the metal ability that does damage based on the amount of ailments they have. I’m a little over level 110 or so and it takes about 5 hits of this ability to take down a boss. It’s really slow and close range but absolutely slaps, especially in multiplayer where you can get a third or fourth ailment applied.
274 Hours and still no Lightning Enchant 😞 Running around in all luck gear, And drop rate. Farm for every it feel like 🙂 That one Lightning Enchant is hiding pretty good !!!! He he
I feel like the whole moral thing is very gimmicky. I get wanting to set your self apart from other soulslike games but this doesn't do it for me. That said I am glad so many are having fun that's all that matters!

the main two i used to combo with it were toxin bubbles and bursting fireball

If u run any poision ability u auto cure lightning alsoparrying is zo much better then blocking

Are there grace sets better for armor? Or is tiger still numero uno?
Suprised the fanning peacock staff isnt used since its weapon art applies fire enchant

Wo Long more or less difficult than Sekiro?
In my opinion wo long is the easiest if you can get dodge parry the game will be a walk in the park. Haven’t did to much of NGP
Less, but the first boss is surprisingly hard. Just farm morale up if you have trouble getting past it.
